Refitting the Aries is a bad call imo. You're trading six Aries for two Aries-S with that action compared to just building four new ones. Just shuffle the older ships to less critical tasks and build new ones, that's just how service life goes for escorts.

...I don't understand? It's trading 6 Aries for 6 Aries-Secundus, as clearly stated in the action.
Refit Rates: 6 Aries to 6 Aries-Secundus per Decade.

Yes, but our bottleneck is actions. We could be using that same action to build four completely new Aries-S and still have the original six Aries, a refit basically trades those six Aries for two Aries-S
Oh, I see. That does make sense. I guess I still disagree with you mostly because I feel like the original Aries is underpowered anyway. I don't really want to have people possibly die due to being on substandard ships, so I'll eat the refit action.

In return having fewer ships opens them up to dying due to the entire formation being too weak, but in the absence of hard numbers that is of course not really something that can easily be judged. IMO it's better policy to have more hulls in service, older ships can just be deployed in less dangerous deployments.

So I was looking at the Karnivores in the rulebook and, while we arent making Chaos karnivores, they have a rule called Warpborne Stalker. So teleporting Karnivores, if we get the knowledge to build a teleporter. We could potentially mount one onto the knights allowing them to teleport around.

I dont know which I prefer more. Karnivores with rockets on their backs able to do an Armored Core or a Gundam in space, or Karnivores that can just blink in and out of existence.

Whats that? Your attacking me from range? Ho ho ho! *pop* I CAST FIST!

355.M42 - Miracles Of The Mundane
Though it took several decades, the closing days of 355.M42 saw the hollowed-out mountains on Ixxus and Drixxus finally filled with the finishing pieces of machinery held back for quality concerns, these great behemoths of industry and warfare soon thrumming with molten metals and circuits printed unto surfaces far too small for any human eye to behold, miracles of the mundane etched unto the fabric of reality with every limb and weapon assembled and prepared to be taken into custody by an Order of Knight who had yet to begin practicing within their frames and armors.

But while the giant assemblies underneath a hollowed-out mountain on Ixxus stamp mundane metals into heralds of the Emperor-and-Omnissiah, another assembly gathered within, one of engineseers and clergy, knight-pilots and those who fight daily against the reach of the Ruinous Powers within the fabric of the Glimmering Federation. This assembly did not have any sinister purpose in mind, quite the opposite, for they knew through talks and interference with Chapter Master Chyron and records of words from Teeln, Prophet of the Star Child, of the risk of a Sympathetic Call from the Karnivores of the Ruinous Powers to those of the Star Child.

In response, they gathered in their multitudes, those who held the power to prevent such a thing, to discuss and potentially inscribe changes unto the appearance of the Karnivores before the first was finished to shield these holy machines from malignant influences, changes to head and body both...though some argued for one or both to not be changed, the risk to upset the Machine Spirits within too great when they had already been confirmed to thirst for justice to make good what their corrupted cousins had wrought.

In the end, it was agreed to:
