Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
She had a great uncle who had never married. She had never met him, since he was both a clan Elder and only rarely emerged from the labyrinth of tunnels, gears, steam and clockwork that he made his home.
The best part of being a high-realm production cultivator is nobody, including your boss, actually understands what you do.

Meizhan: "Why are the girls I'm attracted to always so dense?"
I imagine it makes her feel safer, to an extent. The Bai are fiercely competitive, and with her mother's execution, she'd have been an "acceptable" target for her cousins. I'm sure many of them were more socially gifted than her, and used that as a weapon. She's making herself vulnerable when she admits her interest in peers like Ling Qi or Bao Quingling, and knowing she has more social skill/emotional intelligence might make that feel less frightening, which makes it easier to admit to herself that she's attracted to them.

I hope it dont raise a death flag
Love in war times is
100% death for non-MC's

If we are ever on a war front with either of these two, we must do everything we can to save their lives. I mean, I assume we'll automatically do that for Meizhen anyway, but this relationship upgrade means that Qingling is now equally important for protection purposes.

Both may be stronger than us right now, but we're not so weak we can't help turn the tide of battle for them either.

She still did not know what the Bai wanted from her, but she had given up on investigating the matter.
"Can we be friends pls?"
"She is truely inscrutible."
Despite herself, Bao Qingling felt a thread of satisfaction. Bai Meizhen, it seemed, shared her irritation with such nonsense.
Literally 180 degrees in the wrong direction.
Could not be more wrong.
"Hmph, if one of them was like you, perhaps it would not be so bad."

The sound of her own heartbeat was loud in Bai Meizhen's ears.
Wow.
TBF these two are less disaster lesbians than I expected, I was expecting Mezing to fail to explain to Bao after this.. Then again turning this into a game of chicken is hardly the most romantic way to become a couple.
Her voice sounded so horribly awkward that she half wished to fall into her own shadow and disappear.
Ling Qi probably knew a technique for that.

Meizhen has learned that some people cannot read any subtle hints from Ling Qi.
Meizhen has learned that some people will give you all the formulaic responses without actually being romantically interested from Renxiang.

Someone has to take the initiative because her type is a gravitational anomaly!

I mean it's not true Random as there is an inherent bias towards Talent 3-4 per Yrs, I refer more that it is Random as in taking little to no input from external sources save the known exception that is Spirit-Blood. Having an average talent will mean that the more kids and grandkids the greater parity your clan will have with the Talent distribution curve. I was more doubling down on commenting that you can't eugenics your way into a general increase in Talent distribution without introducing spirit blood of some kind, only increase your chances of matching the curve.
Welcome to Forge/Threads of Destiny! Where eugenics only work if you're a furry! :V :Ü™

I actually gotta applaud Meizhen for what I think is the opposite of indiscretion; she handled that encounter pretty gracefully, I think.
i think her experience with Ling Qi is what allowed her to take that last step to actually talking about it. I don't think "early forge of destiny" Meizhen would have ever dared/allowed herself to talk plainly like this.

Now the main question is how can we make Ling Qi supportive? Do we give them space? do we offer a wedding present?
