Which is exactly what we've been trying to do, repeatedly, to our own detriment. We're not the ruler of the trust, we're simply a member. No nation likes their sovereignty being threatened by an outside force. Giving them money and forgiving debt will quiet some complaints for a time but it doesn't address the issue which only makes things worse for us when we continue to confirm their fears with our actions.

Well, this may not be the case in 40K universe, but typical Western understanding does not include propaganda under "sovereignty".

Traditionally, threats to sovereignty would require some form of coercion.

Threats to life, liberty, or property.

Planting slanted news stories is generally considered rude, and people don't like it, but it's hardly a threat to Vanaheim's sovereignty.

No one likes the Xenos, Avernites were optimistic but after the scandal their approval dropped. The Xenos went from disliking to hating us, next is Vanaheim level loathing. Despite this, no one else in the trust is going to to take a fleet and bombard the Xenos cities. I seriously don't know why we're focusing on trying to change the trust's view of Xenos when we have done almost nothing diplomatically with the Xenos since they've arrived. Again, the Xenos hate us, we haven't proved to the trust at all that we can work with Xenos, quite the opposite in fact. Once the Xenos actually like us, then we can focus on changing the trust's view of them. Maybe once we've made some progress there we can bring it up in the next trust meeting. Until then, stop bringing up the quartok with the rest of the trust.

We haven't done anything with the Quartoks because they are a long term investment, and do not really have anything we can work on much. Other than investigating them and discovering landmines for xenos-human relations (like we already did).

*We can go back to being memetic space Australians instead of a caricature of imperialist America.

"Imperialist" I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Propagandizing Vanaheim to not hate our protectorate is not imperialist.

@Addio
So very, very much fun. Tranth is a lady-killer, Henry is the kind of dad I want to be if I ever have the pleasure. Avernus life-expectancy dropped somehow, so the kid-gloves apparently came off at some point. *shudder*

More questions.. (Sry..)

1. For this specific ship design (based entirely around holding psyker choirs), is is still ~500 of trained minor psykers that could be safely fit in?
2. What's the effective range of Telepathy Psyker-Sniping? (Even if they'll know, using it in fleet-to-fleet combat to eliminate psykers, (esp diviners) is probs good idea.)
a. Can a Telepathy Choir in space apply their powers to targets groundside?
b. Sniping Enemy Generals?
c. Sniping Enemy Psykers?
3. Is it possible to locate leaders onboard ships and snipe them with a telepathy choir at range? (Divination/Telepathy Choir?)
4. Using major psyker powers in a choir would basically allow any psyker to find them?
5. Can a Telepathy Choir on groundside target spaceborn targets?
a. How far?
6. Does the technology exist for building places/things to specifically amplify/assist choirs?
a. Can we develop one, if it doesn't exist?

The more I look at this, the more it looks like it's a sniper ship. Probably hide out somewhere and snipe all the important people on the opposing side before/while battle is happening.

Possibly something more practical might be a compartment within a command battleship that is warded insanely to allow, say, 4 telepathy choirs with 200~300 People each and repeat telapthy-nuking enemies while in the safety of the extremely heavily armored ship.
1. yes
2a a few light seconds but it is very hard to do though Void Shields, wards or any other defences
2b and c. yes but if the target is warded or decently strong it will be very hard
4. not though void shields
5a. yes, at a light second or so at the most
6. no
6a. no, you are several steps to low of the tech tree,

Time is almost over.

So is it me or do we not ever seem to be in dire need for anything? I always feel that we have virtually unlimited hard currency on hand to buy things.

As for trading..i have no idea what to go after. Ever.

Can someone clue me in abit and possibly whoever else is lost on these parts?

Ok we have an annual deficit of -601,721 AM and -5,431 EM, so lets at least get double that in trade. Ideally at least one million more AM and 10k more EM than that. Putting togther a plan that has going to the max debt with each planet for max AM/EM right now, except Vanaheim and aiming to cut the debt there by as much as we can. Metalwise trying to balance shipping the majority h right to Vanaheim and importing enough to keep us net positive there. On trading our other resources like Thrones, Promethium and the rest, we can trade to the max considering our vast annual incomes.

@durin , what are the limits for going into debt with the other planets?

We are running a deficit of AM, EM and metal.

The metal situation is resolvable in around 10-15 years for the first mine to be finished, but the AM and EM situation will be taking a lot longer to resolve.

We actually do not have a metal deficit right now, except if we trade so we can control that.

We only have to trade the vast majority of our metal income to Vanaheim, no need to go super overboard into metal deficit that we would run out before the mines expand. I am seeing how much we can import in metal with regard to cargo to boost our exports to Vanaheim
I know that, I made note of that, but we're probably still going to have to go into the red.
