[x] Allow Hanyi to do as she has said. (Risks of future changes to winter ecosystem, ???)

Time to blow up another ice lady.

[X] Allow Hanyi to do as she has said. (Risks of future changes to winter ecosystem, ???)

Obvious answer. Would anyone want to say no to our little mafia princess?

I get the feeling that repeated exposure to each other will affect and change both Hanyi and the Abandonment Mother.

I hope Hanyi doesn't become gloomy after spending time under the other's influence. Abandonment spirit IS a of a higher cultivation level, which means it will impart and teach more than it will learn. we better get Hanyi to become stronger than her quickly, so e can guarantee their interactions are safer for our little snow gremlin princess.

At the same time, Hanyi is far more human and flexible, and we just saw how vulnerable inhumanity can make a spirit to being changed through mundane interaction and lessons.

The closest mundane equivalent I can think of to this is a young teen volunteering to keep seniors company in hospice care. The goal isn't to save her or fix her, it's to be there with her, knowing she's likely going to die.

The rather large difference of course is that Hanyi would be what kills her, but at the same time she and Ling Qi have believed that the destruction of the current manifestation of a spirit like this to make room for growth can be good or at least bittersweet ever since Zeqing died. The whole thing is Hanyi following our ideas about renewal.

A crack sounded in the cavern, a groan of strained stone and the squeal of stressed metal. The ink-like shadows of the cavern were pierced by a ray of molten gold.

"I. Am. Not. Hollow."

YUUUUUSSSSS! The Boy SPEAKS.

Bao Qian looked strained, his face ruddy and red, ice formed in his hair, the skin of his hands split open, fingertips black with frost under the metallic gleam of his rings. He had never let go of Hanyi's hand.

1- I wonder how that beard is coming along. It's a few weeks since we first saw it. Possibly not fully filled in yet. Long enough to get frosty?

2- He kept her hand! 🥹

As if I have not been told in more words that I'm not a silly, sentimental fool that the clan can afford to offload as an asset, because I've not the right mindset for 'real' business? Good work you wretch, you've broken my 'face', now what, think I'll give up and weep like a lonely child? I'll bring this hole down on us both first! The price of a Bao's life is more than you will afford." Bao Qian said angrily, each word punctuated by a pulse of gold and grey, the rock thrummed under his feet, and the gemstones woven through the fabric of his clothes, set in his belt and his rings, flashed and flared in a show of lights.

Oh he ANGY. He RUMBLE.
So that's what it takes to crack that nut. Where's all that sentimentality the rest of the time?? GIMME. GIB.

"...Ugh, this is stupid. Its like all of Momma's sisters are miserable," Hanyi muttered.

Oh Hanyi, never excise this part of you! 💙

I found this awesome pic, I hope Snowblossom does look like this in the future.
