Didn't the Weilu divine ancestor just fuck off after getting disgusted by his decadent descendants?

I'm fairly sure that was mentioned somewhere...
Riight. I think I remember that as well.

Something like how when the Weilu were collapsing, their divine ancestpr just decided to not do anything and I think they just left?

Maybe when Ling Qi Ascends, she can contact all the Living Ancestors and connect them through a Dream Group Chat or something.

A lot of what we got there was propaganda, so it's hard to know what happened. We know the Weilu ancestor disappeared and like 98% of all Weilu disappeared at the same time, their dream palaces disintegrating and so on.

We don't really know why.

So the Sun clan uses what appears to be a combination of both the Imperial system and the seperate cultivation system used by the
Red Garden and those beyond it. However, there is no indication that they used living humans in order to do so. It is far more likely that their blessing from the Sunflower goddess is giving them insight into the different system that they can use.

I think Shenhua is wary of a repeat incident that ended up leaving Renxiang damaged.
Of course being shaped by her way Shenhua can't admit mistakes or actually communicate in a manner that doesn't traumatize her daughter so she just resolves to do better with the next one.
My understanding is that she can admit that she made a mistake, she just does not have the emotional capacity/function that allows her to regret it.

I think its less "unable to regret", and more "compulsion to do it again and do it perfectly this time" which caused the push for Shenhua to do the childrearing thing again, except better this time.

Basically Shenhua has the Cultivation version of OCD.

That is... not something I recall seeing anywhere in the text, in any form.

New RR chapter has some small, but important changes. I'm not sure I like them though. What do you people think?

How can it hurt so much to lose something we gained retroactively for the explicit purpose of having it taken from us immediately?

I dunno, but it feels like in one of the Chronicles of Narnia sequels when Edward explained to one of their heirs why he didn't have a Gift.

"Ah when Father Christmas came by I was busy being a little shit so..."

I read the comments for that chapter. Oy vey...

People only just now noticing the KLK references as if Gan Flexington wasn't enough of one already, taking the Cai option was a mistake, the dress/thread is a trap, and Cai (both junior and senior) is untrustworthy.

Boy am I glad I'm not a filthy RR peasant.

Now that i think of it. Baby Cai will be a pain in the ass for a while until she and CRX get to an understanding if the KLK references continue this way, anime protagonist level pain in the ass.
