LQ of course immediately senses someone in dire need of liminal adventure time.
LQ: I can totally invite sovereign horrrors to it, the nightmare of the emerald seas personally hates me! Trust me it'll be great.

Only Ling Qi would tell someone she pissed of a God whose domain they are about to enter as a way of reassuring them.

Definite egg.
Renxiang, Shenhua and Qi all picked up on it, even if Renxiang needed to be up close. But if they aren't open about it it'd be impolitic to press.

[X] Ask Mu Wuye about their own blade style, its insipirations and themes.

"Touring all of the temples, giving and receiving blessings from the smaller gods of the city," Meng Dan sighed. "I suppose we will need a bit of drinking capacity for that as well."

"I think you are the last person to need to worry about that," Ling Qi said wryly.

"Oh, some of the temple liquors hit quite hard you know," Meng Dan chuckled.
"Well if THAT isn't frightening coming from you," Ling Qi said.
Thats a drink that'd isekai someone.

My bet on GG being to one to fall to it.
Qi's handled a Dreaming rave before
TBF Kang got pushed WAY out of any expectations for his 'mission'. It went FUBAR almost immediately and ended being far more volatile a powder keg than he expected.
We got OOC clarification that he read too much into the mission.

He was supposed to inconvenience and socially isolate her.
Not provoke blood feuds.

Probably exposed to too much high courtier facades as a kid

We should setup an introduction for him with Wang Chao. The latter's aligned pretty strongly with us, and it'd mean Wuye and Liang He can talk swords together.

Ling Qi bowed as low as she could, hands sweeping back to clasp in front of her chest. "My deepest apologies, Sir Mu. I shall show more temperance in the future."

Xia Lin dropped a hand on her shoulder bowed as well. "Yes, Sir Mu , please forgive this nosy woman."
Xia Lin playfully digging into LQ at every opportunity is peak.

"The needs of the Mu clan must come before my own," Mu Wuye said, affecting a small shrug. "And my uncle believes I require a time of sharpening and refinement, out from under his eyes. I trust my instructors judgement. I judge he may have known my Exalted Grandmother's plans… there is conflict a plenty in the south."
CRX: Ah, I have a perfect solution. Ling Qi, how is your adventure calendar looking?

Mu Wuye seems on the level so far. A bit guarded but that's expected since they're far away from home, without any friends, surrounded by strangers. I wonder if part of being send south involves getting away from everyone's expectations. Most everyone in south of ES isn't going to be aware of any deep or open secrets of the Imperial Court, so it's an opportunity for a fresh start.

Also, just wanna say that Natalie Naudus narrating Uncle Bones and Ling Qi's meeting is sooo good. She's great!

I gotta say I love how Ling Qi clocks the egg and immediately switches internal pronouns to they/them. It's the minor things really.

If LQ's friends from both sides of blood fall and canon ever met, canon LQ would point at black snake LQ while turning to her friends and say "This! This is why I get so hung up about Romance. This is what it can do to a person!"
