So, a few thoughts.

It seems Hanyi's issue in her breakthrough seems to have locked away her movement art. This might refer to LWM given it used leg meridians, but I doubt it considering she has LWM. As such, we should be expecting her to get a type of cold/illusion movement art from her soon. It would be interesting to see how it works, and maybe we could help her when we train SCS.

So, Watchful Moon Analysis is currently our first available "Instant buff to an attack" tech we have access to. Well, the first that is serviceable:

This is also one, but it's both melee only and its goal is to work as a lockdown.

Other such techniques we'll soon have access to (or could have access to) that fits the same place are Joyous Toast and Evening Breeze Flourish:

Joyous Toast is a bit more complicated to use as it needs IPF set up first, and as such works less well for ambushes and such. It is also more expensive. However, it is also much stronger, not only having both a better effect and working exceedingly well with Sixiang and Hanyi. They are not redundant, which means that CDE is in the nice place of having all of its technique being part of a niche that wasn't used yet (and an important hole).

Evening Breeze Flourish is much more like Watchful Moon Analysis, but its thematic seems much weaker, and I'd hazard that it has less of a potential to improve down the line, especially being the second tech. Obviously CDE is mastered in Appraisal while ENM in Foundation, but apparently CDE+ might be available in archive 2, which makes Watchful Moon Analysis potentially very useful in the future.

As for its actual effect, while there is plenty of D rank defensive tech, none of them are really the type that would be useful to ignore. Using D rank Qi and tech to ignore a D rank defense for a single attack can be currently considered a losing game given said D rank defence would usually last a long+ time, and that D rank defences don't seem to be "greatly boost defence against single attack" types. These are the types of techs we'd really want to use Watchful Moon Analysis against, and for that we'd need it to be a bit stronger:

Basically, "panic buttons" of enemies that are also low ranked and immediate.
Ling keeps getting a more and more powerful finishing move. Shame that we never seem to get a fight where she can build up. I really hope that someone will challenge her.

I find it interesting that there's a choice of what we see beyond this gate.

[X] A softly lit temple, with sparking qi barriers blocking the way toward its rear. Behind them, you can see the looming shadow of a great statue of some forgotten great spirit.

Okay, got a couple of bug fixes to report.

removed overflow on meridians, since that isn't supposed to be there. CDE got it's summon range increased to Close and one of its passives increased to bring it inline with the previously displayed CDE 2.

Thirdly, going to be adjusting the shopping system in future turns, so that it will be possible to purchase talismans with cash instead of just sect points.

Hope you restrict which talismans to offer for cash sale. Seem like it would be too much of a waste when talisman makers have a firm monopoly on anything not common knowledge or easily copied/learned.

@yrsillar would talismans for Sixiang even be possible?

Also did you see this proposal from @Arkeus on less confusing range names:
Adjacent: ~10 meters
Very Close: ~40 meters
Close: ~100 meters
Mid: ~200 meters
Far: ~400 meters
Very Far: ~600 meters
Distant: 1KM
Just make Adjacent 10m and not 5m
(and add mid)
Basically, Adjacent means a melee fighter can hit someone without paritcular effort, Very close means they have to use a full move action while attacking, close means they need to use a tech, mid means they can't actually hit us in melee and need to have mid range techs, far means dedicated range techs, very far means having a range build, and distant means having a sniper tech
Since having both 'near' and 'close' is causing problems.

I have updated the Art History post to include CDE4. Of note is that the Lung meridians of CDE are moon while the Head ones are water.

Incidentally, Ling Qi now has decent perception (B5 for combat without techs, B10 for social without techs).

I don't see us getting challenged until we challenge up.

We've already shown we can beat a dedicated duelist at our current rank, and since then we've gained 2 Green spirits that are known to the sect at large.

So I have a question are we still planning on mastering Argent Genesis later down the line? Like when we have a better vent, or are we so constrained for AP that it ain't worth considering anymore.

We are likely to train Argent Genesis turn 6, as we won't be getting Greater Argent Vent until Threshold most likely, and training it Turn 6 with Silverblood should give us 150 to Phys/Spiritual, making us getting to Bronze Foundation easier.

Most commoner born look at Argent Genesis with envy the 2-4 years they spend capped at peak yellow or even Early Green in the Outer Sect,

We found a cultivation art so good we only train AG reluctantly when it's the most effective work around from diminishing returns on other cultivation tracks.

I feel like a dick using a mention for this reminder, but for what it's worth @yrsillar , the head of the Talisman department has an entirely incorporeal spirit of the same flavor as Six.

Now the question is, is Jiao the type to delegate his anniversary presents to his subordinates? Yes

Um no? Xin is very much corporeal as shown by her having a body and being able to interact with stuff physically.

Which is still more than what Six can do given they currently lack a body and can only interact with people and items via wind manipulation.

Sure,

Honestly I'm sure that Jiao's Way even shattetered as it is enables the transformation of solid talismans into shadows so he can use them without a body.

Thinking about this is reminding me to take a look into my abandoned Omake folder for a scene I half wrote where Xin kills his Reaper to pull him out of depression following losing his Way...

Our perception becomes even more exciting when we consider techs, EPC bonus, and our domain.

With "Inquisitive Study" and our bonus from EPC it is likely we can boost our combat perception to A for a test, which then can boost any allies of rank 4 or greater who have B combat perception to A as well.

Likely to only be useful in niche cases with Meizhen (who might have B combat perception) and maybe some others who get to B perception.

Either way, there are some interesting shenanigans that can occur in fringe cases, with our perception at B rank. For instance, if Zhengui is in a heavily wooded area and his Eternal Roots give a +10 to perception then it's possible to drag Zhengui's combat perception up to B rank. We would have to get enough distance between ourselves (different scenes most likely) and then enter Zhengui's scene while he has his stuff active. It's niche, probably terribly difficult to pull off without much benefit, but I find it funny that it's possible to drag D rank perception all the way up to B rank given the right conditions.
