Yah, but a cliff is not an ecosystem like all the other options. Unless these caves are enormous, not impossible in Xianxia land, then building in them is going to be a pain in the neck. Much better to just build at the mouth of the cave so there is actual space to work with. Besides building at the mouth of a cave next to a river is just prettier then building inside the cave.

Like, the basics of what we're suited to are the same. If you do a survey of the area, then the places you'd be thinking about putting LQ would include:
- Places where we want to grow stuff (bc Zhengui)
- Spiritual places so she can manage spiritplomacy in the valley (the ministry of spiritual affairs is horrified)
- Places with springs (both spiritual, and because I want hot springs
)

Likely yeah. Especially since people kinda have overhyped the winner so much I feel like that no matter what happens they are going to feel disappointed, so the threshold for going 'wrong' will be rather low. Even if we get absolutely no say in where our fief will go in the region, and CRX chooses for us, we'd probably still be put somewhere with as much fertile land and safety as Renxiang can afford to give us. Mostly because, out of all of CRX's posse that I'm aware of, Ling Qi is the person most suited towards making a breadbasket fief for the region, what with Zhengui, Yu Nuan and her farming/herding knowledge (She'll come over eventually, or right away if we pay her debts), and our abilities to placate and charm spirits.

-We have a Liminal Carver formationcraft trait. This specializes in "doorways, threshholds and borders".
A rivers and caves environment is basically nothing but overlapping boundaries. Where one cave ends and another cave starts. Where river ends and land begins, and where rivers can shift due to changing pressures in a cave system. Where mist blurs boundaries and sets a new one.
We got some new and exciting places to practice our specialty on.
-Zhengui isn't just Wood growth but also the lava of the earth, I wonder if any caves have volcanism, that sounds like its up the alley of some of the exotic sites.
-Rivers with caves tend to be either headwaters or Karst(limestone, easily eroded), given that we're in the mountains, probably looking at headwaters coming out of mountain springs, since Karst is poor agriculture/minerals. There's some nifty water management things we can do for settling in those parts, though I expect the origin points to be part of the danger rating, the spirit of the spring that supplies origin of a river flow is no measley thing!

Maybe part of that danger is an active volcano.
Same here but all quests. I get too invested and then there's one or two big votes that just seem insane to me. I miss the days I read this story on Royalroad and lived in blissful ignorance of votes at all 😂.
It wasn't until the chapter where she joined Cai I said "Huhhhhh?!??!? She not even 18 and she signed her life away????" and then after some digging the curtain was drawn back...
But everyone is friendly and there's some insane quality omakes (casual professional authors on here or something??) so it's still worth imo. Also the memes!
I'm guessing though at one point or another everyone has a Big Vote they "lose" and thinks the thread is insane. Ah the perils of democracy.
