Looking at the sheets..Syr has better martial and combat than the other Generals (no bonuses). An this woman is 76 years old. She's not even a century old..

Avernite Elder (+4C) – Having survived half a century of life on Avernus Lieutenant-General Eichel has proven herself an expert warrior.

On a related note, Syr only has the basic form of Avernite which gives a +1. Shouldn't she have the Avernite Elder trait. She has spent at least 70 years on Avernus.

Maybe.

M: 6+1=7(18+3=21)
This was her original character sheet as in the VERY first.

#25298

And +1's like this are not from traits they go on the base stats.

I don't know how many times we succeed here, but I'd wager we boosted it a fair amount.

Since I calculated the amount that our traits give us

It comes up to 20 exactly which is what her + bonus should be

So I can't think of any where else those +1's should have gone besides her base of the stat.

Yes.
I am also talking about other humans that are not Avernites in 40K.

Yeah, it took me a while to notice but turns out Syr beats Rotbart on every intrinsic stat except intrigue (And she's only lagging by one intrinsic point) and administration, not to mention how she's stacking them trait bonuses like crazy to the point that at a third of Rotbart's age she's getting darn close to his total stats.
Eugenics be like cray cray up in this hiz'ouse.

@durin Would Avernus get priority/preference for colonizing any newly discovered Deathworlds?
yes
[X] Plan Enjou T81

A few questions @durin

1. If we donate a % of our debt to Vanheim to the Ultramarines so the can build his fleet, what would be the maximum amount that would still be sensible (so the rest of the trust wouldn't consider us foolishly generous)?

2. Can we use Ridcully´s divination powers to check other areas in the Imperium as we are doing with Macragge?

3. How many orbital defences (defence platforms, heavy defence platforms and defence stations) would Parnell want in total (number of each type and proportion between Kumae and Avernus)?

4. The warp storms surrounding the Trust are supposed to end relatively soon, could you give us an estimation in years?

5. Syr can still take more education options?

6. Are you still looking for ideas to have more actions in the coming turns, or do you already have enough?
1. no more then a quarter
2. no
3. as many as possible, at least 1000/300/20
4. 5-50
5. at the moment no
6. I am always looking for ideas

Syr's base martial should be 21 and has been corrected to that
She's considered 'superhuman' and almost heroic 'superhuman'. In fact she's one away from being heroic superhuman. Does anyone want to make an omake where syr learns from a super influential/intelligent General/Proffesor at Midgard?

@durin 1. Is there any way to get Syr to the next level of swordsmanship?

2. How much more experience does she need?

3. Would dueling the space marines in a friendly wargame help?
1. either her naturally reaching it or her getting good enough for Jane to train her to it
2. not sure, a decade or two
3. yes

Compilation done to page 700.

Some trait ideas:
Grandmaster of Statistics (+A, +I, +L) - X has mastered the much-vaunted art of statistics, capable of estimating many unknown incidences.
Pacifist (+D, +P, --C, + Control) - X abhors killing, never taking a life.
Empathetic (++D, +P) - X has always have had an innate understanding and connection to the emotions of others.
Perceptive (+A,+M,+D,+I,+L,+C, +Control, Less Likely to die, Bonus to detecting) - X has a preternatural ability to perceive the world around him/her at a level above most others.
Avernite Bushwalker (+++C, +D with Avernites, +++Bonus against Avernite Wildlife, More likely to die each year) - X is an Avernite Bushwalker, with all that entails.
Strong Will (+P, +Control, Bonus against Telepathy) - X has a strong will, a fairly useful trait.
Serenity (++P, ++Control) - X has achieved inner peace, laying to rest regrets, ghost of his/her past, so on and so forth.

Some possible routes of improvement for our characters:
Ridcully - Ability to reroll Nat 1s, Bigger Bonii on rerolls.
Frederick Rotbart - Effectively precognitive generalship (More details about enemy forces even in cases with low/no intelligence), Roll twice in military actions he's participating in directly?
Tamia - Instrumental Music in addition to Songweaving?

Some Ideas:
An Antiplague that spread in the same way as a plague, but without the actual negatives of a plague?
Hippocratic Oath ritual effects? (Biomancer Sanctionites?)
Training with Xavier/Ridcully to improve our mental defence?

Wow, only 5-50 years till the Warpstorm ends. On the one hand it means there is less internal politics (us v them and what not). On the other hand the Ultramarines won't be able to get back up to chapter strength or finish up integrating those last few DAOT vehicles.

"Brigandeir Syr of Helguard vs. Brigandier Duquis of Alfiem. Scenario 17.

Highest roll goes first. Throw"

Two D6's are thrown. One from me and my opponent. I come up with short 5 to his 6. I hate fraking dice.

"Advantage Duquis. Please begin."

From there the table is set up as we both begin planting our models and pointers across the table. I play the invaders attempting to to crack into a defended city with all kinds of defenses. We both received the exact same requisition instead of rolling for that too, thank the Emperor because knowing my luck I would come up short again.

"Good luck to you fair lady." The man said. What the hell is this chivalry thing? I mean I know he's being nice but of course i'm impartial. I just give him a smile and wish him luck as I focus on my deployments. I decide to to bank on a two pronged assault from opposite sides of the city. Both of equal strength in the hopes that only one needs to succeed in a breakthrough. I decide to spend extra requisition on stealthing my units which forces me to deploy less on the initial phase.

"Are you sure you want to spend so much on stealth?" my opponent asks.

"Don't worry about me sir. You'll find out the results of this soon enough."

After deployments everything begins in earnest. My artillery on both sides nailing his to lower counter attacks and eventually open up breeches on the walls. Since were both playing average guard vs pdf I don't have to worry about some ritual or the other. I have 30 turns to crack all three of his walls and proceed to fight him in phase two. To be clear phase one is alot easier for the defenders because of the walls behind walls and the numerous artillery that he can stack. Phase 2 being the attackers wet dream, no more fixed artillery or walls to hind behind. It simply turns into a massive street fight with guards, armor, and our air force.

I'm not worried about winning though. Afterall I've beaten everyone here and I've gone through all of these scenarios in Duat against the crocs, tigers, and worms that keep coming. In fact it's felt like clock work for the last 3 months. They line up and I knock them down and my professors find it hard to find something to criticize about me. Unless their Cadians. Those guys don't take breaks or give slack whatsoever to anyone no matter what. Personally, i wish we had more of them around..

As for the match it breaks down like this: Turn 1-5 I break down the walls. 6-10 silence artillery on the walls while possibly losing on the other hand, all firing units motion to the better breech. Turn 11-15 fortifications are blown the fuck down and while rush from both sides. I have 3/4 making the mad in the east while the rest take west. No matter what I keep 'popping a new unit' out of stealth to force his other units to respond while the rest continue to break through without firing a shot. Eventually they climb over the second set of walls and are at the final gate. Dequis decided to leave his command unit and a bodyguard unit in the back. Not good enough against my last two stealthed units.

I order my units in the back popped as the rest use their very bodies to block other units from fleeing backwards to help the last gate. Perfect execution and i'm only on Turn 20 now. These last 10 turns need only a few more dice to hit hard enough for me to breech.

But going back to the explosies I hit hard enough that his Commander dies. All units enemy units in the vicinity take a check..and the command unit succees. However, the body guard unit runs off the field meaning he's out of play mernamently before the commisars or anyone else can bring them back in line. Seeing the writing in the wall a 'cease fire' is called allowing me to pick up the win. I take hard casualties on this phase due to the all the fire my men took while Duquis still has a majority of his men now. But no commander to rally them.

On phase 2, the clock is reset to 30 turns and this time I use my new requistion to bring in armor and scout troops instead of stealthing. He however decides to stealth his units and deny me a full knowledge of what he's packing. I guess he's trying to adapt but it's too late. The scouts continue to pick up his stalthed units and my armor slowly advances from behind. My one baneblade forcing his cluster of units die or abandon. It's only turn 10 when I near the 'Enemy Palace' and I shell the area with baneblades and armor. My scouts all the while attempt to find buildings to commandeer for cover. In the end though, I captured the palace in turn 20 as I slowly made my way forward with the scouts never risking my armor.

"Game set and match. Debrief in 3 hours." The instructor calls.

"Another excellent match Ms. Hawk" a nearby voice says from behind. In turning around I see it's General Agni of Asgard. "I especially enjoyed watching the armor in play, I always enjoyed metal running over troops as a Knight-Commander."

"Thanks Agni so how'd your match go?"

"I lost against a Midgardian who showed me that armor is weak when conscripts decided to clog the roads so that you can't get in the keep." He smiles a bit at that " Get this. When I asked him if he would send his mother if he had to. Quite the determined man he was.".

Agni was the definition of a noble in Syrs eyes. Handsome, Intelligent, cruel, eccentric, and always too happy with himself. He also didn't seem to like taking hits if there matches had anything to say about it. He was fine in using conscripts to get killed while attempting a flank with Titans or Predators but he didn't care about the ground stomper at all.

"So Ms. Hawk have you thougth of letting me take you to that Aesir restraunt in the nobles quarter? I hear that their churasco is to die for." Oh and Syr sorta knew that he wanted to get into her pants. Self entitles ass didn't get the hint when she said no, threw the door in his face, and almost slapped the bastard once when he said if I was scared of dating a high born noble. I really hate this mans arrogance. I could get along with everything else but his arrogance was like sucking in nervas through your eyes letting a phase tiger eat it's way out of your head.

"No Agni, I have a AAR after this with Colonel Wilhelm. He says the last report was only 'passible' and that means I have to do better. Don't you even do reports?"

"Of course I do. It's easy all you have to do is write what happened. Takes me like, well, 15 minuites."

Fraking LIAR! Those take hours because then you have to write up paralel statistical analysis, find a real incident in which what happened occured, and THEN write the AAR. Everyone did that and the math alone takes more than an hour with all of the variables.

"Sorry I'm up MIA street for that. Have you asked Jude or someone else?"

"Of course not Syr, Your the only woman I haven't taken to that place..I mean uh."

'Men' like this want more than to eat dinner. I wish they would just ask me out of kindness like I let anyone drink coffee in my apartment. Are there any good samaritans out there?!
