Like wasnt Rift made and him woke up over 2000 years ago in quest? And he didnt yet reach our part of space commanding Imperium? Yvraine didnt yet gather enought Souls/Power to wage final war of Eldar upon Slannesh?
Or is there such mess in galaxy with Daemon Primarchs getting active, Necrons waking up, Tyranid fleets arriving that even Gulliman over those 2000 years couldnt actualy reform Imperium into better form to start clawing back from it rotten state and instead spend all this time racing all over his side of Great Rift putting out fires just to have new ones to apear demanding his attention?
Also, for some more random questions for Cooky besides "when do Dev levels double in cost again"
How're the Msk'fa and Dirut looking for entering Kin status? It's been awhile and obviously they're pretty well integrated if they can introduce psytech designs (Gramophone) or Faith Weaponry (Time skip missiles).
Also, can we just bypass the Republic of Asharru to investigate whatever the fuck Voidless Gaze is, or are we gonna have to deal with them first? It's been bugging me for a couple of months lmao

The birth of a Dreadnought is no small matter. It is, in fact, a very big matter. On account of said Dreadnought being expected to out-weigh the largest Battleships of the Federation by a factor of 2 at the least. Yet, beyond that, each Dreadnought is unique, for it is only constrained by the effort a nation is willing to put into the ship that it may feel better spent creating many, smaller, ships instead of one large ship.
The limit was the will of its creators. Nothing less.

Nope. You are paying full price for those weapons unless one of your Traits or your Doctrine interjects itselfs.

The diameter of the moon is 2,159 km. Easy enough for the length, but the width is five times as expensive. Still, for... 12,954 DP, or about 20 actions worth, we could solidly outdo the Death Star by making a ship that's actually the size of a moon.
It's extremely expensive, but there's similarly no limit to acceleration, either. For the cost of 5,000 BP, or about 7.69 actions, we could give this ship 10gs of acceleration. (And paint it red, of course.)
Honestly, I'd favor two additional design actions for this baby.
Acceleration shouldn't be below 1G at a minimum, which costs 500 DP (and gods, imagine a dreadnought that's faster than that and how it would completely reshape any given battlefield).
Shield and armor shouldn't be below class 25 each (costing 1000 DP together), and frankly I'd favor 30 (costing 1200 DP).
We probably shouldn't spend less than 200 DP on Length and Width.
And that leaves weapons and equipment!
So yeah, two design actions strikes me as preferrable. I could be talked into three.

Puts the sheer threat level of The Beast that was throwing around multiple Attack Moons against the Imperium into perspective huh.
Admittedly he made them from actual moons, but the sheer amount of effort it took to do that speaks volumes on how dangerous he got.
