To handle chaos you need a way to stop passive corruption (we got that already)

A way to stop nurgle from raising the dead

Ways to keep health up (we already slow infection with placebo but we need ato actively improve it)

And way to weaken/damage them over time

I'd say our war songs should be less Exterminatus/Hero Killer and more general fleet/army-wide buffs, just taken to the extreme. Found some Songs I think might be multipurpose and useful enough for pretty much any sort of military engagement.

Forward As One United, Undivided, Unrepentant - Struggle, Progress, Compassion, Unity
Hopefully, this will act as a general buff to morale and coordination, standing steadfast and working together against our enemies.

A Burning Sword Against The Foe - Fire, Death, Justice, Struggle
A general-purpose damage buff, might also help against Warp-fuckery targets, not entirely sure if this is the best song for what I have in mind.

Hands That Heal - Mercy, Compassion, Health
A healing song for obvious reasons, this was also the most widespread and useful one I could find, but I have a feeling something more specific would do better.

Every Hand Counts - Grounding, Humanity, Compassion, Logic, Progression
Couldn't really find a Song specifically meant for protecting our people, only one that protects us from "horrors", which only applies to a few specific things. The idea here will be that every individual soldier gets some measure of protection or luck to keep them safe in battle.

Helpless, Burning, Faltering Resistance Snuffed Out - Grounding Fire Struggle Grounding Death
And lastly, a debuff for our enemies, not sure how it would work exactly but always handy to have.

As always, if anyone has better suggestions or recommendations for war songs, I'd very much appreciate them.

No, this doesn't work I think. I don't think you have enough military actions, With our current bonus setup 1 military action turns into 2 military actions, but 2 military actions turns into 5 military actions.
Your plan:
Action 1: Cry for the Future
Class is in Session Action: Melodies.
Cry for the Future action 1: Sing Songs
You get another Class is in Session action here: Maybe more Songs.
Action 2: Choir Warfare Clause
Action 3: Watchtower Military Alliance
Mechadendrite action: Colonize.
Cry for the Future action 2: Military - here is where it all breaks down. The military actions don't fit in.

However, I think you've stumbled into an interesting setup here. This is a valid plan setup:
Action 1: Cry for the Future
Class is in Session Action: Melodies.
Action 2: Fleet Construction
Action 3: Fleet Construction
Agenda Action: Fleet Construction/whatever
Heartbeat of Industry Action: Fleet Construction/whatever
Agenda Action 2: Send fleets against the Khornates.
Cry for the Future action 1: Sing Songs (could also be a research action)
Second Class is in Session Action: Maybe more Songs.
Cry for the Future action 2: Watchtower Military Alliance
Cry for the Future action 3: Choir Warfare Clause
Mechadendrite action: Colonize (or any other general action)

We get our additional bonus actions through Class is in Session, the Agenda, Heartbeat of Industry and Mechadendirte to unlock the third cry for the Future action. So we would get 12 actions this turn. Wow.

I think this approaches the limits of math fuckery. Truly closer than anyone ought to like

as long we spend it on narrative stuff (aka kicking nurgle teeths in) it should be fine

im sure if we try to touch dev or research with more than 1 or 2 AP cooky is gonna kick our ass so hard that the foot will come out the other way and leave our mouth tasting like shoe sole

Instead of the second song action we could also put a research action there - get
-[] Warcasket Improvements (0/2)
or
-[] New Generation Ground Vehicles (0/1) & -[] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II (0/1)

or something. All valid templates.

I'm going to think about this for a bit. Things that need to be decided:
1. Songs/Melodies we want to sing, given either 1 or 3 actions towards it.
2. If we only do one psykana action, then we get 2 research actions. What techs to take? I like the idea of warcasket improvements.
3. If we have 5 miltiary actions and are spending 1 of them on fighting Khorne, what do we spend the rest on? 2 on a new armada, 2 on escorts? 2 on an armada, one on updating current SBGs, one on getting the Nomadic fleets up to snuff? That's one action that gets us 5 battleships next turn which dramatically increase our support capabilities for deep strikes.
4. How many Hercs do we put in the next Flag Armada? 2?

Soliciting input

2 on a new armada because we are going to need to create a second fleet for campaign against the Slaanesh forces in support of the Mashan and the Shipwrights.

Ideally we'll build up another Flag Armada on top of the other two later so that each of the Cults can be faced by a fleet headed by a Flag Armada.

This is a multi-front war. We can't doomstack our way to victory as we are now.

So, 2 on new Flag Armada, 1 on both updating SBGs plus building 4 more, and another to the Nomad fleets since our campaigns will be so reliant on them.

I also want to reflect on what's letting us do all of this. And that's our insane number of Choirs. We plowed a ton of effort into building up a good choir training program, mostly centered in Holy Irridanus, and then beefed it the hell up before the Warp Storm. Now, a century later, we're reaping the reward. And that's hundreds and hundreds of choirs that let us sing every single action-boosting song at once, while sending a hundred off here and there to beatstick our enemies.

--[] BURN THE END OF MISERY - FIRE III, STRUGGLE III, SONG III, DEATH III, HOPE III
I'd prefer this song instead:

Burn Out The Festering Growths - Health, Fire, Hope, Protection, Song

Anyways, we have two fronts we need to send ships to, to the Nurgle Cult and the Khornate Cult, and let's remember we have over a dozen Nomadic Fleets at our disposal so let's get ready to use them.

Yeah, that was super, super cool to see. I'm definitely glad I suggested shaking loose a hundred to help out the Duchy — we definitely got some brownie points there and I'm excited to see those relations continue to normalize. Seeing 100
choirs sing a Level 3 Promethean Gaze wasn't what I was expecting, but definitely cool and kind of did I was intending, haha…

I don't know if we have enough Songs to do that yet, but given how powerful one war Song was, an entire war Symphony would be well worth the effort.
Well, I designed a war symphony a while back. I wonder what it does. This one:
The Symphony of the Long War (military/military production focus).
1. Break Your Chains – "For my soul sees freely, and I shall die freely." – A statement of purpose, for the reason to go to war.
2. Heartbeat of Industry – "By these machines they are elevated from prey to predators" – The military-industrial machine that powers the war effort.
2. Unto Works Generational – "Generations upon generations toiling" – The war drags on, each generation shouldering its burden.
3. The Devouring Mechadendrite – "Sing of the labors we will undertake" – The ceaseless work to maintain the war machine.
5. A Glint of Genius – "A singular moment of inspiration" – Even in war, moments of brilliance can win the fight and bring the slaughter to a close.

Here are some other ones using our newer songs. I like the last one the most by far.
The Symphony of Steel and Fury (More focused on military equipment, and the triumph of steel over sorcery)
1. Heartbeat of Industry - "There is no heart that beats with more blood for humanity than its Military Industry." - Sets the tone with a celebration of industry powering the war, framing the fleet as an unyielding machine.
2. The Devouring Mechadendrite - "Industry must expand to meet the ever-increasing demands of industry." - The urgency to maintain production and build strength, fueling the momentum of battle.
3. Bound to the Stars - "So we can burn our story into the Stars Themselves!" - A declaration that their battle is essential to win, so that the Federation can continue to exist and spread across the Galaxy.
4. Break Your Chains - "Break the chains that bound us, strike with arms free and hale." - Expresses defiance, a will to be unshackled from any constraint, and a rallying cry for freedom in victory.
5. Foretold Luminous Paths Seen - "Fate lies."- A powerful ending that defies destiny, asserting that their triumph will be achieved by grit, not fortune or sorcery.

A Symphony Forged of Fire and Fury (more focused on the grit, brilliance and perseverance of soldiers in the face of war).
1. A Glint of Genius - "A singular moment of inspiration." - Introduces the theme of inventive tactics and brilliance as weapons in the fight, framing victory as born from flashes of insight.
2. Paths Without Treason - "When I fly I feel so divine." - Captures the exhilaration of battle, and the sense of purpose and destiny guiding each warrior.
3. Unto Works Generational - "Generations upon generations toiling with only one promise." - Honors the ancestors who have prepared them for this fight, creating a duty to carry forward their legacy.
4. Promethean Gaze - "Is never the end." - Establishes the relentlessness of the campaign, with warriors pushing past all setbacks and limits to achieve victory.
5. Dirge for the Innocent - "Don't cry bitter tears for me." - A solemn close that acknowledges the sacrifices made, consecrating their battle as a gift to future generations.

The Symphony of Sacred Wrath (Doing our best to call upon the Holy Power of the star child in War Against Chaos)
1. Dutiful Spirits - "Five-Fold is our number." - A sacred callout to the Star Child, representing unity and dedication as a moral force in the war effort.
2. Hiss of the Steam Valves - "The music born by industry sighing freely." - The continual function of the engine of war—a harmony of soldiers, machines, and industry moving as one, unburdened by the touch of Chaos.
3. See No Evil, Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil, Do No Evil - "The greatest of all Commandments." - Emphasizes purity of purpose in their war, a refusal to be tainted by fear or doubt or corruption as they advance against the enemy.
4. Promethean Gaze - "End Is Never The End." - The End of one Soldier is not the end of the war, with all pushing forward to burn the enemy in purifying fire.
5. Foretold Luminous Paths Seen - "Those who rely on Fate will always find one Truth in the end." - Ends with a a defiance of Fate, a declaration that we will write our own fate, and those who rely on forces beyond themselves will fall before us.

So yeah. We could sing one of these. The last one seems... good. Against Chaos in particular.

If we do end up taking a Colonize action, we should go for Gulf's Edge over Chery. The Shipwright's Grove moved closer to it again this turn, and we want them to take it. They're our best friends, it's not like this is a rival taking it. Besides, there's no lack of room in that direction.
