Don't count those two so low, they have more experience than anyone in the Trust outside the Marines.
Not discounting them, they're experience could prove invaluable to her, but I will note that we only got 1 martial or so out of Alfric.

Still I doubt she'd be able to learn from Alfric, being the planatary governor... or maybe she would he is a friend of the family and all.

Um, I meant more of a retired Cadian Army Colonel. They'd be like a crotchety old math teacher who swears everyday of their life about how math is important. Imagine the same but with an Army Colonel talking about how certain basic but wise principles lead to success.

I'd write the omake but nothing I ever write is good. An no one tells me what i can do to fix it :(

Just ask someone to beta it.

Say "hey I've done this omake will someone beta it for me" you'll get someone good, hell there are lots here.

Herman Oberth: Okay Class my Name is Herman Von Oberth. I worked with Estemed comarde General Kenneth Drago. During the war in Fjol IV I was captured in my own tent by Xeno assasin who cut my ears of before I shoot him with gun. So if I AM YELLING in class it is not because I am angry. Rather I am trying to make SURE that you all KNOW that I am MAKING A POINT! YES?

...

Herman Oberth: Okay good! Now it is time to begin first lesson. War is won by stepping over the body of dead enemy. But the battle is won by gaining levrage. The levrage that you seek is of course your strategic objectives as the academians would call it. But I like levrage better because it is easier on my old mouth.

Anyway! You as officers must always find the levrage on a field. Those who would save your people and your ability to destroy are important. But sometimes denying your mysterous and eccentric foe there levrage is important. No man in my opinion has done this better than comrade Drago. Even as lowly soldier he understood the importance of denying good dirt to enemy and to help keep is squad safe. It is then that young drago began his career in the orchestra of war. Or as I like to call it Reggaeton. He played very good Reggaeton!

One time, in anticipation of enemy snipers Drago and his squad took the uniforms of dead soldiers and walked back to the enemy camp. I know tis to be true bcause I yelled at him as commanding officer for it. But I applauded his results in throwing grenade into enemy captains quarters and while artillery kept everyones sight on the ground. He played reggaeton of our blessed artielry to make it look like bomb was just lucky hit!

Smart and stupid man he was YES!

However as sophisticated officers you will be more concerned on big picture? YES?

Your college experience was weird, and yes I do think she should know the basic principles she's been involved in what is effectively a constant war since birth has been in a command position since she could work has been in the military and worked her way up, is a military genius and has been involved in an actual war (the exploring of Iota) in a command position.

Syr's martial should be 49. 29+20=49
hu...

If I'm counting right then her martial should be 49...

How did we miss this :o

Good spot.

Edit: I think @durin may have made a mistake in the base stat, cause the added bonus definitely adds up.

My professor was tecahing us trig. He has a PHD in math from Moscow State University. An guess what else? He got it when the Soviet union was around. He's been teaching math ever since.

He got the oppertunity by being on of the brigthest kids in cuba (or at least his school) and was sent on a full scholarship. After he graduated he taugth in Havana Huniversity where the first cubans came in to get educated and go for a PHD in math also. He said of the 100 that came in they only graduated 5 people.

He was the toughest and most eccentric guy I ever saw. But I love him. Would never risk my GPA with him again even though I got an A though.

I live in Oxford and have parents in the university, trust me this is nothing odd.

DAMN.

:o Serious respect from me.

Yeah, I'm trying to find her original stat sheet to make sure this isn't a mistake at some kind, but her +20 bonus is accurate.

What?!
In 40k just assume humans are comic book peak humans with subconscious altering of reality via the warp it is the only way I can justify them being able to engage in close combat and melee with their explicitly superhuman enemies:wtf: that have technology equal to or better then theirs. To elaborate I honestly believe no ordinary humans could survive 40k let along Avernus. So there is some Rule of cool/Batman bullshit going on here for humanity in 40K.

Also he loves russia to death. The most obsessive parts at least. Which I myself have found a liking to because I also want to be more firm in getting what I want.

EDIT: Wheel of time I know lol.

Personally I've seen 40k as a big shonen manga like Naruto. Where the caracters get stronger but the enemies are also strong as frak too.

It's just that normally in shonen the protagonist gets stronger and isn't a super boss so early...Well the good ones don't do that at least.

I strongly suspect 40k humans have the limiters snapped off. Like if they are good enough there is no upper limit, or at least one that could realistically be reached. Though the fact we live on a death world that is explicitly shaping everything on it to be as deadly as possible may also be involved.

Just checked back and it's supposed to be 19+20. Probably got changed on accident
This is her original stat sheet
Maybe.

M: 6+1=7(18+3=21)
This was her original character sheet as in the VERY first.

#25298
d100=30+5(Palace)+43(Administration)=75: Success, Syr gains +1 Martial
Syr gains +1 martial
And +1's like this are not from traits they go on the base stats.

I don't know how many times we succeed here, but I'd wager we boosted it a fair amount.

Since I calculated the amount that our traits give us
Blood of the Vanir (+1M, +1D, +1C) – Syr has inherited from her mother and is unmistakably one of the Vanir.
Heir of Rotbart (+5M, +3A, +1P, +1C, +1 morale for military and civilians) – Syr has truly come into her own over recent years and has developed her skills to a high extent. She seems to be very bit as naturally talented as you are and is improving those talents though hard work and dedication. Syr is without a doubt worthy of taking up the reins of Avernus when you pass on and you can trust her to rule well.
Survival Instinct (+1M, +2C, less likely to die) – Syr seems to have either developed or inherited a strong survival instinct and has a real sense for incoming danger, a very useful trait for ay Avernite.
Military Genius (+6M, +1C) -Syr seems to have inherited your natural talent for military command, being able to feel the flow of a battle and lead her forces to victory with surprising ease.
Militia Officer (+1M, +3A, +1C)- In her time as a member of the militia Syr reached the rank of captain. She duties and responsibilities of this rank forced her to further develop her skills.
Avernus Officers Academy Valedictorian (+2M, +3A, +3L, +2P, +2C)- Syr graduated from the Avernus Officers Academy with the second highest marks of on record, losing out only to her legendary father.
Helltrooper Brigadier
(+4M, +4C)- Syr is a brigadier among the Avernite Helltroopers, one of the senior officers in Avernus' primary expeditionary force. As such she has been forced to develop her skills in combat and command to a rather high level.
It comes up to 20 exactly which is what her + bonus should be

M: 29+20 (10)=40(30) (+105 martial bonus on ground, +50 martial bonus in space)

So I can't think of any where else those +1's should have gone besides her base of the stat.

they are capable of regularly doing feats that no modern human is but not by an incredible amount
comparing them to Batman or another peak human from comics would work
Yes.[/QUOTE]

So is Syr at the legendary stage of martial ability? Aka one of the Trusts soon to be premeir generals?

New nickname for Syr. 'The Hawk'

It's pretty viking and I've been watching Justice League the movie (Invaders). An Hawk Girl has motivated me :)

Oh an because Hawks were used for scouting back in the day.

I'll admit I forgot to check for raises from spend time. I was just surprised how little tutoring we did in martial. Sorry
We did it more than once and then there was spend time of course which has given various boosts in success.

Tutor we didn't do because we got the mega crit and got the genius trait which bumped the success chance from 30% to 10%

So yeah, tis possible it has been bumped to 29 base over time, but lets not get our hopes up.

After a more thorough search we've raised it 3 times not counting traits, once with tutoring and twice with spend time on turns 77 and 78. I forgot about the mega crit when she was being tutored.

Her original martial was 18, so 18+3=21+20=41, 1 under what her sheet says she has.

This seems more likely, but still lets ask @durin tomorrow.

Thanks for checking for me.
