[] [General] Propaganda For The Foreign Masses (0/3)
With the Glimmering Federation struggling to digest its recent mass acquisition of systems and populations, some have raised the possibility of using the Federation's more diplomatic abilities and capabilities to subvert, convert, and then integrate new systems without causing mass casualties or widespread destruction. A Propaganda office outfitted with ships, Choirs, materials, factories, and a mandate to do just that should bring foreign systems into our sphere of influence and then the Federation as a whole. It will be pricy, though.
(Gain: Allows you to slowly convert one [1] random system at a time to the Glimmering Federation without Action cost.)
Oh it went down one. That's nice. Thank god for that

Edit: I'd say we finish off the heresies. Call it cooked

[] Plan: Hitting High Notes
-[] [Voxx Primus Action]
-[] A Research or etc action that helps Voxx Primus (Maybe the Irrita first, before we do the Hive Agriculture thing)?
-[] Finally fill out Werewolf so we have two SBGs, because we were told we might need that.

[] Plan: Ships, Scouting and science
-[] [Military] Fill Out Sector Battle Group
--[] Sphinx (0/0.5)
--[] Werewolf (0/3.5)
-[] Hive Agriculture Expanded (0/2)
-[] [Psykana] Sing a Song (Choose at least Three below.)
--[] Void I, Silence I, Perception I, Technology I

As the plan name implies. This plans gets us more ships, tech for Voxx and a Song to help with scouting.

Is it time for the research write-in action? It looks like we have a lot of research on the horizon and want to try to do it as efficiently as possible.

Beyond that, I'd kind of like to get to all-X ASAP because it'll make everything better and easier.

I'm not against a new song, but it feels like, IF the purges have stopped, now's the time for the forces on Voxx Primus to go on a major expansion.

Might do that instead, because it'll set up things for better research later.

Is there anything special about Heavy Freighters that makes them worth being so much more expensive @HeroCooky ?
Yeah, they basically have no limit on the civ modules. So you can just use all of them in multiples for as long as you have the DP or are willing to risk the detriments.
So, @HeroCooky , what's the Voxx Primus news?
~500 million and in half of the planet after the purges and unrest. Massive explosion of power, people, and problems. Need aid in... all flavors of everything.

Yeah, I think my general framework for the turn is something like:
1. Action on Voxx. Nonnegotiable.
2. Research write-in. We have research to do, let's get more boosts for it.
3. Flex action. Could be shipbuilding, could be reaching out to Irrita to figure out how they could help with terraforming/food.

If we do that I'll probably do the next Irrita Omake to build out their culture a little more.

Other note: I would like to swap to the Messenger ISC this turn, and plan to polish off Civilian infrastructure XV next turn. I am especially interested in getting more ISCs to maybe help us transport people or build void infrastructure - maybe get a discount on those space stations, maybe just boost future infrastructure development. It helps us snowball. A lot.

If you want a Song to help with Scouting, you're gonna want to get the Paths Melody in as well. Also I seriously doubt that Technology would help in that

Anyways, here's my plan which is mainly focused on making sure our ships are up to modern standards. Better to do it now than wait for the next war.

[] Plan: Modernization project
-[] [Military] [Construct/Refit] A Fleet - [36 Fleet Points] [24 FP Banked)
—[] One Leo-Primus to One Leo-Class Vanguard, Twelve Libra-S/T to Twelve Libra-Q, Three Crux to Three Crux-S, and Four Taurus into Four Taurus-S in one Turn.
—[] 2x Chamleon Frigates, 2x Taurus-S Frigates, 5x Lupus-S Destroyers
-[] Irrita Food Production Aid (0/?)
-[] Send more Aid to Voxx. With news of current issues it's clear that they need more support to keep things handled.

HeroCooky said that two SBGs would be enough to ward off the Van Zandts, and even with all of our incomplete SBGs in one place, we don't quite have enough to count as that.

Irrita Food Production I think, we've mostly colonized everything that isn't a complete airless rock in our patch of space by now or otherwise insanely inhospitable for human life, which isn't any better than the Hive World honestly. That, a Voxx Primus action, and then our second SBG online before we gird our loins for the Voxx Primus Push. We'll need habitats, food production, everything.

Good lord this is a mess in the making.

[] [Voxx Primus] Now is the time to press in on support, though make sure to keep things somewhat covert. Specifically, a few things can be done that have been done partially but not fully. First, escalate the trainers present, able to train out military grade units... even if they still have to use the carefully nerfed equipment as their core, if they're better trained, better fed, and better motivated the difference will show. Second, send in some engineers from... alternate sources who have an experience in that very special brand of amusement known as "Building Technicals." Tanks and Armored Cars and more cannot be hidden, but souping up "regular" groundcars and other vehicles to be far more impressive than they look will further strengthen the "gang."
-[] Additionally send two things of great value. First, more food and more seeds, the better to have holy days and lure yet more into the arms of the growing movement. Second, hope. We cannot promise that tomorrow the revolution will begin and all will be liberated, but careful news in the ears of those locals who are leading the movement of the deeds of the Convention of 700 will make it clear that theirs is a holy crusade, backed fully by the Federation who, by now, likely have a semi-mythical reputation as a land of plenty and great learning and so on.

Something like this?

Wait, we prepared a plan for the Food and Civ Infra crisis but what about the Med?

Edit: Also remembered it might be nice to have Civ XV for that trait, you know, the one that restores the quality of our everything.

The Alternative to the Irrita Food action now would be to do this first:

-[] [Glimmering Research Publishing Institutes] The Academic Initiatives are flourishing, facilitating improvements to the efficiency of research and production. But those involved all agree that there are more opportunities that lie fallow. A collection of proposals have been made to improve the research capabilities of the Glimmering Federation by establishing publishing institutes throughout the Federation that focus on streamlining the communication and dissemination of research. Specifically, too often does critical research go unreported because of the difficulty of communication or the presence of negative results, or it is missed by researchers who aren't aware of what keywords to look for. This is in addition to the difficult of repeating difficult experiments because of vague instructions. These institutes would focus on fixing these problems by creating an integrated research reporting framework and rewarding well-demonstrated negative results just as strongly as positive results. Peer reviewers would be paid for their work, and basic science will be rewarded with prestige as strongly as exciting applied research. With these institutes, the saying "A month in the lab will save you a day in the library" will become a true joke instead of a painful reminder.

Might enhance a bunch of our Research stuff, or so on!

Yeah that's a "We need to get bigger". We are not hitting that for a long time
Or we just need to pick the automation improvement techs we got.

-[] Production Line Rationalization Programs (0/2)
(Gain: Improved industry throughput.)
-[] Sophont Workforce Requirement Reduction Considerations (0/2)
(Gain: Tiny increase in partly automated industries.)
-[] Hive Agriculture Expanded (0/2)

So... I have a plan. I doubt any of you will like this plan, but I think it's necessary to do it right now rather than later.

We need to deal with the heresies. Both of them, as soon as possible, since every turn, they grow in power and ability to cause us AP-costly troubles.
Want to do both of them at once, so that one side won't feel emboldended by destroying their enemy.
We aren't in a crisis yet, so we can focus on this problem. This will soon change, no doubt. It may as well be now or never.

Also, there are enough problems with the hive without heresies finding new recruits there...

[] Plan Get It Over With
-[] [Faith] The Great Heresies
--[] The Particularists
--[] The Anti-Particularists
-[][Voxx Primus] [Insert write-in here]

Also pretty sure time has come for our mandatory hive revolution upkeep.
