Rounds aren't a set length of time. It's 10-20 seconds, but can be longer or shorter depending on the action. By default, it's usually 15.

I am going to be blunt; don't even bother.

If it converted right, assuming the longest possible time for a round like twenty seconds or so, the Skadi would go at Mach 4, which is clearly not the case. If you choose to go with the low end of the scale, like five or ten seconds, things will continue to break down and none of the work you put it will get any valid answer.

I'm not worried about the reality of the situation as reality is in the corner weeping over square cube law getting punched in the Junk, and my suspension of disbelief extends far enough to embrace a supersonic Jaeger tobogan... make reality suffer a massive coronary as long as my giant robots can roflstomp kaiju...

The scale is between 10-20 seconds. So yeah, it clocks in at over 4,000 km/h, even on the high end (E: time-wise). Which is...rather high, I must admit. Maybe the Thaumaturgical Science Department contributed to a project for once.

Which doesn't really improve matters, when you're already closer to hypersonic speeds than subsonic ones, at 24/20 (1.2) km/s, as opposed to 24/15 km/sec.

Anyone have a copy of that draft Nixeu wrote up?
I don't know about the draft, but here's the downtime plan template, for whoever wants to make their own.

Did we have another Kaiju or Comms action? I coulda swore we had two of one of those but I can't remember which.

I made that using this bit from Seattle's stat sheet as a guide.
Pick as many actions as you have Population (10), along with 1 Communications action, 1 Kaiju Scanning action, 1 Breach Research action, 2 Jaeger Research actions, 1 Kaiju Research action, 3 Conventional Research actions, and 1 J-Recycling action. You need not use all your actions during downtime, but any unused actions are wasted for the week.

I haven't done Everett's current template, not that there's much to do there.

Oh yeah. I'll wait for confirmation first but if it is indeed increasing this week then I'll add it to the template.
For Everett I'd suggest a scanning for Kaiju action since it has Scanners 4 and a Comms Search Area for Stuff action. If we don't transfer over some of Seattle's resources and use an action of Everett's to build an augment or something there. We need to figure out what we want to shift over there Con-wise and confirm that we have Phenom garrisoned there.

We also need to figure out what to do with Ashley, whatever that entails.

note that should actually be 11 standard actions, because our environment should be going up once we're done with this fight.

Yo @Nixeu where'd you stick that draft plan? We're considering what to do in the coming downtime now.

The reason the Super Fangblades are there is obvious.
We apparently don't have any spare Jagdarium Armor plates, so I propose we build them in bulk now.
The Skadi was always part of the plan to expand to Everett, so we should build it sooner rather than later, though I wouldn't mind upgrading it a bit to reduce that 2d10-2 drift when arriving, or just increasing the Toughness stat a bit. Also, that Ramming Prow. :V
Repairs are a given as well, so there's no need to explain why they're there.
Improving Tacit's Laser Vulcans have been talked about at length, so I put them in there.
Those movement distance feet/legs for Phenom are also going to happen, for sure.
Fangs for Jagdhund are something I consider essential and we could drop an action to build the Sovereign link and install it this turn too. We just need to decide on what kind of Fang we want.

That's all I consider a priority for now. Stuff like building a Tyr is there mostly to fill space and remind us they exist.

Edit: speaking of reminders of things that exist, here's our current Inventory in Neo-Seattle.

- Research Tokens: (when spending a token, roll 2x 1d10 instead of 1d10. Bonuses apply to both rolls)
-- 2 Disposable +1 Research Bonuses (Mark Zero Superheavies, Ascalon Structural Reverse Engineering, "Sunfire" Wide-Blast Bomb)
-- Vertigaunt Token (Aggressive Camouflage or High-speed Neural Networks)
-- Grae Token (Teleportation)
-- Goryo Token (Advanced Laminate Armour or Command/Director Systems)

- Armour: 1 Conpod Plating, 2 Supercomposite Helm-I, 1 AH-2 Advanced Conpod Plating

- Weapons:
-- 1 HF-2 Fangblade, 1 IE-10 Electromagnetic Projector
-- 1 P-30 Fulgor Gauntlet, 2 Gyroscopic Stabiliser Feet
-- 420mm Jagdgewehr (no ammunition)
-- Ammunition: 16 M-99 Drum Magazines, 5 M-99 AP Magazines
- 1 Nuclear Fission Reactor (Mk I-II)
- 1 Faraday Frame set
- 2 HVMS limb mods

- Anteverse Stuff:
-- Biomechanical artillery shell (Waltz)
-- Kaiju Secondary Brain (Texas)
-- Anteverse Bio-Samples (Vulcan Grounds)

We can defer some of the cost of repairing Jagd and Tacit by recycling the damaged portions of their armor, Tacit more so than Jagd since the armor for her is mostly missing. Though... can we grab her arm and recycle that? Or is it too totaled @Fyrstorm?

Also I am pretty sure we can launch Sunfires out of a Murasame so I'm not sure your action to research a platform is useful, yet. The third conventional action could be researching supercooling for the Sutr while referencing back to all the cold Kaiju and other supercooled Kaiju we have met.

What actions do you want Everett to do?

I remember Fyr mentioning that the problem with the Sunfires was that the warhead was too big for most platforms, including the Helicopters, which is why I added that. I don't remember whether or not the Muras can fire them or not, but I'll take your word for it.

I'll keep the supercooling for the Surtrs in mind as well. Another option for the third Con action is improving the Heimdal's stats again. Maybe try for its AGI this time to see if we can get it to run? Or would it be better to stick with RAN?

I don't really think the Heimdal needs to be upgraded as much as the Surtr needs a functional cooler. I mean where are the hot heads gonna store their beer after all?

I'll see if I can go find the Sunfire stuff again so we can sort out what the issue was, besides not actually researching them.

E:
Finally in the military developments department is a brand new warhead. Why a warhead? Simple; the order was to make the biggest practical explosion possible without bringing in nuclear weapons, in order to wipe out large hordes of Cat 0s. Well, they've got most of the warhead-- but it's too damn big to fit on any of the missiles. Maybe if there was some sort of... bomber?

New Disposable +1 Research Bonus available: "Sunfire" Wide-Blast Bomb!

Bombs are a thing that is possible, and will support a large blast radius more easily than your current missiles. You are, however, going to need to make something capable of launching them-- or any really big missile, if you still want to go missiles.

Ahhhhh! It's the missile body which was the issue, besides actually designing the warhead itself.

Also there's a +1 disposable for the Ascalon Blade.

General research action, not K-tech. We tried this last turn, remember?
We tried it as a J-tech action, then they suggested that the K-tech guys might have better luck with it given it's biological construction.

From the Week 45 downtime, Part 1:
Unfortunately, the other project on J-Tech's plate does not go as well. The Ascalon Blade, while incredibly useful, is essentially one-of-a-kind, and losing it would be a great detriment. Thus, J-Tech is to try to analyze its structure and composition, so that they can at least replicate its abilities. However, the blade itself proves quite resistant to their initial attempts at non-destructively imaging its internal structure. At the most, they can say that it's built a bit like a bone-- with a hard outer layer and a softer, shock-absorbent inner layer-- though it's not all one continuous layering from tip to guard. While some of the engineers are asking to be given more time for a second attempt, others suggest that Kaiju Science might have an easier time here, considering the more biological nature of the weapon.

Edit: that is not to say we couldn't use a general action so the research gets the full Research stat bonus.

So I had a thought for our Breach research, brought on by a comment hYGP made during the start of this most recent fight, which is that the Wrecking Crew might have been heading for here to open a new Breach. Thus, I am interested in researching what conditions are best for Breach formation so that we can mark "Trouble Spots" where new Breaches might open. It would also potentially aid our own Breach use if we can figure out the particular conditions certain types of Breach (Earth to Earth, or Earth to Anteverse) prefer.

That's what the comms action is for.
Yes, this is true, but please, don't treat me like a moron by yelling at me.

I was hoping I'd get some input on how much people want to transfer from Seattle to Everett before pulling a number out of nowhere. Thus I put in those placeholder actions.

E: I'll freely admit I bungled making that desire clear, but its what I'm curious about.
