Frankly, going for any of the Portland actions is way too risky, because if we're discovered we're going to lose the trade and they'll attack us while we're still unprepared. We should focus on other things rather than needlessly pissing off prospective allies and trading partners.

[X] Plan: Live and Let Live
-[X] Food as a Service: Drones for Food
-[X] Decontaminate the Pyrrhus City ruins: Evacuated of civilians and nuked by the most fanatical followers of Scolar Visari, the ruins of Helghan's capital are a stark reminder of the costs of war. Splattered with pockets of irradiated Petrusite and other deadly materials, Pyrrhus must be detoxified before it can be rebuilt. [LOCKED IN]
-[X] Research Invader Ballistic and Missile Weapons: Harder hits and bigger booms; that seems to be the motto of the invader's ballistic and missile weapons.
-[X] Research Invader Fusion Generators: Light, smaller, and more efficient than the fusion generators you were allowed to purchase, cracking the science behind the invader's fusion reactors would allow you to free up Petrusite for use elsewhere and get you started on developing fusion drives for your cruisers.
-[X] Research Invader Armour: Light, tough, and capable of dissipating attacks with ease through ablation, the invader's armour is at least several decades beyond your own.
-[X] Fund Automation Research

I don't think making a deal counts as an action, so anyone tell me if it does.

here are some of my thoughts about Portland, we cant afford to make any aggressive moves as of right now they are only source of food so until we have a alternative source we dont mess with them.

also in the future turns we should Research Invader Armour: Light, Energy Weapons and Ballistic and Missile Weapons as this will help us catch up with the tech lvl we also have not done Fund Physics Research and Petrusite Research

So is a MAWLR's beam a one shot against most mechs or does it have to keep the beam trained on them and do damage over time?

I'd like to hold off on screwing with Portland until after we get our own house in order.

It would be nice to keep plugging away at "Fund Irradiated Petrusite Research" as long as we're still decontaminating Pyrrhus but I'll just have to be quicker on the draw for the next vote cycle.

We pretty much got railroaded into obtaining food one way or another, and any non-trade methods always runs the risk of failing and us losing stability via food riots.
