[X] Plan: Whispering on the Wind

Definitely want to see what art-modding looks like. The weird spiritual-philosophical bits of this quest are by far my favorites.

Really? Why? Aside from a little bit of personal freedom, Sun Shao has no reason to want Liling to go back to the seck.

Heck, I'd even say that Sun Shao has a greater need to mold Liling to his Ideal Successor before whatever deal was struck bites him in the bony ass
Ji Rong talked about this before he challenged us for the duel. Sun is only going to be gone for a couple months otherwise she would have been withdrawn instead of stating she would be back by the years end. I'm just saying what was said in the story. That might change, but I don't see a reason Grandpa Sun would want Liling to have an even worse rep.

Well, Liling didnt really know what Gramps was planning, so its perfectly reasonable for her to want to go back. But the question is if Gramps will allow her to go back.

He just might, just to salve a bit of the lost good will.

Gramps knew what gramps was planning, and if he was going to withdraw her from the sect it would seemingly make more sense to just... do that, instead of saying she was going to be gone for a couple months and then going "actually, withdrawing her."

Hmmmm personally I dont think shes coming back for intersect tourney, having her and ji rong on our team would prob be a little overkill with our current roster .

Or if she is shes not competing, might send ji rong to compete. Idk

Yrs will do what's best

I also don't know if she will be at the sect for the intersect tourney but she did say she would be here for the end of year tourney. What happens after this year in the inner sect, I don't know.

I thought the tournament at the end of the year was the intersect tournament?
There are two tournaments. The tournament for Argent sect to promote to the inner sect is at the end of the year. That's the one Sun said she would be back by.

The other tournament is between the sects of the Emerald Seas. That one is on month 18 I think. That is the one Cai has to win with a team from the Argent Sect.

Couple of things now only occurring to me but...are we sure Sun Shao actually won at all?
Sun Shao is never seen outside his province except as clones.
Sun Shao achieved a lightning fast leap in cultivation after invading the jungle.
We found the Bai retaliation team dead and apparently bound into a hecatoncheries of Sun Shao's body.
We have it suggested that the Goddess wasn't exactly friendly with the locals previously either, she predated upon them as much as aided them.
Most of Sun Shao's initial army died, but the rest are all Greens.
His army somehow maintains a replacement rate, in contravention of everything we know about Talent, though not entirely improbably if their resources were abundant.
Is he a White or a sockpuppet of a transwhite entity?

Did Sun Shao get eaten by the Sunflower, managed to hold enough of a self together to impress/bargain with the Goddess, and then used THAT as a living lure to bait in the Bai and eat them too?

I doubt it.

For one, there is no imagery in his Bone Titan to suggest it.

And on the 2nd point, I sincerely doubt Sun Shao would be able to hide that fact in front of Shenhua.

He's probably allowing himself to be subsumed for the deal though. I would assume a White is a juicy meal (he IS white right? Not actually sure).

He is white, I think he's allowing his family to stand in for the Sunflower goddess' family which allows her to consume/parasitize them therefore allowing her to expand her domain more easily.

Yikes. I am simultaneously full of intense curiosity about what Sun Liling will be like after this, and bone-deep certainty that I don't want to know.
Well imaginate Liling we know, then imaginate her as Cai Shenhua's daughter, if Shenhua ruled at West, combine both Lilings in one person. Keep this picture in your mind. Then add jungles at night as background picture, than add Jumanji Drums as background music... Perfect.🌻

That update just felt delightfully horrifying.
Poor Liling, though. Hope she comes out of it at least somewhat okay.

Somehow this still doesn't change the fact that, whenever someone brings up that LQ could have mitigated or avoided things on the Sun route, I cannot actually see myself voting for anything other than mainlining the Sunflower Koolaid and mashing the shit out of the Dharitri SL, so it's probably good that I don't get to decide things on my lonesome.

Don't worry, you are not alone!

Wohooo Dharitiri/Xulian OTP.

I'm pretty sure Dharitri and Hanyi would get along quite well.

... Dharitri could also fit the Apocryha harem Zhengui was building up.

Sunflower goddess influenced Ling Qi is a pretty neat alternate to ponder up in our free time but we don't exactly have enough information about it to do so.
