This. This is the attitude I'm worried about. Yes, CRX will easily break out from the dream if she realizes it's a dream, but so will Xia Lin - she would refuse to stay in an imaginary world and stagnate in real life - and Gan Guangli is driven enough I'm confident the same would be true for him. (Meng Dan might be tempted to stay, I can't say for certain.)
The hard part in every case will be convincing them that their dream is a dream. CRX's small number of closely related desires means her dream will be more coherent and resilient than anyone else's, and it will be harder to give her that "this doesn't make sense" moment that will snap her out of it.
But we have no reason to assume this?
The discussion with the Yukionna had that comment be made in a "She was tougher than the others to lead astray", i.e having less desires made it trickier for the spirit. Yes there is less to work with and so efforts must be concentrated on those small things, but there is also
less to work with. CRX has consistently been a character that it is hard to decieve, tempt, or otherwise suborn and that resistance should carry forward.
However, any given person's resistance to the spirit's wiles is a secondary concern. Because what we're doing here is going to primarily involve the relationship between Ling Qi and whoever we pick, Ling Qi's Domain, and her skills at speaking. And in this group of people, CRX is the one Ling Qi knows best and is most connected with.
We've spent the past 11 months working with her actively, and have had character development through all of that.
I could probably go on and list a dozen odd reasons for why CRX is the best, but I don't think I need to.
E: I think one of the obvious consequences of picking it is getting
bitch slapped by Liming at some point during the ordeal, but honestly that is not a deal breaker to me.
