Fine. Than we just kill her and put someone else on the throne. Happy now.
Not really? I mean, the question is why you'd be backing a monarch in the first place. It's one thing to make an alliance between wolves with Tormano Liao, a seated monarch whose power is (relatively) secure and stable. It's another thing entirely to be installing your own kings, which is what "putting someone else on the throne" means.

Ideologically and morally, the Republic's best course of action in the Mandate is to continue what they're doing: funding and assisting left-wing groups within the Mandate to enact change on their own, with an eye towards supporting them in larger ways should things get loud. If Romano or Tormano or whatever junta's currently running things can't hack it, oh well.

There is a significant difference between a monarchy like Denmark, and the sort of much more absolutist monarchy that Romano Liao would desire.

Not to mention that, well, our polity is waaaaaay left of "monarchs are OK."

[X] Write-in Counteroffer: The Republic agrees to coordinate destabilizing efforts in the Mandate with the Capellan Confederation, on the condition that both polities will be permitted to engage in their own messaging wherever they have influence, and some at least lip service will be given to Republic messaging. In places where one side or the other has significantly more influence, the messaging will be coordinated. The Republic will also press for planets that are broken from the Mandate to be permitted a plebiscite to choose reintegration with the CapCon, but will not consider it a dealbreaker if that is refused.

[X] Plan The Conference Call Preluding To War

If you do that, because you don't like those poeple choise, than you are no better than the enemy you claim we are figthing.

An autocratic leader got them into this mess, and we've imprisoned those who are from the O'Reilly line that would take the throne. Meanwhile, it's the nobles that have been acting as bastions of reaction against attempts to make things better for the people-- they probably were the slaveowners, too. Putting one of them on the throne would be horrible for the people, and it might trigger revolt from their rivals no matter who we pick.

The point of getting in and spreading our ideals was to change the way people think. To open their eyes to a way of life that doesn't demand subservience to a person who happened to be the progeny of someone who's supposedly more special than everyone else. If the people of the MH really want and fairly vote for a constituational monarch, they can have one. But I would find such a vote incredibly fishy were it to succeed.

If all they want is a figurehead like your queen, sure, ok, whatever, not my choice but fairly harmless.

Eh I think it would be nice to have another republic in this galaxy it thinks go well this could create more republican movements across the inner sphere would be nice to see how those uppity nobles deal with that.

I would love to see a helghan version of the atlas, plus I would like a cool event to happen like a zombie outbreak or a strange event like dealing with strange anomalies.

When ever I think of that, I want to mimic the Atlas weapon pattern(s); Reference the relationship between Thug + Hatamoto-Chi.

And then said pattern is applied to a SuperHeavy, Quad-Leg mech, as yet another attempt to make an homage to our MAWLRs - as well the special construction rules of a Superheavy mech allows for the Equipment Space for such (unlike normal Quad-Legs).

I was also thinking we take ques from the Atlas IIs we took apart and studied from the Outpost Castle Nautilus.

I am actually working on a Quad mech right now based on @Adventwolf assault vanguard. But instead of using the standard Quad mech template i am using the Tripod template instead. I just need to make sure there are enough tons left for 1 extra leg. Current standard design is 100 tons (compared to the original's 90 tons) and is equipped with 2 Improved Petrusite Cannons, 2 LRM 10's with 3 tons of ammo protected by CASE and 4 helghast medium lasers. It has a sinking capability of 38 thanks to 19 double heat sinks. The standard version doesn't have a shield. Finally it has 19.5 tons of armor. Though it also needs endo steel to have everything fit.

Besides the Assault Vanguard I am also working on another mech. This one is designed to combat the supply issue's we had during the marian campaign and for long distance deployments that makes it difficult for the mech to be regularly supplied.
Its name is the Raver RVR-69. I based the design on the phoenix walker from age of wonders planet fall.
The current standart version is equipped with 11 helghast medium lasers for its weapons. To deal with the heat produced by the lasers it has 18 double heat sinks giving the pilot the capability to alpha strike every turn without over heating. This weapon loadout will give it the the capability to core any mech with 14.5 tons of armor or less if all lasers hit the central torso. For the Raver to achieve such accuracy it has a beagle active probe, a targeting computer and a Improved C3 Computer. For defenses it has 13.5 tons of armor and a guardian ECM. For quirks it has 2. Easy to pilot and easy to maintain (edit: after talking on discord the quirk list has expanded to include: Rugged 2, Command Battlemech and Extended Torso Twist). This configuration probably makes the Raver probably one of the most dangerous heavy mech ever produced.

I am going to give both of these mechs one final look over before writing lore for the Raver and Rewriting the lore for the Assault Vanguard.
Once that's done i will post the completed versions and there elite variants.

We could make a pretty nasty Atlas II successor. Strip the ferro-fib and add two tons of standard armor to compensate, put in an IPR to give it 5/8 move and save weight, change out the lasers to Helghan standard, swap out the SRM-6 and LRM-20 for a MML-20 (11 Heat, 12 tons, 7 crits, saves a ton and allows a truly fearsome SRM volley up close). Either upgrade the LBX, or could go for a RAC/5-- Helghan ones only jam on snake eyes while firing 4 shots, so pretty good chance to outdamage a LBX-10 although there is range loss. UAC/10 would be +2 tons, +1 crit but would significantly increase damage chance, particularly if you stack it with precision ammo. There's room for a shield and 16 DHS after that, maybe 17. Then you've got a monster with longer range and more damage output (stripping the ER lasers for Helghan lasers maintains range with less heat), a truly nasty up-close SRM barrage capability, and horrendous durability... that moves at 5/8.

I just used AC/10 ammo as a substitute for the 5 tons of ammo total being carried (2 AC, 2 LRM, 1 SRM).

Also generates only 39 heat max now and can sink 34, so... can fire an alpha strike without shutdown!
