That would be pretty cool. It's obvious all the plans have some flaws which we can discuss after the battle, and it'd be nice to have QM involvement in that.

Battle of Lunqi Plateau
Azure Lances VS Heishan Bandits
You peer out one more time at the hastily forming bandit lines on the other side of the field. The noise around you, the low mumblings of your men and the sound of heavy boots shuffling, weapons knocking against each other and the ground, fills your ears and heart. It echoes within your being as you focus. After a few more seconds, you swiftly turn to your officers, and shout your orders.
"All cavalry will ride with me along our right flank! We shall drive away their riders and expose the side of their army. Zhu Fang, I leave you in charge of the centre! Hold fast and do not move, allow the enemy to come to you. Brace for their charge but do not allow the men to fall back even one step!" You bark out confidently. "Zhang Liao, hold our left flank and protect our sides and rear. Use spears and crossbows to fend off their horsemen and protect the centre! Yu Zhong, I leave the rest of the archers with you! Draw the enemy closer with a hail of arrows, and force their infantry to come to us! I need everyone to withstand their onslaught until I can outflank and overwhelm them!"
They give out their affirmations, and quickly move to their positions to organise and lead the units. You give a wordless motion to Lu Lingqi, who knowingly nods and follows you to the right flank of the army. You form up your cavalry on the edge of your frontline in a wedge-shaped formation, with you at it's head and Lu Lingqi just behind. Your veterans will form the first stampede and impact, the rest of your horsemen will follow through after them. You hear yelling from the other side of the field - the bandit array has begun to lumber forwards. All you can do now is trust in your friends to carry out your orders and perform to the best of their capabilities elsewhere on the field, whilst you win the cavalry battle and initiate your strategy. You adjust your helmet, and grip your halberd, and wait. The bandits, now jogging across the field, let out growls like wild beasts as they get closer.
"LOOSE!" The voice of Yu Zhong yells with clarity and authority somewhere to your left. You look up, to see an arc of arrows rain down upon the advancing brigands. Agonised screams and cries fill the air as dozens of arrows hit their mark. Unshielded outlaws stumble and collapse on the field, whilst more and more keep rushing towards your lines. You look up again to see a counter volley being launched at your infantry. Men raise shields in response and duck down as the deadly projectiles fall on them. You hear screams from your own soldiers.
"CONCENTRATE FIRE ON THEIR ARCHERS! AIM OVER THEIR FOOTMEN!" You hear Yu Zhong shout again, and a glance to your left reveals him directing the archers with his sword. Mounted next to him is Cao Xing, who is firing arrow after arrow in rapid succession.
The sound of approaching hooves and shouts alerts you, and you notice the rival horsemen opposite you have begun to trot in your direction. Either they did not realise that you had concentrated all your cavaliers in one place, and thus severely outnumbered them, or they were foolhardy enough to severely underestimate you. Regardless, you tighten your grip on the haft of your ji, and raise it.
"Azure Lances, with me! CHARGE! CHAAAAARGE!"
A horn blows from somewhere behind you in response to your order, followed by another. With a yell, you encourage your warhorse to rush forwards, followed by the rest of your mounted forces. You feel your blood boiling and adrenaline surging as you race towards the approaching cavalry. A few, uncoordinated arrows come your way from the bandit archers. You instinctively duck to evade one that comes to close to you, and notice Lu Lingqi raise her shield to deflect another projectile. There are a handful of screams of men and horses behind you that you barely notice over the noise of the battle.
Seconds later, you crash into the bandit riders. The first unfortunate soul at the head of their charge meets the blade of your halberd to his chest, causing him to tumble out of his saddle. You grip your weapon with both hands and swing it to the right, knocking an enemy in the flank with the shaft of your ji. The force of the blow forces him to fall off his horse as well, and he soon trampled on by the crashing wave of your veterans. You raise your halberd to parry the axe of a burly bandit, who swings at you wildly and aggressively - until the blade of one of your veterans slashes into the back of his neck, killing him almost instantly. You briefly watch as Lu Lingqi smashes her shield into the head of one enemy without even looking at him, whilst at the same time stabbing her sword into the jugular of another. Then, she pulls back her weapon and drives it into the head of the horse of a third bandit, causing the animal to shriek and collapse, the rider then getting trampled under a rush of hooves. Spotting a brigand on your left, you swiftly ram the butt of your halberd into his face - and hear the crunch of a broken nose as he reels back. He has little time to endure the agony as you follow it through with a quick spin of your weapon to the side of his head. Retrieving it with a grunt, you cleave it down to your right, hacking clean through the wrist of another miserable bandit. He lets out a high pitched cry, and begins to ride away. Following your initial charge, the rest of your riders move to envelop each side of the bandit cavalry. The enemy fight on, admittedly bravely, for a few moments longer, before you hear the sound of horns from their numbers.
"WITHDRAW! PULL BACK!" You hear an armoured fellow order, presumably an officer. "PULL BACK NOW!" The irresistible force of your experienced cavalry too much for them, the bandit riders begin to rally to their lieutenants, and then flee the engagement. Some are caught by your enveloping lines of horsemen and are stuck, unable to flee, and easily cut down. The rest, perhaps less than half of their initial number, begin escaping away from the battle. You do worry, however, they may be a nuisance if they rally and return. Then again, these are not disciplined warriors like your own cavaliers, these are rogues and thieves. They are likely already willing to abandon their allies and leader and flee back to whatever crevices they first emerged from.
You catch your breath and take note of the current situation. To your left, you see that the huge mass of bandit infantry are now pressing hard against your centre. They seem to be holding firm for now but they are greatly outnumbered, even with arrow fire supporting them. With the bulk of Zuo Zizhangba's forces now committed and engaged, their left flank looks enticingly vulnerable, especially now you have won your right flank. On the other hand, you are concerned about your other flank, and whether or not Zhang Liao was able to hold off the remainder of the mounted bandits. You have no way of knowing for now. Lu Lingqi comes to a stop next to you, and looks to you unexpectedly.
What do you do next?
[] Use this momentum to smash into the exposed flank of the enemy, and try and break through to their centre
[] Chase down the fleeing enemy cavalry in case they rally, and ensure they are no longer a problem for you
[] Have Lu Lingqi lead half of your cavalry to pursue the retreating bandit riders, and lead the other half into the left flank of their infantry
[] Wheel your cavalry right around the bandit army, to attempt to strike them in the rear
[] Pull back for now and lead your horsemen right back to your other flank, in case Zhang Liao needs aid
[] Stay patient and observe the battlefield for a while longer
[] I have a better plan! Write in, 50 words or less.
If no reserve cav charge into the nearest enemy infantry because that way we engage sooner and break them sooner which in turn frees up our infantry starting in the right to curve and follow the cav into the remaining enemy.
Since it's relevant to this vote I thought I'd remind everyone of the numbers of our cavalry. We started with 300 cavalry, 35 additional elite guard units (Lingqi's and Xiang's) and 10 mounted scouts (I'm not sure whether they came with us or stayed with Yu Zhong) so if we chose to send half with Lu Lingqi to chase the fleeing enemy she'd outnumber them 2:1 (approx).

[X] Use this momentum to smash into the exposed flank of the enemy, and try and break through to their centre
-[X]Split Lingqui with her guard and the Mounted companions to ensure the bandits don´t hit our rear
Splitting our forces means we relive our infantry slower as cav chasing cav can take a while. Instead break the enemy and force them to rout and make sure we keep our people alive
Edit switching to write in vote that was brought up later
[X] Use this momentum to smash into the exposed flank of the enemy, and try and break through to their centre
Half our cavalry is double what the bandits have left on our side, so I think if someone wants to go that way maybe reduce it a little to a more reasonable amount. No moratorium so I will vote early on, because I do not want a bad bandwagon.
[X] Use this momentum to smash into the exposed flank of the enemy, and try and break through to their centre
What's this? Flank steak for dinner.
Edit: On the one hand, they should see this coming. On the other hand, they're not that bright and have cleaned their necks nicely for us. It would be a shame to decline.
