Well as the QM has said we have the Studious trait... So we are literally more scholarly than most of the aristocracy in the setting...

Besides that, from a strictly gameplay point of view, we started a side quest chain with the Visenya research... I am pretty sure there is something interesting at the end of said chain...
It's not so much that I think Rhaenyra wouldn't hit the books, but that this is a very niche topic that we would be researching pretty much solely to sate our own curiosity as I doubt that clearing Visenyas name would do much to improve our standing with anyone.

Not that I'm opposed to doing it, but there's just so much other stuff I'd prefer doing.

At some point, I would like to propose we fulfil our need for violence not by going to the Stepstones but by doing something about the Mountain Clans of the Vale, if we wipe them out it would secure peace in the Vale and absolutely guarantee the future support for us and our line with all Lord and Rulers of the Vale.

The lords of the Vale have been trying to genocide the mountain clans for the past 5,000 years. We are not going to be able to finish that, dragon or not.

Yeah, we're not gonna get rid of the mountain clans, (and arguing that we should would probably get mods in the thread) but we could definitely assist a military campaign to clear out a couple mountains worth of territory to fortify and claim for the Valemen.

I'm kinda anxiously awaiting the moment the votes swing back around to doing proper Knight training. We were specifically told to take it seriously and have not done it again since, I think? Guy's gonna be pissed at us, I expect...

Arguing for doing just a little genocide ain't exactly any different. What you are proposing still means burning down a few dozen villages and everyone within them by dragon fire.

And I'd rather not do any of that.

It honestly doesn't really make sense that skipping a turn of training is, in-universe, not training at all for three months straight. It makes more sense as it being taking it easy and going through the motions/etc.

Tbh, the implication i got is that taking it seriously is doing it always.

We only skipped 1 turn last time we got criticism iirc.
We got criticism for bulking up and eating lots of chicken for increasing our proteins and calories intake, but not from our trainer/sworn sword...
We're definitely training next turn and every subsequent turn, though I doubt we'd be getting out of shape dragon-riding, at least...
I don't think so, we have lots of shit to do and a veritable AP hell so we are most likely keeping the training two times per year...

Very much this, Teen Spirit already told us that we are doing more things in the 3 month besides talking to a couple of people and 2 activities, the things that appear in each update in the main focus...
Isn't Gawyne a fairly standup guy, I might be horribly misremembering?
Yeah, he is, the problem with our romantic train and our "find love aspiration" makes it pretty difficult to settle for a "mere" stand up guy...

And if we have to settle forva dtand up guy, Laenor is politically a much better match...

is matchmaking Alicent to Jason Lannister still on the table after the dancing reaction?
Jason fucking Lannister is an arse. I don't like him and don't want to be near him. Period.

For a Lannister match, I would prefer Tyland.
Tyland is a much more bearable person to be around. Book Tyland was great during Aegon III's reign. I support a match like that.

Otto is probably scheming of getting us matched with Gwayne, which isn't a bad match. But as I said before, I don't want another Andrew Farman situation.

Laenor is probably the only guy who wouldn't give a shit about who Rhaenyra loves, but again, the problem with him is that he won't give us children. If we start an affair with another man, we get the same situation as in canon, and if we start an affair with a woman, we get no heirs at all, which would become a problem.

Nah, we're fine with doing it three times a year? My own perspective is that we can absolutely afford it. If we have desperate needs, that's what the Stress-building Three Actions are for. We need to get better, stronger, and smarter now, while we have the time to study up.

Also, to the extent we have to know Valyrian things (which we do if we want more dragons for our cause than just Syrax), better to learn them from daddy before he croaks than from the creepy dragon-keepers later.

If we need Laenor to keep House Velaryon's dragons on-side (which is one of the reasons for marrying him in the first place). Why don't we pair Laenor with Alicent. This way, Alicent gets a husband that wouldn't mind her being with us, it should (hopefully) bring the Velaryon's back onside and it leaves our hand in marriage free (where we can use it as a barging chip or marry our male true love).

I proposed it once, but the main problem with that is Otto and Corlys hate each other. Also Otto position as a second son doesnt help matters. Unless we spin it that Rhaenyra heir will marry Laenor and Alicent kid.
