So what we really only need to do is drop 2 research action and that'll clean up our entire suite, 2 for Anti-Psychics, 1 for Psyker Hoods, and 1 for Null Thoughts. So 2 invested, which generates 2.6, lmfao.

Bluh, really? That sucks, I don't recall that in the text, but if it's word of QM I'll readjust.

How does that work with Anti-Warp Corruption Sigils then? We already had Works Generational on this turn so it should've already been 8 Action Cost, so...

I guess that's the issue with Null Thoughts too? It was 0/50, so it should've been 0/34...?

Or I guess it only applies when we actually physically apply actions to it? Dunno, weird. I guess it doesn't really matter.

Null Thoughts requires 17 actions, now it's... 11.33 repeating, which I suppose rounds up to 12. Frankly, that's super achievable with a big research push, and we should REALLY consider it before epilogue.

And I guess that's that? Oh well, that's unfortunate.

Anyways, I'm scared of big psychic turns after the chaos roll so yeah, I'd prefer to just finish our dreadnought without having funny chaos shit in the wings.

@Neablis, how much does an all-research turn with Cry on generate now that bonuses are 1.3?

Edit: I think this is achievable in a 2 turn set of mixed psykana + research turn

Like uh, wait until things reach Restive (or Low if we want to gamble with Symphonies) again, so we flip on Cry + spend another action on Psykana which is 5 total actions. That generates a Cry + .25

One remaining action is Research, that + 1.25 cry (cry rounds up, so that's 3 actions) gets 6.9 progress. There might be some more Cry stuff in play, but like

2 turns of 5 Psykana + some research dumping seems fairly attractive when it means GETTING NULL THOUGHTS BEFORE EPILOGUE LMAO

Correct, but then again we kind of forgot that we have literally 0 reason not to keep it running for centuries now - it's only 50 Choirs: Just turn it on and never turn it back off?

So like have the auto-tickers apply to that instead, and the penalty when letting go will become irrelevant.

@Neablis Do you mind adding Unto Works Generational as a Choir default from now on, since it's a free reduction in Action Count for large actions, and the autotickers apply to said reduced action?

If you can keep this thread from goldfishing, go ahead lmao. It's a little less than 40, although it depends on when the next Development Cost doubles (need @HeroCooky for this). With Cry, we "only" get 7 non-Research General Actions per turn, so it would be 5 turns of dedicated pushing (and depending on how hard it is to coordinate, multiple other days of updates for milestone perks).

Ultimately, if we can go for it, we should go for it — there's other General Actions we should go for too like Smeared Soul and ISC access for the Councils, but compare that to 2 turns of getting a lot of Psykana and Null Thoughts done with no miniturn updates is like, basically incomparable for efficiency. And frankly it's not really incompatible either with the eventual dev grind — I really want to get either Military or Heavy Industry XX before epilogue, the XV perks were nuts. Yggdrasil Worlds haunts me too.

Null Thoughts, to my understanding, is the capstone of the Aethyrmetric Line, or near to it. Van Zandt was bringing its A Game to the tech trade. That's comparable to our Necron tech rush. If we have the chance, we should definitely grab it.

Do we really want to skip Grand Design, which would guarantee best possible result for things Like boosting our Choirs?
