I know you're joking, but that's exceedingly unlikely. Syr is the heir to one of the major powers in the Trust, and she's related to their own Governor who it seems likely isn't going to be replaced since he wasn't ousted last turn.

I think it's far more likely that they might would try to earn her affections. Avernus might not be very popular on Vanaheim right now, but a Vanir noble who marries her and gets her with child is going to get his bloodline into the line that controls Avernus, which is a major win from the standpoint of someone who is raised to think in dynastic terms. I can only hope one of them does manage to get her attention and is competent enough that we'd approve of the marriage, because we need some grandchildren dammit!
This time I'm hoping for a bond with Asgard or Muspelhiem, but another Vanir is good too I suppose.

Eh, as long as they're competent I'm fine with keeping it in the family.
Yeah sure, Syr is our best choice for successor.
But if some idiot thinks he can get in our line of succession just because he had unprotected sex with her I have news for him.

We're fine with not using one of our descendants if there are none suited for the job, but political marriages with Avernite Governors and their children become much less viable as a system if we don't base the system on blood ties first.
I am perfectly willing to base it on Blood ties second and give all relatives the best education and first chance to prove their competence.

Syr is very capable and is extremely dedicated to becoming just as good a Governor as Frederick. As such I believe she will be as discerning as possible when it comes to choosing a husband. We might need to give her a few nudges towards getting hitched because she seems to have become somewhat workaholic, but other than that I don't think we need to worry too much.

I'd definitely prefer to have some powerful nobleman as Syr's husband though; it'd do wonders to buff up Avernus' diplomatic standing. It's just too bad that our current dynastic tie is with a pseudo-democratic power.

Also someone needs to write an omake about this. Good lads from throughout the Imperial Trust trying and failing to meet up to an Avernite Lady's Blue&Orange expectations and standards sounds hilarious.

Until now I had the impression that she is very dedicated to becoming a good officer and general. She has not really been a fan of other areas like stewardship or diplomacy.
Things like that would be a bit easier to determine if we had some actual talks for our "Spending time" actions instead of just one- or twoliners.

@Addio that sound like something you would be interested in?

Man I hope Syr doesn't get bullied by some Vanir officers. That's a lot of blood to wash off the walls otherwise.
......You do realize that she is going to a college for generals right?

Everyone there will be in their 80's or older. Bullying is unlikely. If these people want to hurt you, they arrange assassinations or thorough blackmail. They won't try to corner you in a hallway and steal your meal chits.

This isn't high-school man.

Political maneuvering will be omni-present instead. There is a reason that "military politician"/politcal general is a trait for some of our elder generals.

The ways that sentence could be taken.....:p

But seriously I'm for a Midgardion or Asgardan. The Midgardions have that duel leadership of Nobles and Generals with who is in charge depending on if they're on war footing or not. I would love to get a Midgard Noble hooked up with Syr. He would be used to the division of leadership and can cover Syr's lack on the diplomatic and stewardship while she handles the Mil and Intrigue. Hell I'm gonna write a omake on that when i get home.

No guys. I meant why would theh bullt syr.

Rigth now shes incognito so no one one knows who its her. But she's still an Avernite General. With a posse.

Anonymity mattered when she was a grunt. Now that she's a Brigadier General I don't think her identity is hidden anymore, especially considering her regular interactions with Frederick during the exploration of Iota.

Actually now that I think about it with 40 martial she's one of the better generals in the whole of the nine worlds.

Schwartz, Fred and probably Surt are better, but I can't think of anyone else.

She's considered 'superhuman' and almost heroic 'superhuman'. In fact she's one away from being heroic superhuman. Does anyone want to make an omake where syr learns from a super influential/intelligent General/Proffesor at Midgard?

@durin 1. Is there any way to get Syr to the next level of swordsmanship?

2. How much more experience does she need?

3. Would dueling the space marines in a friendly wargame help?
