The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

Also, I argue that, Chapter that potentially corrects Imperial Webway is more important than Sensei. Sure, Sensei don't deserve this shit, but Imperial Webway is teeming with Daemons and other Chaos forces do this day, helping with that would be pretty fucking important, arguably the most important from this list, only potential Molech guarding Chapter could be more important.
And part a reason Emperor is rotting corpse is because he is in constant need of holding daemons from crossing human webway which stops him from actually regenerating.

Prelimary Plans

[ ] Plan: Draconic Wizards
-[ ] ???: Your next Chapter is to be from the lineage of the Thousand Sons, and will be entrusted with the {REDACTED} technology upon their completion.
-[ ] Traitor Legion Geneseed: Traitor Legion Geneseed: If you wish, you could gain access to the gene-seed of the traitor legions, each will have its benefits and costs, but all of them will have their gene-fathers concealed for practical reasons - little point creating a Chapter only for them to be wiped out by some overly paranoid fool. Write in a traitor legion. 10 Points for each time this is taken.
--[] Thousand Sons
-[ ] Secondary Gene-Seed (Insert Legion Name): The key component for creating Chimeric Gene-Seed. You're honestly surprised Guiliman approved of this one - then again, you did hear him grumbling about some idiots who were suggesting mixing Night Lord and World Eater templates, so maybe he just wanted to make the concept your problem before somebody did something completely moronic. 25 Points for one charge, choose 1 legion to be the donor for the secondary Gene-Seed. Burn 1 charge and traits from the donor chapter are added for a roll, or a separate charge of potent gene-seed can be spent for a separate roll on the donor legion's trait list as well as an acquisition of the secondary legions 'base' traits.
--[] Salamanders
-[ ] Extra Trainers: With some extra effort and yelling at a few more bureaucrats, you ought to be able to arrange things so the new Chapter is able to get in some extra specialised training before proper deployment. 5 Points. Burn 1 charge to get an extra training option.

We're going to be entrusted with specialized technology and Iron Hands are extremely good at technology.

Uhh, correct me if I'm wrong but the Salamanders are adept hands at tech stuff too, no?

Magnus is fine and all, but I personally would prefer the second option and protect the Sensei (assuming that's what the second request is about.)

think that if we make a chapter that searches for and protects the sensei it may either slowdown, halt, or reverse the imperiums decline.

Also, wouldn't mixing Thousand Son and Salamander gene-seed make this chapter incredibly propensive toward mutations? That sounds like it's going to end their career very early.

[] Plan: Guards of Selene part 1
-[ ] Retrieval: You are to develop a Chapter specialized towards finding and protecting the {EXTRA REDACTED}, due to their personal importance to the Emperor Himself.
--[] Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus
-[ ] Legendary Gene-Seed: The finest Gene-Seed ever recovered from a given legion. 15 Points per charge, Burn a Charge to add a legion's legendary traits to the roll list for that round.
-[ ] Extra Trainers: With some extra effort and yelling at a few more bureaucrats, you ought to be able to arrange things so the new Chapter is able to get in some extra specialised training before proper deployment. 5 Points. Burn 1 charge to get an extra training option.
-[ ] Latch Boots: A superior counterpart to the regular mag-boots in Power Armour, these fascinating devices gives the Chapter's armor the ability to 'stick' itself onto any surface at will - letting the Astartes of the chapter fight on vertical surfaces, or even while upside down. 10 Points.

My reasoning is that while potential tech, which probably is Webway or astronomican/Golden Throne research, is important, Retrieval is about protecting people of personal importance to the emperor, which, in my opinion, is the most important thing to making sure that Star Father/Chaos Emperor will never become a thing.

As for the reason why I chose Luna wolves: I find using them for the mission from Emperor himself to be a fitting redemption/penance for that geneline, and running on walls to protect their charges is also super cool, and we have 2 of the gene-seed bonuses stored away already.

Welp- That hit us out of nowhere. As for the unique STC, I was thinking the Excelsior Dreadnaught for Thousand Sons? Largely because the others don't really seem to fit. Not sure thoughhhh.
If we go that route, I'd strongly recommend the Power Chakram. In the hands of a moderately skilled telekine it can be turned from a throwing weapon into a flying remote controlled Power Buzzsaw which can carve its way through the enemy like a scythe through wheat*. Any Thousand Sons successor will have quite a few moderately skilled telekines.

*Think of that scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 where Yondu massacres the mutinous Ravagers to the tune of "Come a Little Bit Closer" by Jay and the Americans. Replace the whistles with telekinesis and the arrow with an chakram, and you've got a decent idea of how much damage a Librarian can do with a Power Chakram.

No idea what this could be. But it being entrusted implies that its already on Terra or safe therfore its not an immediate problem.

Depending on exactly how the Sensei are being portrayed in this quest they could literally be important in possibly reviving Emps or just for there knowledge. And they will be hunted down by the Inquisition so they are KINDA on a time limit so this is my pick.
[ ] The 4 Gates: You are to place a Chapter on a planet with the ({SUPER FUCKING REDACTED} Gate) keyword.
Either Molech or Cadia maybe? It's NOT THE WEBWAY PROJECT, because it's on A planet not Terra. Cadia is important buuut it's only gonna fall in 10kish so it's fine for now. If it's Molech... I'm honestly unsure whether or not protecting it is worth it?

I'd thought the 4 gates was the imperial webway, but either way I really want to do the webway to reduce the reliance on warp travel

I don't deny Magnus was prideful and arrogant, but he didn't deserve the banning of Psykers, Emperor should have put limitations for safety but outright banning was stupid, Burning of Prospero, and becoming Tzeentch slave. He should have been taken down a notch for his hubris, but everything that happened? He never deserved it, and again, I will die on this hill.

I am willing to support anything that focusses on the webway, because hoo boy. AN ALTERNATIVE TRAVEL METHOD NOT IN THE WARP AND LOWERING THE STRAIN ON THE EMPEROR HIMSELF!
Why are people thinking this is the Imperial Webway? It's on Terra, this is probably Molech.

No idea what this could be. But it being entrusted implies that its already on Terra or safe therfore its not an immediate problem.
It is for sons of magnus, aka guy who was supposed to seat on the golden throne. This means that the tech is of psychic nature, which narrows it down to 3 things:
  • Golden throne itself
  • Astronomican
  • Imperial webway

Or it's related to Blackstone Fortresses Or something like the Pharos device? My problem is all three of those things are on Terra. And to be entrusted with something implies it will be given to them.

-[] Power Chakram: An odd example of weapon design, the power Chakram is nonetheless a lethal weapon, both in close range and to anyone foolish enough to be hit by its thrown form.
