It does not. The whole point of Sect is to network, and we're offering a potentially useful contact to him that he may become friends with. (Obviously, this is a useful contact for Li Suyin too.) I think it's in fact dismissive of Xuan Shi and his character to assume that he's so lonely he'll latch onto any opposite gender as a potential romantic partner and see it that way.

Even beyond that, we should remember that the most important result of ranking up in the Sect is pleasing Shenua. Going to her first with information that actually mattered instead of giving it to the Sect shows Ling Qi actually has her loyalties in the right place, regardless of any other difficulties it caused.

His, not her. The respectful thing to do is to treat transgender people as their preferred gender and use the pronouns they prefer. And in this case, Lin Hai is unambiguously a him, no matter his history.
I'm pretty sure if we do well on this contact mission and anything similar we get sent on, whether or not we meet the original challenge's Sect Rank requirement is unlikely to matter.
... We might get diverted into some equivalent reward rather than the specifics of the original offer, but I can't see Shenhua passing up someone useful because of a technicality.
I feel that we're already too deep in favor debt to be asking Xuan Shi for more help without trying to do something for him first.

I think I don't want to load Xuan Shi with more favors at the moment. This is also an opportunity to assess him and see if he's doing okay. With Ling Qi and Sixiang in the same room its possible for them to make a solid assessment. And I also like the idea of coming back around to the sort of scene that was uncomfortable and having it be comfortable and have him be helpful as a better contrast to the initial scene.

we gonna speak with him at our house anyway, its just about if we just talk to him and basically be "yooo you need to speak to more people" or we help him networking with somebody who actually has comon interests(formations) and I like the 2nd option more in this case, since he really needs more friends.

Not everyone is Shenhua. Sun patriarch managed to cause no harm whatsoever to anyone when not in war form. And after seeing the effect a White has on a holographic projection, I do not buy that this is because he was using the clone technique. Our domain is very much optimized against friendly fire too, so...
I think she has started to produce value. Of course, it depends on how the dealing will go.
Lin Hai continues being the best. If he was a peer, I'd have no doubt about whom I would romance, but right now he is mentor adjacent, so its squicky .

But this is the one that owes him another favor? The other one is favor neutral: we introduce him to someone (doing him a favor) and then we ask for advice (him doing us a favor).
It's not about consistently outputting power. It's that we will eventually be around people when we are agitated and Cyan will have that agitation potentially injure mortals. We've already broken teacups with our domain, for instance.

I feel that you have selected the wrong option in that case. Unless we just try and get the info out of him via small talk he will be doing us a favor either way. With the second option, we are 'paying off the interest' as it were, with the intro to Suyin. The first option really just puts us deeper into his debt.

So, the Sect is really going to be pushing hard for Li Suyin to stay. And that makes total sense. There was just an announcement that the Duchess was extracting tribute from the Underground People, the Shishigui are at war with the Sect, and here is a cultivator who specializes in the materials from the underground and is not attached to any noble house and who wants to help the sect and completed Elder Jiao's work in the underground.
While Li Suyin's achievements certainly warrant merit, I have to think that the Sect is also taking into consideration just how valuable it would be to have a cultivator with Li Suyin's specialty onboard with the sect when the Underground People's tribute starts flowing around. Having someone in the sect that can work with the stuff, has worked with the stuff, and can create powerful tools from the stuff is a huge boon, especially since Li Suyin is only green and promises to develop even further.
It will be really fun to see just how Li Suyin develops with the resources available to her in the Inner 500. And, when we head out into the wild blue yonder, it'll be really cool to have a connection as solid as Li Suyin around the Argent Sect.
Suyin has similar problems with Xuan Shi in terms of "I'm not good enough for your attention/I'm not worth it".
...you know, this is probably going to go great for both of them.
I reckon Ling Qi could put her Manipulation score to some good uses here.

It is not. Unless you mean (potential) friendship making.
Also, it is not a shipping vote regardless of Suyin having Du Feng pining after her or not. The two ideas literally have no relation to each other. It wouldn't be a shipping vote even if Li Suyin didn't have someone pining after her.
