Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
The intensity of the blast looks like its designed to deal with undead or regenerators though. A little overkill otherwise.
Dude, she's from the Golden Fields, zombies have been a recurring problem there ever since her ancestor supernovaed the Twilight King. That is exactly what this is designed to fight.

Heck, with all the not zombies and poisoned qi around Xiulan probably feels right at home.

[X] Defend and Counter
I want to see Zhengui get to heal us. There has to be a couple instances of ashfall currently on the field.

OTOH, cool scars are cool ....
Depends on the person, LQ that we know has issues with herself wont take such a thing well at all. So going on how "cool" scars are is just shitty.

Frankly LQ should not get one unless Yrs pulls some arbitrary bullshit that the sect healers cant heal. But anyone voting for the option to get "cool scars" is just an idiot without empathy.

Jeez dude. I was just commenting that scars are cool. Im not even voting this round. Cool trauma makes for dramatic storytime.

[X] Defend and Counter

I am worried that if we dodge and put distance between us and him, his next target will be Xiulan. Assassin will dodge whatever he throws at her, then he will attack while we are too far to close distances.

Our domain buffed our allies right? By staying in near rabge, we should be able to make the mist of it.

If we stagger the assassin with our counter strike Xiulan can finish him off, and Zhengui can bite his ankle or something.

It is time to stand our ground and protecc our friends! This is what we came here for.

People are wanting to stay in Xiulan's line of fire in order to tank a hit while LQ's main defence is to not be there, and for what? So that we can be a glory hound?

I do hope Ling Qi gets scarred/crippled for a while from this, though.
This kind of thinking alone should be enough for people to not vote for letting an assassin slit our throat.

AbeoLogos offers some good team-based arguments for tanking, and then goes on to offer The Safety Dance argument for dodging which just sounds awesome.

The big upside of Unready is the inability to trigger reactives. It's entirely possible for a stealth spec to do a big expense while the target is Unaware though to deny them their reactives as if the target was Unready however, and we already know it's possible to set someone from Unsure to Unaware.
The default upside of unready is that, yes. But if techs can trigger only on unaware then there are techs that can trigger only on unready.

You prioritize the assassin's beta-strike and gamma-strike over their alpha-strike even as you argue that an assassin bets everything on their alpha-strike. You simultaneously argue that taking this alpha-strike through the throat isn't going to be bad, but follow up strikes will be much worse because the assassin is an alpha-striker and I don't see how you can hold those opinions simultaneously.

[X] Move and Reorient

After much internal debate, I decided I want to lean into the wraith aesthetic more than I want to try and figure out the most perfect combat maneuver.
