i'd argue that not having any money besides the strick minimum is hurting our protag. For example we now don't really have the money if we want to upgrade our lowest level gear or if we want to gear up or three spirits. Same for consumables or other services. The second sentence yes, the third sentence no. Both the textual depiction and out-of-universe versions of the math cabal were pretty clear about Ling Qi being able to afford this as long as it remains a one-off purchase - it's not hurting Ling Qi's future beyond the general form of picking a particular way and therefore closing future cultivation paths that applies to literally every decision from here on out.
There has been no system present for doing that with money in this thread. The marketplace, where things cost red stones, was OK when we were just a baby cultivator, but we've been commissioning stuff from good Inner Sect crafters, and soon from Core Sect. That costs Sect and Contribution points; money will not buy us new talismans.i'd argue that not having any money besides the strick minimum is hurting our protag. Yeah, and consumables like High Drugs are uh, well, basically not worth it.There has been no system present for doing that with money in this thread. Luxuries are not inherently bad for people. You may not like the particular luxury Ling Qi has spent her money on, but arguing that Ling Qi is harming herself by having spent money on one luxury rather than another is just flat out wrong.i'd argue that not having any money besides the strick minimum is hurting our protag. The special pills we buy from senior Sect pillmakers, such as what we're using this month, cannot be bought with money. We use Sect Points for it. Bungie is referring to this:
The math cabal has deemed buying higher levels of generic cultivation drugs to be not worth it, so we mostly just go with the free level (Medium Pills). In general, stuff that adds a flat amount of dice to our cultivation is rarely That Great. How much will you invest in pills and medicine this month?
Low-5 dice for 5 red stones per action
[] Medium- 10 dice for 15 red stones per action Provided freely from Cai Renxiang
[] High- 20 dice for 25 (40-15) red stones per action
[] Very High- 30 dice for 60(75-15) red stones per action
Its due to specific specialist pills as Pickle noted.
The thing that gets brought up a lot is the marginal value in AP compared to other options IIRC and it just doesn't gain us enough AP to be worth it.The math cabal has deemed buying higher levels of generic cultivation drugs to be not worth it, so we mostly just go with the free level (Medium Pills). Meizhen: "...Qi, why are you wearing a veil?""Xuan Shi, how could you!? I trusted you," the girl exclaimed, fleeing into the night. Her trailing tears evaporated into fading shadows, but the hurt of betrayal lingered in her heart.
Yeah, and consumables like High Drugs are uh, well, basically not worth it.

We know Xin ships themAlso, LQ may have to find someone else to ask for advice. A different mom, one not traumatized and with a less difficult past, might say that as long as propriety is observed, there no harm in a little flirtation.

The same thing that happens to anyone else in changing circumstances - the line for what's a luxury and what's a necessity changes. Making an expensive yet affordable purchase now does not lock Ling Qi into making an equally expensive but no longer affordable purchase later. As a general things you are correct, however Ling Qi (and the thread) over spending like this as a habit is not a good pattern to start off a new barony fief with. We're gonna be off on the border in a year or two and won't have the armies of the Sect to protect us. What then?
So does duches Cai.
