Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
A great wail went up, hatred, fury and pain. The fallen titans limb spasmed and its toxic ichor spilled across the land, rotting and corroding the earth. It twitched, it jerked, it shrunk. And it became a man, his fine robes soiled by blood. His painted flesh scoured by light. His clouded eyes opened, and looked for the first time, up at those he had seen only beneath him.

One of the nine lords of heaven, the liar kings, lay in the mud, stripped of all of his glamours, bereft of his false truths, at the boots of his victims, his power broken.
Very cool, so the giant spider wasn't just the patriarch but 9 prisms. Wow it makes sense how they were able to trap Shenhua before she got a waifu power up. The gay was so powerful even the tree took notice wow. The shadow of Xiangmen shorts were amazing thanks Yrs!

Am I reading this right, does this mean that Cai Shenhua and Diao Linqin are a Xiangmen approved ship?

Awesome to find this side story was a romance all along and what a love story it was. Shining hero faltered in the face of her foes' plots and machinations before her love swept in and their combined power inspired the united revolution against oppression. No wonder Linqin was so absolutely accepted and acknowledged as Shenhua's consort. Their love story's the story of province's freedom.

They could not look upon it. The Ideal, the radiance, was not something for the hearts and minds of humans could withstand. It was not something which could be reached and held, but only fought for and sought.

But it burned in the hearts of each one all the same now, a spark born of the second sun in the sky, leaving no shadows under Xiangmen. For one day at least, the Ideal burned in every heart, and even the most primal of terrors held no purchase.

The net of spiritual filth burned away in a light no longer colorless, and it its core were two in embrace.
I know we joked about Shensua being the real protagonist, but this confirms it :V

Are we at, or after the happy ending, where the story tellers stop, because if they continued she would turn into a villain?

We're in the playable epilogue where she explains how she's eventually moving to a new phase as Grand Rival of Current Society, and then after [add date here] of time later theres another story where she is the villain.

While I am enjoying this narrative storytelling, there is a part of me that regrets the QM's decision to make the Hui as one-dimensionally evil as they are.

I find the idea of powerful cultivator dynasty focused on imagination, fantasy and dreams fascinating in potential.

One more focused on that and less on intrigue hell would, presumably, not end up as bad as the Hui. Like how theres been bits of reference to weilu dream stuff.

*Slowly turns to look at Renxiang, notices Limings hateful, enraged eyes looking back*
I mean, yeah? That seems accurate, with [add date here] being in half an hour or so.

A wind whirling with petals of red and pink and white, rose as well. It flowed between the ichorous strands which entrapped the Ideal, flickering between where rays of colorless radiance flickered.

The wind died, the light faded.

Then it burned again. O how it burned.

Pink and gold, white and orange a hundred hundred colors washed out, shining through the web. And it did not just shine down. Where men and women fought, it shown, where friends died at the feet of friends it shone, where warriors raged it shone, where tears filled eyes it shone.

...

Pink, gold, white and orange?

Where have I seen those colours before...

Wikipedia on Lesbian Flag said:
The "orange-pink" lesbian flag, modeled after the seven-band pink flag, was introduced on Tumblr by blogger Emily Gwen in 2018.[16][17] The colors include dark orange for "gender non-conformity", orange for "independence", light orange for "community", white for "unique relationships to womanhood", pink for "serenity and peace", dusty pink for "love and sex", and dark rose for "femininity".[17] A five-stripes version was soon derived from the 2018 colors.[18]

Cai Shenhua & Diao Linqin literally blasting people with Lesbian pride lasers.

Oh man I just realized Shenhua brought Tienli because she knew she was gonna broadcast her origin and put a big fat target on her babby head.

Well, bigger already for a baby of a ruling duchess.

Pre-announcement: Questions on if there was a threat to Tienli big enough to keep them nearby.
Post-announcement: Questions on if there was a chance there was a threat that could be bigger than her moms.

God damn it's literally the power of love. Dumbledore was right all along. I feel like yrs took all the salt about Ling Qi being straight and went "Here is the gay protagonist you all wanted." Truly a man of the people.

The hui's leaders are one dimensionally evil. The empire's casting of every hui as one dimensionally evil is being explored in story as it causes friction.

I imagine that the first generation of Hui dukes were a lot less inherently shitty; they were probably more trickster heroes than liars.

You know you are in a massive battle when groups of 6th realms are only spoken off as side notes ^^ everything below was just cannon fodder, so the big ones could duke it out. Imperial military strategy is kinda shitty.

The One Behind, The Stranger, The Whispering Dark, The Plagued Man, The Emptiness, and a hundred others beside, named and unnamed came forth, and the advancing lines of battle became chaos.

Hm would love to learn more about those, maybe our dream/nightmare adventure with the Danger tag of "Dreamwalking 10" gives us some lore about those. Not that I want to poke something that gets the same recognition as 6th realms, but lore would be cool.

The Light had stalled, it struggled, it fought, but in the face of the once-nine, and the old powers of Xiangmen, it could not advance.

Now we know what it takes to stop a white. Yea the Big Tree made that fight closer than it had any right to be.

With these past few updates, I'm really happy about the commission I made 3 months ago.

the tattered and dying marsh Mist shone

The Meng Patriarch fighting until the end for a better future even if his clan was not with him.

Defenses older than the Empire thrummed thoughtfully, and shut down.

Big tree is best tree, so happy we get to see it in person soonTM.

Now the only thing Xiangmen needs is a Celestial Dragon equivalent and it too can equal the Imperial Throne.

On the other hand, with how the Imperials are antagonizing all the clans with Ancestral Beasts all at the same time, Xiangmen has a zone defense of multiple Ancestral Beasts who may or may not take umbrage at any overtly hostile Imperial actions.

So, Xiangmen is the emerald sea equivalent to grandmother serpent, or the wandering isle. The actual ancestor spirit of the province; the weilu and the horned Lords are a red herring.

You know...I think Xiangmen had a Mason's War flashback.
If the Great Tree did not intervene, Truth and Instinct would be battling at a stalemate and then STUCK there in a deadlock until all rotted.

Xiangmen already saw that shit once and wanted no part of it.
