Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Hey @yrsillar , given this
might come up in the next few turns, just thought I would remind you of this...
"Thank you for taking the time, and well…" How did one say 'thank you for not taking my treasure?'

"It was no trouble," Meizhen dismissed. "Once it is mastered. I would like you to share your observations and insights on Sable Crescent Step though. I feel it would be beneficial to my own arts."

"Oh? Um…. sure," Ling Qi responded with surprise.

Seems like it would be a great excuse for a social action, or just a cool little scene for the mastery itself.

Edit: *Looks at SCS keywords* *Notes this was Pre-LakeGate*

Oh, she was asking us for a dance. [/s?]

And Yrsillar already agreed that dreamscape exploration and spying was possible. Which brings me to my next point

Think "Skald", bard and lorekeeper in one. Music as a medium for memory and cultural legends.
Eventually leading to stuff like Dnd Bardic Knowledge.

I can also see it as the counterpoint to what Six showed of muses: dipping into the Dream to enrich the Real through the avenue of music.

As far as domains go:
-"Home" providing us a way back so we don't get lost in the Dream
-Argent Mirror providing a greater discernment but also the ability to hold a mirror up to others and make them see themselves through our music

Well, if we dabble around with the keyword 'Memory' in ENM enough so that it doesn't affect our Home Domain as much, maybe I'd be convinced

Speaking of Dream, I recall some parts of Elder Jiao's training involves putting us into a dreamscape. Man if Dreaming/Secret Moon combo involves dreamscape exploration and spying, what does Grinning do when add to the mix? (Even though Grinning is already involved with spying) Dreaming involves making music, arts, and stuff while Grinning involves stealing. Ling Qi's gonna get hit with so many copyright if they have one.

Nice. Pretty happy with that.
Not 100% on LQs spin on things, but quite workable indeed. Audible Six promises to be...interesting too.

With our relationship beginning to resemble Jiao's my plan to get every clan member married to a dream fairy progresses nicely we could have a nice conversation with our elders!
Gotta keep up that relationship.

We can fix this.
We have the technology.

As soon as six masters visual wind control they can have all the abs one could want.
You too can have your dreams made real.

Six gave wood bonuses before and do not anymore.
TRF is still on 5AP to finish, so it doesn't change anything there.

If we trained IMH after getting Green Foundation then it could have potentially enabled it to be mastered in 4AP, but going high pills or something can also do that, as could Zhengui's bonuses increasing.

Overall, not a big deal.

Looking back, going to the moon site instead of argent vent might have given us a possible moon elemental multi, but on the other hand i don't think we would have been able to sleep for 6h there, so probably no Dance&Art rank up. So overall I am not really sad Six lost the wood, dark and water elements in favor of Wind.
Yes, the wind multi is effectively a "missed bonus", but I doubt Six would have been able to talk if we had picked an other element.

Hmmmm.

I wonder, if we take Dance to a skill split, what are the chances we can use Sable Grace for that as well and jump a tier...

Wonder how hard it would be to time a Dance split with the SCS mastery? Silly idea, puts the art mastery of one of our most potent tools off way too long for a weird gamble.

I know that. But what are the difference in their uses?
I mean Sable Grace doesn't seem to do anything different from scs

Sable Grace is the skill name of our dodge when we use/have equipped SCS. It's not an art.

Edit: It's special kind of dodge, available to us because we got SCS.

I believe it works like this

Where Ling Qi supplemented her movement with minor boosts of flight, Liao Zhu simply seemed to blur from one outcropping or scraggly tree to the next. Ling Qi could have done the same she supposed, but doing so would have required that she use an actual art, where she sensed no such thing from him.

We don't even need to use/have equipped SCS as far as we know, I think. Sable Grace is basically a stronger type of dodge that's darkness-themed. Given how SCS itself is all about mastering darkness, it also sort of look like the weaker form of SCS, simply because it is learned through mastery of SCS.

However, SCS's techs are much more potent: it gives us greatly increased speed and immeteriality for long duration (not just dodging), immunity to falling damage, ability to become shadows and be opponent's shadows, it gives damage reduction, and it gives perfect dodge + teleport 200m away. Beyond that, it also greatly increase offence, not just defence.
