Hearken unto Grandmistress Ling Biyu, she who shapes landscapes with the flick of a brush, bringer of art and architecture fit for the gods to Little Xiangmen in the Wall!

People are going about how this is ambition and being more responsible than wanderlust.

The truth is that this is the path for Little Sis to become a Mountaineer! Wandering the lands to find the tallest mountain/tree/building/island and climb it. All to steal the moon from her Big Sister's hand.

Biyu sending a selfie from the world's tallest mountain.
"I told you 🌳👍 wasn't that big"

Weirdest vote I've seen so far, with just how the consequences of either options are being extrapulated so far that they just seem completely nonsensical.

I shall now be adding to this nonsense.

[ ] Tsu's great palace, built around a single great branch, living wood and stone and glass, green and serene… (Gives Biyu a dream of the highest places and the striving to reach them)

[ ] Endless glittering lights, like droplets of dew on a spiderweb, catching the morning sun, stretching out too far for the eye to see, a constellation here on the earth to match the sky(Gives Biyu a dream of wanderlust, of traveling far and wide)

Looking at how each options might affect Biyu's development for the next few years.

The first option might give her more focus to what she's already doing. Like focusing more during painting lessons. Striving to better paint the highest places that she's seen.

The other option might be more about exploring what other hobbies she might want to try. She would be looking at her options far and wide.
This is kind of the opposite of Qi, in that Qi could only learn the flute because she only had the flute. But Biyu can learn anything she wants.

The vibes just seem better for this option. The first one just seems too serious, Biyu is still a child, let her explore and learn as many different things, she can pick what to focus on when she's older.

Honestly, with how we're at the frontier, I could see Wanderlust leading Biyu to expand the Ling clan's holdings since she'll travel around and find new holdings in he wilderness/solve problems.

Plus, there is this idea that wanderlust won't lead Biyu to the too, which is very weird? You need a high cultivation to explore certain parts of the world and truly travel. Look at the King of Explorers. He was at least Violet. Look at Xuan Shi. He's a prodigious ducal talent (he's literally at the same tier as us currently).

A Way of Wanderlust doesn't constrain Biyu's cultivation at all. IMO, it makes it better because again, you need a purpose to want to get to the top. You can't get there for getting there sake.

the Southern Ice Tribes still counts as a wandering destination

Purely because some arguments for the other option don't make sense to me.

I feel like neither of these options could exclude the other. Biyu is an energetic, Wind-aligned girl who dreams of being a fairy like her sister either way we go. Both of these dreams are within her, we just choose which one to encourage right now.

Ling Qi is doing all of this so that her family can be happy, but that doesn't mean she wants to do it all herself. She desperately wishes her loved ones to grow with her, to not leave them behind, which the highest places is antonymous to. But the highest places could also mean a greater focus on the equivalent to Ling Qi's diplomacy rather than simple advancement. That's really how I see this, neither means Biyu would be less ambitious in cultivation. Both are about discovering other places but one is closer to the wilds and the other civilization, one the joy of exploration and the other of meeting new people. Both are useful and carry their weight, both are happy seeing the world, both bring her closer to her Way. It's really just about which we want to see more of.

If LQ runs for the top, let Biyu wander wide to bring back whatever she finds interesting.
