Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

[X] Sixiang the confidant, the friend, the fun older cousin to her other spirits. Things might not be the same, but that was the path she wanted to walk.

[X]Sixiang the companion, the friend… and perhaps something more, it would make her already tricky situation trickier, but… she felt she could try.

My biggest gripe with SixQi was the power dynamics. That's partly been resolved. There's still the issue of Six not having much of a life outside of Ling Qi, but in the few months of separation they and Ling Qi have had, they have managed to develop something fairly quickly, so I'm not worried about that.

There have been good arguments on both sides too, so I'm gonna approval vote for now. I just hope that, if it wins, people won't bring it into the Husbando wars.

Of course I'll vote for drama!

Don't forget LQ has already literally dissolved herself into Six once.
That's some advanced base right there, you need some Hui pervert charts to properly rate that!

I could honestly go either way on this one but this feels like it'll lead to a funny scene somewhere down the line.

I know I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said before, but come on, the messiness is part of the fun. We don't need to keep all our interpersonal relationships perfectly clean and sterile and safe.

(to be clear, not a direct attack on voters there, as some of that's more or less independently LQ's own choices - but this is still a good chance to break from the pattern and embrace a bit of chaos)

The no option feels kinda hilarious, ngl. Sixiang has a dramatic confession in the midst of a really intense tribulation. Ling Qi proceeds to completely ignore the implications for most of a year and then slams the door shut on even exploring it (the second option isn't a guaranteed relationship after all, just that they'll see what happens). To quote a post I saw on the discord:
The problem with option 1 is that it completely backtracks on the narrative purpose of the tribulation that (eventually) lead us here
The whole point of the dang thing was that Sixiang's deal was being sidelined and ignored and taken for granted as a character
Not actually getting into the guts of the aftermath is, like, incoherent
[...]
Like, if we say no here, then the grand total outcome from the tribulation is that Sixiang has the agency to leave the story for a bit sometimes, and be a bit mean.
Which do not meaningfully challenge Ling Qi in any way and so don't represent any kind of meaningful independence or equality or whatever
The agency to do exactly what Ling Qi wants or doesn't care about. Super.
[Communication] my ass. More like [Avoidance]. :p

I'm gonna need to let this one stir for longer because even after coming back to this, I've come to no decision that can last longer than it takes me to write it out as a vote.

I love their banter and the ease they had with each other as friends.

People are not owed romantic attraction just because they tried really, really hard. Misterming LQ not wanting a romantic relationship with someone trying to push for one as a character flaw feels pretty gross ngl.
