Ty. Yeah modding arts is new. I like new.Rainbows and Glitter does an exploration (rolling the gacha to see if we get something interesting), Whispering Wind uses that AP to modify Harmony of Dancing Wind so that we have some experience modding arts (in this case, a low-stakes art we don't super care about and which we only use one tech from) before we want to do it for real on arts we actually do care about, or before we make our own successor arts (which, logically, seems like something that builds from the same principles that allow you to mod arts).
There's no reason to believe she would actually want to come, based on what she has said of past excursions w us. We'd basically be dragging her to adventure lol.[X] Plan: Rainbows and Glitter
Hope we can bring Fox friend exploring with us!
Not sure but u may have to delete the old post.Ty. Yeah modding arts is new. I like new.
[X] Plan: Whispering on the Wind
No. The system only counts ur most recent vote.
Theres is the whole "my childhood friend is evil mind controlled by the villain! I must grow strong to rescue her!" protag.Well, she does have a Xianxia protagonist with her. Maybe things will turn out all right for her. Probably not, though.

Sun Shao makes the same mistake Liling made that building up your civ and not just being a warlord is weakness."The Empress Xiang prefers to play with her building projects," Sun Shao said bitterly. "She leaves the greater works of her father to rot while building her walls ever higher, lavishing attention on mortals and artisans. Some days I suspect that woman is sick of the empire in its entirety."
Well, he's building up his Civ as well, see the ten cities and four failures on the Wester Territories map. Problem is, he thinks in terms of martial build-up to stand against existential threats, not political and social infrastructure that becomes possible and preferable when there aren't many immediate threats demanding attention.Sun Shao makes the same mistake Liling made that building up your civ and not just being a warlord is weakness.
And messing around with modding an Art we don't really care for is a better use of our time?I really don't think now is the time for exploring. We're on a tight schedule. We can see the world after it's not going to blow up on us.
By modding HDW, we turn an art with only one useful tech into an art with up to four useful techs. If we get the keyword we're hoping for, it plugs a hole in our tactical capabilities that makes us way more useful for any war events coming up. We get all of this for one AP, because the art is already mastered and we do not need to re-master it. That's the tradeoff of art modding: instead of spending a bunch of actions to cultivate a new art that has the capability you want, you take a risk and hope that you can mod one of your existing arts to do that, much more efficiently. You listed "new arts" as a potential payout for exploration: this is essentially a new art that we don't need to cultivate to benefit from. And messing around with modding an Art we don't really care for is a better use of our time?
Exploring at least has potential for a big payout in Arts/Drugs/Plothooks/Trials etc etc if we roll well

...RME doesn't have two-way communications, I have no idea what you're on about.Or we could just drop HDW. It currently reaches out to Far and RME allows communication out to Very Far range and has a strategic range scry. From a communication perspective RME is straight up superior and will likely continue to improve through successor arts.
Perception tech, scout summons tech, combat perception tech, scrying. The arts of the great diviner have spread far and wide with time, their secrets no longer held in trust. This art has been said to be a descendant of the impeccable arts of the great horned sages. With the first lessons mastered, the student is able to choose a branch of divination to develop their paths along. This art is the path of the scholar and the seeker of secrets, who casts their eyes wide and far in search of knowledge.

Inquisitive Study: D
Duration: Persistent or Upkeep 2
The user's eyes gleam briefly with a silver sheen as they study the object of their curiosity. The users perception increases greatly for up to two tests in a single scene, allowing them to discern many details that they might otherwise miss.
Seeking Moon's Eyes: C
Duration: Persistent
Conjures five reflective silver wisps the size of a coin. Expressions of the Diviner's curiosity, these wisps seek their parents interest eagerly. The wisps ignore wholly physical obstacles but cannot travel further than Very Far distance from their creator. The creator may see from the wisp's position as if they stood there themselves, though only in one direction at a time. This greatly increases their combat perception in the areas within which this sight overlaps.
Statblock
Health: G
Speed: B, Initiative: C
Avoid: B, Armor H
Watchful Moon Analysis: C
Duration: Immediate
Used in tandem with an damaging art, allows the users thoughts to far outspeed their limbs, greatly slowing their perception of the world, and allowing the user to pick out minute details that might otherwise be missed in the flows of an enemy or obstacles qi, and adjust the course of their blow. Through this the user ignores the effects of a single defensive technique of C rank or lower, or if none are active, penalizes the targets armor or avoid at the users discretion.
Initiate's Viewing Pool: B
[Non-Combat]
Requiring a surface of calm water or a mirror at least two handspans wide, the user concentrates on a familiar person or place within twelve kilometers of their current position. The user is able to view the person or location in clear detail with both sight and hearing with perception equivalent to their own base Perception. This viewing may be opposed by arts or talismans of various types, in which case the users combat perception is used to determine success. With sufficient surfaces, the use may view up to three targets with a single use of this technique. The user may attempt to look upon an unfamiliar location or person(such as one merely described or seen in passing to the user), however the user receives two ranks down on their Perception when doing this, and only receives visual information even on success. Targets are not considered familiar until seen in person.
