Spyro's Kingdom (Legend of Spyro Crossover)

So if we fail badly enough on Aether rolls we will become the next Malefor?
At this point you would need a chain of natural 1s. It's not very likely at all and there will be ways out of it.

I will not end this quest if that happens though. It would just... shift a little bit. I should warn you all, that I like fall from grace and corruption stories. Not likely to happen to Spyro himself, just be prepared to see that theme elsewhere in the quest.

This is why spyro, cynder, and the guardians need bodyguards/helpers, to slap the evil out of them if they start dripping with it.

Ooh, now I'm intrigued. Quick everyone! Use your omake bonuses to turn Spyro into Malefor!

The Fire Guard: Inferni
@Nianque: Okay, "Electric Rain" actually sounds terrifying and I love it. Which reminds me... I know Zap would be a Water Expert, but I'm unsure of his Electricity Rank.

Is him being an Electricity Expert as well acceptable? Would justify him being able to perform potent Electricity + Water moves, and even how he could create a brand new Element (which I'm mostly just seeing as Liquid Lightning).

More for curiosity's sake, but are Element Users able to tap into their exotic facets regardless of Rank- and it is just Master & Higher where one could achieve anything meaningful?

Cause I'm thinking Zap uses his Electricity Element to exert finer control of his Water Element. Thus despite being Expert Rank, he can manage faster/stronger/tougher Water moves by using Electricity's ability to manipulate objects.

The Fire Guard: Inferni
The past week has been productive for Dawn, even though she hadn't found any candidates that really intrigued her. Though she forwarded information on the more interesting ones to what recruiters remained in Warfang.

Still, that isn't to say she found no candidates, in fact she had been making preparations to visit the Electricity and Poison Nexuses. Between tales of an Electric Dragon fisher and some Nexus-exploring whelp, Dawn knew she needed to meet them.

Yet, as she began readying her supplies for heading out, Dawn... could feel the shadows calling to her. Not with words, exactly, but... Someone had been spying on her and now made that fact incredibly clear to her.

Tracing the source outside, she heard a voice whisper from her shadow. "I have a candidate for you, keep following." Dawn didn't know who the voice belonged to, yet... "Do they work for Umbra? No other Shadow Dragons should be this bold..."

Ultimately it didn't take too long, with Dawn finding herself at a public training facility for Dragons. Stepping inside, Dawn immediately detected only a few other dragons- one of whom seemed to notice her in turn.

"So, you're willing to hear me out?" Once again her shadow 'spoke', confirming her suspicion of who her guide was. Heading towards the Shadow Dragon who noticed her, Dawn saw a curious sight.

Before her was a Dragon whose body was emitting smoke, yet seemed unharmed. Just off to the side was a Shadow Dragon, one noticeably older than the both of them.

"Keep working on your Shroud, I have to do something Inferni." The Fire Dragoness letting out a cheerful grunt, she doesn't pay attention as the older Shadow Dragon approaches Dawn.

Dawn, though, was curious what Inferni planned to do. Watching the other Dragoness' form become obscured by billowing smoke, Dawn could no longer identify Inferni's exact appearance.

Then, as Inferni jumped backwards, the cloud of smoke resembled a vague doppelganger- though it doesn't maintain cohesion for very long. "Curious, but why would a Fire Dragon need a double?"

"Inferni's not a typical Fire Dragon, I assure you. Raised her myself after all." Shifting her gaze from Inferni, Dawn looked up at the older Shadow Dragon. He seems so serious, yet... there's clearly a hint of pride.

"Oh? Do you think Clarity only cares about unconventional choices?" That causes the older Dragon to chuckle some, before gesturing towards Inferni. Seeing the Dragoness repeating her smoke double trick in rapid succession, Dawn couldn't deny being intrigued.

"Bodyguards should be more than just brute strength, they should have techniques that'll improve their charges' odds of survival. Inferni, work on your Bombs now!"

Inferni letting out an excited "Yeah!", fire swirls around her mouth and a sphere of flame flies forth impacting the wall- only to burst into a cloud of smoke.

"Hmm, that would be useful for blinding enemies. Though... did you convince her to pursue this route? Generating smoke isn't exactly a common technique, yet she's clearly been doing this for a while."

Watching as Inferni flies up and spins, she promptly rains down several of her smoke-bombs. The room being obscured by a rather large amount of smoke, Inferni chuckles excitedly-

Only for the older Shadow Dragon to flap his wings mightily, disrupting the large cloud of smoke. "Keep working on cohesion, Inferni! Just producing more won't let you beat Smoke wielders!"

Intrigued, Dawn couldn't help asking. "Smoke wielders? You make it sound like a real Element." Dawn doesn't know why, but saying that caused the older Dragon to look even more serious.

"Surely you know of the portal to Gielinor? Smoke is a real Element there, and it is some nasty work. Think of it as the evil child of Fire, Wind, and Poison."

That thought alone made Dawn want to shudder, though she mostly stayed collected. Still... watching as Inferni worked on short-range bursts of embers and smoke, Dawn came to a realization.

"You're wanting her to become a bodyguard, so she can receive training in more martial uses. Hmm... may I talk to Inferni myself? I'd prefer she knew what was going on."

Getting a simple nod from the older Dragon, he calls out quickly. "Inferni, got someone you need to talk to!" Watching her current attempt at a smoke blast collapse prematurely, she has a friendly smile as she spots Dawn.

Inferni practically zooming up to Dawn, the Shadow Dragoness had to back up a little. "Hi, I'm Inferni! Did Noir have you watch me just then? Wait, how much did you see!? Oh, oh, what about my Smoke Afterimages!?"

The older dragon, Noir, loudly grunts and that causes Inferni to look embarrassed some. "Right, sorry... Ahem, what did you want to talk about? I've gotten quite proficient, even though there's few Dragons to compare me to..."

Dawn didn't doubt Inferni's skill, so that wasn't in question. Rather... "Why exactly do you train? One doesn't push their Element in unconventional ways out of boredom, so is it about power?"

That causes a confused expression on Inferni's face, like she didn't expect that question at all. Still, the Fire Dragon makes a thoughtful expression as she takes a seat.

Finally, after a few moments, Inferni jumps up excitedly. "To protect others, of course! I've been training for about ten years now, all so I can fight off the bad guys! If I can use something, I'll learn how so I can protect others even better!"

"Huh... not so different from Dyno then." Dawn looking at Inferni, the other Dragon just continues smiling excitedly. Though Dawn is sure there's a story not being told...

"Then would you be interested in the new guard program Clarity is starting? We could use someone driven and devoted like you." Inferni's smile somehow becomes even more excited, though she suddenly stops as she glances over at Noir-

Yet the older Shadow Dragon simply gives a nod of approval. Thus, Inferni bounces in excitement, as she happily proclaims "Yes, I'll join!!" With how this turned out, Dawn was rather pleased she didn't ignore Noir.

----
I feel like inFamous Second Son's Smoke Power-Set would make for a good reference, regarding (future) techniques. Though some elaboration on Inferni...

Given she's barely able to manipulate her smoke after generation, I hope her ability to rapid-use her smoke techniques isn't an issue. Like, she isn't generating a lot of smoke in one go after all.

Though with Noir's influence, I do see her having focused a lot on perfecting her smoke techniques rather than general Fire progression. Nonetheless, Inferni seems like the type that would strive for Grandmaster one day.

Skilled is much more realistic. Being Expert in two elements when you are not a purple dragon takes a long time as they interfere with each other.

It depends on the facet. Things like sun, moon, and solids are much harder to learn than say smoke, crystals, and disease. Though generally yes. They would be very specialized though and not be nearly as good with the rest of the element.
The Fire Guard: Inferni
I like it! Keep in mind though that trying to fight powerful Smoke manipulators with Fire's smoke will not end well unless there is a sizeable difference in skill.

@Nianque: Yeah, I was thinking Skilled for Electricity, Expert was just because I figured it justified cool Electricity + Water tricks more. Though I guess Liquid Lightning would make up for that, once he creates it...

Regarding Inferni, she & Noir know it won't be that easy. Like, mostly intellectually for Inferni since she's never seen any Smoke Users. Overall, the idea is that Noir wanted Avalar to have some specialized counter.

That, and I really wanted the Fire Guard to throw around smoke-bombs. Just the whole "Noir convinced Inferni to" option seemed the easiest to explain why she was even messing with the smoke facet.

Ooh, now I'm intrigued. Quick everyone! Use your omake bonuses to turn Spyro into Malefor!
I see nothing wrong here...

Seriously though, if you guys want that kind of thing let me know and I can make it happen. Either through a spin-off quest (which will effect update speeds for this) or through making low aether rolls far more disasterous. One of the main goals of the it would be turning his friends evil before they can get through to him and break the corruption.

Also. Meant to get the rumor mill up last night, but I was... distracted. As I'll be on vacation next week, the goal is to get the next turn up before that and use my free time that week to just write interludes if I find the time.

Just for the record, I don't want to be an evil Spyro, even if we got a nat 1 on an aether roll, because IMO really bad things should happen because the players screwed up or didn't prepare enough for something, not because we got a really bad roll.

It wouldn't just be a bad roll that causes something like that. There'll be choices involved too. Just be aware that playing with aether is how Malefor got corrupted.

With how much support Spyro has, just about everything would have to go wrong. His bond with Cynder will also keep the two of the ssfer than they otherwise would be.

@Nianque: So the Fear Guard (Nim?) is my next omake, though I wanted to go over the basic premise first. I was thinking she's a chance encounter for Dawn, with Dawn having came across her family while traveling.

Specifically, Dawn takes note of how they're all Wind Dragons except for Nim. It is her questioning of Nim's Element that results in Nim demonstrating her abilities as a "Dream" Dragon.

I figure Nim is the second-youngest of the Guards, so I was thinking her regular interaction with Blackout allowed her to develop her abilities earlier than normal.

Though more importantly, I wanted to know what skill level would be reasonable. Being Master Rank and learned alongside Blackout (who similarly is oblivious he can cause fear), I imagined Nim being unusually skilled at the exotic stuff- with the trade-off her being unusually bad at normal Fear stuff for her rank.

Mainly though, my ideas for her demonstrating her abilities involve her crafting "daydreams" (illusions), so knowing how far I can go with that is really helpful.

Oh right, regarding Dyno & Inferni: I wanted to know if you have any particular plans for them? Like, are the Guards being intentionally paired with their matching Guardian, or is it more about personality & capability?

are the Guards being intentionally paired with their matching Guardian, or is it more about personality & capability
Just my personal opinion, but I think that pairing them by element would make the entire action pointless. The Guardians are grandmasters of their elements, if there's a danger they can't defend themselves against, it's unlikely that another dragon of the same element could protect them, however atypical their techniques are.

I'd suggest to look at what actions we are likely to assign each Guardian to and what problems might arise during them.

As an example, Volteer needs someone with quick reflexes that can either shield him or drag him away if one of his experiments explodes.

Pyra and Argent will probably be sent into combat and need a counter to wielders of their elemental weaknesses.

Zephyr (and Ventis) are most at risk if a diplomatic mission goes sour, in which case Inferni would be perfect to enable them to escape unharmed - her smoke tricks would even synergize with wind.

Turn 14 Rumor Mill
Rumor Mill

Avalar

Commander of Warfang Recruiting Bodyguards!: Early this year, the Kingdom's commander, Clarity announced that she is looking for dedicated body-guards of each element for a special assignment. Given the formation of the kingdom and what is known about the two portals that have sprung up, it seems likely that these guards will be for protecting foreign officials or the kingdom's diplomats. Already there is speculation about the kingdom's next alliance and many speculate it will be one of the numerous factions on Gielinor whom the king will be entering talks with. Many however hope that one of the newly discovered peoples of 'Hyrule' will be courted as allies to ensure that the kingdom has a source of information regarding the still mysterious land.
Not quite. Not if only we would train several more bodyguards for the royal family and other officials.

Turmoil in Reliquia: The councilors of our fair city seem to have almost came to blows this year. Nobody seems sure of the exact reason for why it happened, but rumors say that Councillors Incindous and Galvan were injured. Councilor Taiga seemed more pleased than usual, while Councilor Gaia was merely exasperated. None of the Councillors seem keen on sharing the details of what the argument was about, but it seems safe to assume that whatever it was, Councilor Taiga was the winner. It is unsure whether or not this is related to the flurry of reforms that now grip the city as the councilors begin emulating Warfang with the construction of a school. Many are unsure about doing away with the tried and true apprenticeship program and more than once Councilor Taiga has had to explain the possible benefits of this decision.
Reward: +1 Realm education.

Chief Prowlus Bests Persus:
It is well known that Persus wants Chief Prowlus' spot as leader of the most prestigious tribe and this year he made his move. In a move that everybody was waiting for, Persus challenged Chief Prowlus for leadership of the tribe and discovered why Chief Prowlus was respected even among the other races. The duel between the two was fierce, but Chief Prowlus showed his challenger that he still had several years left yet and left the younger cheetah struggling to keep up with his masterful sword skills. As a result of this duel, the entirety of the tribe has atlast united fully behind Chief Prowlus. If Persus wants to still be chief, he will have to try again at a later date.
Still recommend investigating both Prowlus and Persus. We need to build a solid profile on the other rulers of the kingdom.

Construction of the Undercity Begins: Overseer Forticus has at the wishes of his foremen, began the reconstruction of the Undercity. This will be a truly massive project due to the sheer damage that the under-city has suffered and will likely take several years before it becomes habitable. Those crews who are not involved in the designing and construction of superior siege weapons have began the tedious process of planning how to go about repairing the undercity and in particular the massive chasms that make it so treacherous.
This is going to be a truly massive undertaking for them.

Matriarch Pavlan Gives Birth to Twins: Our matriarch gave birth to twin girls this year and despite the double-birth is in good health. Many regard this is a potent omen of good fortune and it has solidified the matriarch's decision to join the new kingdom of Avalar. As is custom, names for the twins will be decided upon their first birthday, though the matriarch has stated that she has several names that she is considering at the moment. Congratulations have arrived from all over the kingdom and many in the herd are surprised at the massive show of support from those who had never met a centaur before.

Golden Age for the Nohar: Thanks to the peace that dominates this land, the zu'uk have entered an era of prosperity unlike any other. Births are at an all time high and many of the zu'uk's most promising crafters and enchanters have taken on apprentices. Thanks to the trades with the dragons of Warfang, the island is filled with new enchanting and wind techniques, with both dragons and aviansie collaborating on new research. In particular Kahkan Tsa'ar has expressed her wish to gather the most talented wind manipulators among the zu'uk and make a pilgrimage to the much storied Wind Nexus. It is her hope that the dragons' new Wind Guardian will be able to accompany them, so that they can learn more about the element.
It is good to see the aviansie are settling down well. Hopefully Ventis can persuade them to join formally join the kingdom.

Gielinor

Te'ketel Zu'uk Decimated!: The Te'ketel zu'uk was taken by surprise this year as a Bandosian raiding party somehow found their way to the zu'uk's island. Details are still sparse on how exactly the raid was managed, but the Te'ketel have been dealt a grievous wound. Among the casualties are a great many of the zu'uk's specialists including a prominent enchanter and several noteworthy smiths. Most unfortunate of all are a great many of Te'ketel's eggs have disappeared and it is likely that the raiders smashed as many of them as they could find.

Kharidian Desert Runs Red With Blood: The foul traitors of the Chaos God have once more clashed against our radiant armies. Pharoah Amennot and the blessed Najimas led our brave warriors forward under the light of Tumuken's sun to reclaim Uzer. They were met by the foul demon Thammaron and the twice-traitor Bilrach whose forces met defended the fallen city. Despite Pharoah Amennot's valiant leadership and Najimas' glorious might, the foul demons that held the city used their dark magicks to outlast the shining army of Menaphos' most valiant. It is thanks to Najimas' prowess that the army was able to fall back, though the Stern Judge has been forced to recover from his grand battle against the traitor Blirach.
In summary: The Kharidians launched a failed assault and suffered for it.

Legatus Orcus Turns Aside Assault on Lassar: The traitors have once again sought to batter down the walls of our stalwart cities and have once more been repelled. Legatus Orcus led the defense, guiding the defenders of the city against the forces that the traitor Lucien could bring to bare. The battle between our cthonian legatus against the betrayer mahjarrat shall ever stand as a sharp reminder that there are other beings who can equal them in combat. Though Legatus Orcus failed to kill Lucien, it must be reminded that mahjarrat are skilled in escaping from any who are not their kin. Thus our holy regent Azzanadra has ordered the praetors to track down and kill the weakened traitor.

Meeting of the People Held in Rellekka: Though our god V has failed to return from his voyage to the stars, the chief of Rellekka has managed to ease the tensions between provinces regardless. Despite the chants for the destruction of the Lunar Isle and the blasphemous mages that reside there, a meeting between all the rulers was called. Though some of the smaller villages were absent, the leaders of the major provinces were in attendance. Shortly afterward, all five of the rulers signed an agreement to once more put aside their differences and focus on the outsiders who are ignorant of our honorable ways. Not all Fremennik agreed with this decision and already there are rumors of a host being assembled to smash aside the blasphemous magicks of the Lunar Isle and put the mages to the axe.

Mahjarrat Khazard Smashes Bandosian fort: The powerful Khazard shows his military genius once more by effortlessly turning aside a powerful Bandosian army sent to kill him. Once more the mahjarrat shows his might as not only did he repel the assault, he led an assault on the fort whence it came and captured it in a brilliant display of tactical skill. With this fort captured and the encroaching aviansie, the battles for Western Kandarin begin in earnest. With the might of our lord Zamorak on his side, General Khazard cannot fail! Strength through chaos!
Northern Kandarin seems secure for now, however the battles for the rest of the continent have only just begun.

Expert rank with a specialization in dreams sounds more reasonable. Basically master-level in dreams and illusions and novice-skilled in everything else.

Mmm... It depends on the situation. If the Guardian in question is visiting their nexus, then the only one who can safely join them is the guard of that element. On the other hand Nachtigall has the right of it that the Guardians will be doing vastly different things which will effect it as well. They'll probably spend most of their time with the Guardian of the same element and picking up quite a few tricks from the Guardian in question. At least until something is happening then they would switch it up. All of the guards will be familiar with all of the Guardians pretty much.

Hmm, a different question on the guards and Guardians, but could we have all of them start picking apprentices? Considering the time it takes to train new ones having what would effectively be spares sounds like a good idea, and they would likely double as guards even if that wasn't their primary purpose. Besides, it'd likely work to get us an extra set of master tier dragons in the future for deployment if needed.

Honestly just getting master tier dragons faster for use wherever sounds pretty good, especially since pretty much by definition they'd be ones likely to remain both good and loyal in the future and could be trusted with the power(as they wouldn't be trained otherwise.)

Not right now. Of the Guardians only Cyril and Volteer are actually at the point where they can take apprentices. The others are just too new and still figuring things out. There will however be an action to bring back the whole 'Dragon Temple raising eggs' thing. Before the war the Guardians were pretty much just monks who studied their element and helped take care of the numerous eggs and acolytes that called the temple home. Now that the last of the New Guardians are finishing their training soon, Pyra and Cyril have been pushing for a return to that system. Of course the downside of it is that a successful raid on the temple is disasterous as you have a dozen+ eggs all in one spot. This is part of the reason why Gaul's raid was such a big deal. a dozen eggs were smashed and most of the acolytes and apprentices who called the temple home were slaughtered. The survivors of that raid were pretty much just Ignitus, Pyra, Cyril, Volteer, and Terrador along with maybe one or two more.

Nice.

So what would be the benefit for doing this?

taking in eggs of families that are wiped out by a disaster or noble plotting might be a morally good thing.
The world is dangerous, and unless there is a foster system set up, someone has to care for the eggs.

But it might nice that they are getting guardian apprentices outside of the temple. Going out and finding unique dragons is good.

The Fear Guard: Nim
@Nianque: Well, might as well write out Nim's omake now.

----

The Fear Guard: Nim
Shifting through the shadows wherever she isn't just flying, Dawn had set out from Warfang on her own. Spending so long overhearing others from the shadows, Dawn finds it relaxing to have only herself to worry about.

Still, she rather not be alone longer than necessary, and thus Dawn wastes no time for scenic routes or simple leisure. Currently she is heading to her first candidate, a fisher who is either an Electric or Water Dragon.

Yet focused as she is, Dawn noticed as she detected shadows moving below her. Extending her senses, the sources appear to be other Dragons. Thinking it over for a moment...

Dawn decides to turn towards them, figuring a little break with others would be fine. Landing, Dawn had briefly considered hiding to observe them first- yet an older Dragon shouts out. "Who goes there!?"

Surprised, Dawn calls out as she approaches them. "I'm Dawn, a traveler from Warfang." Finally stepping into sight, Dawn identifies them as a pair of Wind Dragons.

The Dragoness looks rather excited, and steps forward with a smile. "Greetings, we're actually headed there ourselves! We're still going the correct direction, right?"

Dawn giving a simple nod, the Wind Dragoness turns to the male happily. "See sweetie, she's a polite young dragon!" The male in question glancing over Dawn, he muses grumpily. "Weird traveling alone though..."

The Wind Dragoness still smiling as she turns towards Dawn, she gestures off to the side. "Well, if you need anything, our son and his mate are in charge of the supplies."

Preferring not to stick around the grumpy Wind Dragon, Dawn decides to head towards the others. Using her shadow sense to locate them, Dawn notices there's five dragons- two adults, two whelps, and one young dragoness.

Finally, as she gets closer, Dawn spots another pair of older dragons- though clearly younger than the first. They don't seem to notice Dawn, that or they just don't mind.

Approaching them, Dawn introduces herself. "Excuse me, I'm Dawn. Your mother sent me over here." The male Wind Dragon glances over at Dawn, and he doesn't seem surprised by her presence.

"That so? Actually in need of anything, or just here to talk?" Though before Dawn could respond, there's suddenly excited laughter from what must be the whelps.

The mother cooing happily over her whelps' happiness, the male dragon chuckles. "Suppose you'll be in for a real treat, Dawn. My little sister is rather gifted with visuals."

"Oh? Hmm, imagery and the ability to detect physical presence..." Intrigued by the possibilities, Dawn maneuvers around the parents to get a better view of what's going on.

Seeing two very young female Wind Dragons managing to stay on the ground, albeit rather excited, Dawn glances past them- and witnesses a trio of small dragon-like figures dance flying around.

Yet... the images look too realistic to be mere clouds, and then there's the Dragoness herself. In stark contrast to her family, the Dragoness distinctly doesn't look like a Wind Dragon.

"She's clearly too young to be Inferni's better at manipulating smoke... Even then, how does she make it look almost life-like? They don't look like they're made from gems, so... not an Earth Dragon..."

"Oh, hey! Who are you?" Dawn turning away from her thoughts, she realizes the unknown Dragoness has called out to her. The two whelps whining as their little show stopped, Dawn feels a bit guilty.

"I'm Dawn, a traveler from Warfang. If you don't mind me asking... how exactly do you make those images?" The other Dragoness tilting her head as she considers an answer, one of the whelps speaks first.

"She's a Dream Dragon, duh!" Dawn giving the young dragon a confused look, her attention shifts to the 'Dream' Dragon who chuckles nervously. Examining her curiously, there doesn't appear to be any unusual or abnormal traits.

"Right, well uh... Y-yeah, I'm a Dream Dragon! So I just manifest my imagination, and poof! Fun imagery I can control." That... doesn't make any sense. Surely the Guardians would of made a Dream Element public knowledge?

"I-I know what you're probably thinking... and I'm not! N-not a Fear Dragon, I hate seeing others be afraid! I even fight off nightmares for others, alongside- uh, while asleep!"

Dawn looking at the 'Dream' Dragon and then the two whelps, Dawn comes to a realization. "I see, likely doesn't want to seem scary or unpredictable. So far, she does appear remarkably sane..."

"Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply anything. Though you really fight away nightmares? I'm surprised someone with your abilities isn't more known, that sounds remarkably helpful."

The 'Dream' Dragoness becoming more composed and cheerful at this, she reactivates her imaginary figures' dance before walking over to Dawn. While the whelps are distracted by the figure's dance, the 'Dream' Dragon replies.

"Well, we're travelers ourselves, and I kind of need others to be asleep first. B-besides, I'm don't do it for attention anyways. I just... like making others happy, however I can."

Nodding at this, Dawn nonetheless wonders... "She must be a Fear Dragon, who somehow tapped into unknown facets. Don't really need her to be a guard, but... her abilities would be invaluable, once sufficiently grown."

Remembering what the mother said, Dawn decides to bring it up. "Oh right, your family is headed for Warfang right? Clarity is actually looking for skilled individuals to recruit, as protectors for special VIPs."

The other Dragoness intrigued by this, she responds after a few moments of thought. "That does sound interesting, though I'm not sure what I could do... Oh, actually..."

Dawn watching as she twirls her claws together uncertainly, the other Dragoness speaks again. "I don't have to decide right away, do I? There's actually someone I need to talk to about this."

Remembering what she said earlier, of how she nearly mentioned another's name... Dawn's response is simple. "Oh course, there's still plenty of time. Just make sure you actually want to join, instead of expecting rewards or forcing yourself."

The thought of more Fear Dragons like... like... "I'm sorry, but I never got your name?" The other dragoness chuckling embarrassed, she even rubs her neck some.

"I'm Nim! Actually short for Nimbus, but too Wind-Like for me that way. Oh, you're not in a rush, are you Dawn?" Considering things... well, Dawn can linger here a little longer.

So, until the Wind Dragons and Nim set off, Dawn stays to watch Nim's creative displays. Having more Fear Dragons like her... it would truly change things.

@Nianque: I have the idea for Zap's omake worked out. In short: omake starts with Dawn seeing Zap do his unique method of fishing (aka diving in the water and electrocuting the fish). From there it revolves around the oddity of his dual Elements, with a large fish-thing being a "Boss Fight" for Zap.

Though regarding the exotic facets: Could I get a clearer idea what Skilled Electricity and Expert Water allow for them? Like, I could see him brightening his path while underwater.

Also, what exactly does "liquids" count as? Does that mean a Water Dragon could purge fish of all their body liquids? Cause being able to extract all that blood without messily gutting the fish should have value.

Regarding First Poison (Venenum): I'm thinking there's a research settlement of sorts near the Poison Nexus's area. Really, I could see such little settlements popping up around all the Nexuses. Anyways, I was thinking Venenum's main interaction has been with said settlement.

As for Venenum's specialty/focus... I see her being really good at purifying and preventing damage. Of the three First Dragons, I imagine she's the one relying most on raw potential.

Where Blackout (deliberately?) misunderstands his Element and First Shadow is mostly focused on exploration, Venenum's proficiency with purification is mostly the result of instinctual action.
