Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
[X] Take point yourself soaring up to meet in in the sky. Trapping its attentions in your mist and illusions, give Gan Guangli the time to set up his technique. (50% success. Beast captured or slain depending on degree of success. Higher risk of damage. More intelligence on similar creatures)

[X] Allow Gan Guangli to play the bait, while you play the deadly wraith, trapping and killing it once it engages him. (70% success. Beast slain, low risks of collateral damage. Less intelligence on similar creatures.)

I say go for it, its a bit rude, but the upsides are worth a 1 in 5 extra chance of failure I think.

For some reason this feels to me like a losing role and I'm kinda into the idea of what would happen after, in that case.

Ive pondered over this choice for quite awhile. GG's Earth based capture technique has a serious risk of damaging either the dam or the prison. However, the slim chance to establish a link between the Star children and the White Sky demons would be the holy grail for our diplomatic endeavors. Regardless of the vote outcome, I just hope for an above average roll!

I support minimizing collateral damage. However its important for people to realize that these votes have long term consequences that run much longer than one would reasonably expect.

The fact that LQ still doesn't know her household servants' names? That's because we chose to visit Zeqing rather than them one time.

Similarly we are only introducing Su Ling to the sparring club now.

If we don't get the info here, we probably won't be getting it for a very long time.

True, unless learning about them becomes actually critical, in which case it will come up again.
And on the flipside, causing collateral damage may also have long term consequences.

Unless we really botch the roll, it should still be less damage than they were already anticipating.

overconfidence in front of star-presence seems like a fools cocktail.

Not gonna get a better chance than an actual sun moon combo against a star.

True. The thread, myself included, is typically eager to undertake personal high-risk high-reward situations. When the consequences are suffered by others instead of just Ling Qi, the response is more cautious.
This trend seems to reach it's peak when dealing with possible fief consequences. People really like our fief.

Isn't the majority of the risk that whatever we're about to fight causes about the same amount of damage as the rest of the times it has terrorized the court? Ling Qi and Gan Guangli succeeding simply minimizes the damage. The court isn't going to be pissed that we don't succeed because they're expecting the damage anyway.

Pretty much yeah. We'd have to botch pretty hard to do worse, and the beavers aren't expecting help at all.
