I'll say that x3 and x7 work with Strenght of Many (and Mental partition) but not swarm because it would be too much.
So if you have improved limit twice (up to 40 creatures), summon x3 and summon x7, would mean you can have 48 creatures at the same time for a 480% bonus with Strength of Many.
In the same vein, creatures that summons a swarm (like a few from SCP in the future V4) only count as one creature too.
Or speeds it up. A free reroll means we always get a second shot at being able to buy something, and quantity stacks when you have Material Extraction.
Well, not the result I was expecting, I was sure that you would vote for free reroll to increase your selection when rolling but okay Size Augmentation might be fun. And Baby summoning as a bonus.
I also want to apologize for the delay but this chapter wasn't easy to write and I'm still not completely satisfied with it, but I didn't want to sit on it for too long and I hope you like it anyway.

In the end, I didn't spend long inside the prison, Olky and I were quickly shown to a secured room near the entrance of the prison. Multiple weapon emplacements could be seen on the wall and the only door was an impressive piece of engineering with probably some tinkertech as a bonus.
Olky was instructed in where exactly he should appear and in what position, exactly in the middle of the room with the prisoner facing the door. And as soon as we appear we are to move to the back of the room leaving the prisoner alone.
That done I was guided toward an empty office with a phone that I could use to finally call the PRT. I was more than a little apprehensive, I didn't really know what to say or how to say it. With no more choice and no possibilities to delay things more, I make the call.
"This is Brockton Bay Protectorate centrale console, Miss Militia here. Who am I speaking to?"
Hearing the familiar voice of Miss Militia did me some good and I took a deep breath. "This is Compendium speaking. Code Red Whole Dove."
"It's good to hear from you. We were getting worried, we lost the GPS signal from your car a while back, we sent a team after you but they didn't find anything yet. Where are you? If you use that code it means that something has gone wrong."
"I managed to reach Ironwood Prison so the mission was technically successful but we encountered trouble on the way." She didn't respond immediately so I continued. "The PRT trooper that was my driver is dead." I could help it, my emotions got the better of me and I started to ramble. "His name was Umit. He was a nice guy, very cheerful and upbeat. I think, I mean I'll never know but I think that we could have been friends."
"Oh, no, no. I'm so sorry. You shouldn't have to go through that, not so soon. What happened?"
"Hookwolf happened. That's what."
"Damn it, no, things were going so well, I can't believe it. We took so many precautions, how did they discover the plan?." A pause. " I'm sorry I'm getting sidetracked. I'm glad you managed to escape."
"I didn't escape, I was forced to fight, and in the end I killed him. I, I didn't have any other option." I feel bad for lying but I couldn't tell the truth, not on the phone at any rate. I may end up telling the whole story to Miss Militia and Armsmaster, at some point, they would probably understand. But not now.
I could hear the hitch in her breath, followed by a long silence. "I see. That will make things more complicated. How are you dealing with it?"
"At the moment, I'm doing my best to not think about it."
"That's probably for the best at the moment. Are you coming back soon?"
"I will teleport back in a few minutes, yes. Where should I go? Directly to the HQ?"
"No, I'm sure that Armsmaster will want to speak with you before accompanying you to see the Director. Teleport to the training room and go to his office immediately."
"Understood, see you soon."
I put the phone down and the guard serving as my escort guides me and Olky toward the exit. Outside I meet up with my other partners. I briefly debated on dismissing Rainbow but I was awfully conscious of the limited amount of creatures at my disposition after this morning battle. I settle on returning Thorne to normal and turning Rainbow into its weapon shape, a pair of double-daggers that I awkwardly put into two mostly intact pockets. It was then time to go, hopefully, I would be back soon with the prisoners.
We all held hands and I nodded toward Olky. A second later we were back in the Rig's training room. Normally I would have told them to stay here, but I motioned for them to follow me, even here I wasn't very comfortable being alone. Just as we reached the corridor leading to Armsmaster's lab he came out of a door.
"Ah, Compendium you're here. Militia called and explained the situation and seeing your costume she didn't exaggerate. The Empire has gone too far this time we will need to retaliate. Follow me and give me your version of the event as we walk." He turned around and walked determinedly in the other direction.
His abruptness surprised and shocked me for a moment but I was too numb at the moment to really care so I followed along and began my retelling. I had the feeling that I would quickly get tired of recounting those events again and again. While I was talking the Menagerie triggered again, and one of my minds immediately began to analyze the new power. It was a good distraction.
That seems to be a weird one. Let's see, another transformation effect, we can summon baby versions of our creatures? Yes, that's exactly it, not sure how useful it could be, perhaps at PR events. We got a kitten, a puppy, a chick, and everything. Not very useful with bugs, but baby White is the cutest thing ever. Hum, it doesn't work on our robot, logical but with the Menagerie, a miniature Hexa wouldn't have phased me. For some weird reason Floramon baby form is a slime, don't ask me why.
While I listened to the voice in my head, and what a weird thought that was, I understood that Armsmaster was guiding me toward the helipad.
Once outside I look around, wondering why he would bring me there to talk about that clusterfuck of a mission.
The tinker hero didn't say anything at first and spoke up without turning toward me. "Thank you, that lines up with what Miss Militia reports and also with the information I could gather from the police on site. For your information, the site is secured and our own agent should reach it soon."
I was indeed glad to know that.
"As for killing Hookwolf, officially I cannot approve but unofficially I'm glad to see him gone even if it will cause problems and even if it makes the confrontation with the Empire unavoidable. I've seen the aftermath of his crimes, few will regret him even in the Empire itself. And I've fought him enough times to know how tough he was and how hard to capture he could be. It was your first real fight, you were alone, injured, and angry. I don't know if you choose to kill him, if it happens in the heat of the moment, if he didn't leave you any choice to survive, or if something else happened. No Protectorate members, no heroes, will blame you for it, particularly since you finished your assignment despite that."
He took a pause at that point. And I felt that a weight was lifted from my shoulders. But his next words put it back down.
"That said we are beholden to the PRT and they will launch an inquiry, they have no choice in the matter. But I seriously doubt anything will come of it, perhaps some token punishment just to show that they are taking this seriously and certainly some mandatory training on the correct usage of force."
If his prediction was correct, this was far less severe than what I feared. At the same time, I felt guilty that I would receive a sentence so light for killing someone. I turned my attention back to my boss.
"We have a meeting with Director Piggot in half an hour, you will let me speak and only answer questions posed directly to you."
Finally, he turned around to face me. "Before that, there is another matter we must discuss. Something else happened while you were gone and I'm convinced that you have something to do with it."
He lifted his arm and pointed at the sky. "Can you explain that?"
I look up, squint my eyes again at the light of the near noonday sun, and despite the sunlight spotted a series of points of light forming a motif in the sky. A motif that looks suspiciously like a boar standing on a sphere.
So that's how Bakugami manifest./Explain why we couldn't see him./We should have expected something like that from a being calling itself a god.
I could only facepalm. As if I didn't have enough trouble already. And to punctuate this latest development I felt a new power settle in my soul, but I would deal with it later.

I know it's been a while since the last story vote but the last one was really significant and I still haven't finished dealing with it yet. I hope you can content yourself with the Menagerie vote.
Armsmaster and Miss Militia are backing us so that will help. Most likely having to go to a use of force class, but really that should be mandatory training. As it is I think PRT and protectorate will be more concerned at the leak source since that was an ambush to kill.
[x] Power
400+ for creature rolls, less than that powers to try and clear them out to get the two remaining ones that are very important (both 200 point but clearing out 100 points makes us more likely to roll them)
As was said above, In the game they only appear when you gain each technique. But with the Menagerie, you need to summon each God as a constellation in the sky to be able to their technique. Fluff wise It's because they don't exist in those realities so need to be there for the technique to work. In practice, it's just because I love the idea of summoning a whole constellation just to use a magical technique.

Does he have to resummon the constellation every time or is it a permanent part of the sky now and the 🐗 god is happily rolling his ball thru a new universe. Seeing the sights, meeting new people, and Cherry Bombing them all? 🥳 🎆🎇
Normally Maintain Summoning is a 100 point power, but in the V4 it became a 0 point power, so I'm using the new price, easier than regaining 100 points later.
Here's the description of the various available power:
100 Trainer: You become an extremely skilled animal trainer, you can train any animal to perform any trick as long as it can physically do it, and as long as doing that trick wouldn't be harmful to it.
100 Veterinary: You become an extremely skilled veterinarian, you can diagnose and heal any malady affecting an animal as long as it's possible and you have access to the right tools.
100 Zoologist: You become an extremely skilled zoologist, your knowledge concerning animals is unparalleled.
(In the quest, all three skills also apply to all creatures gained in the Menagerie.)
So a much easier roll than last time, no matter what, we gain Maintain Summoning, and you get to choose between the following:
