Springtime of Nations II: A European Republic Quest

Estimated Land Forces (Wave 1)
Germany: 6,000,000
Italy: 1,800,000
Spain: 600,000
Allied Forces: 8,400,000

Russia: 5,800,000
Austria: 1,900,000
Scandinavia: 500,000
League Forces: 8,200,000
Owing to the estimated League mobilization period of 3-4 weeks, compared to Allied mobilization periods of 2-3 weeks, we anticipate that only 80% of their forces will be ready for combat by the time our first mobilization wave is complete and fully deployed.
Moreover, as each of the members of the Imperial League is a polyglot empire with inferior training and equipment standards, weak domestic morale, and substantial internal dissent, we anticipate that our formations will function at a much higher degree of efficiency and capability when compared to League forces.
We're going to demolish them if we have the will to follow through.

We are going to freaking reunite Germany for real now guys that last spot where the former German monarchy was at will be ours and we will finally achieved the dream MANY Germans have been waiting for

Oooh, so

1. We outnumber them slightly in condition where mobilization time is equal
2. We are qualitatively better in general
3. We have rebel support in Poland, Bohemia, & Austria
4. We are roughly 7 days faster mobilizing, not only a combat advantage against the League but crucial for timely aid to the national liberation and social radical rebels we helped grow

This increases my hope for victory. Polish, Bohemian, & Austrian rebels - we're rooting for you to pull through for us to arrive in time.

I think you need to give some space for the vote to be tallied correctly - tho etranger will get what you voted for tbh :V

Doubtful. The war would have to last pretty long for that to actually happen, which is unlikely, considering we'll probably succeed at kicking the Austrians in the balls.
I'll advocate to temper expectations since the war might not be a WW1 slog - but I suspect it'll still reach a grinding phase since this is still a massive continental war.

I think we'll leave that up to denizens of Austria. They might try (and probably fail) to form a Cislethanian Republic out of Austria & Bohemia as an alternative since some of the radicals are attracted to the Austro-Marxism concept.

So here's a list on the military numbers expanded out from the forces which will be initially in play-

Germany Wave 1: 6,000,000
Germany Wave 2: 4,000,000
Italy Wave 1: 1,800,000
Italy Wave 2: 3,000,000
Spain Wave 1: 600,000
Spain Wave 2: 600,000
Allied Forces Wave 1: 8,400,000
Allied Forces Wave 2: 7,600,000
Allied Forces Total (theoretical): 16,000,000

Russia Wave 1: 5,800,000 effective(out of 7,200,000)
Russia Wave 2: 4,800,000
Austria Wave 1: 1,900,000 effective (out of 2,400,000)
Austria Wave 2: 2,400,000
Austria Wave 3: 2,400,000
Scandinavia Wave 1: 500,000 effective (out of 600,000)
Scandinavia Wave 2; 1,200,000
League Forces Wave 1: 8,200,000 effective (out of 10,200,000)
League Forces Wave 2: 8,400,000
League Forces Wave 3: 2,400,000
League Forces Total (theoretical): 21,000,000

This is a bit less of a rosy picture numbers wise, but we'll have a qualitative advantage and a notable edge on mobilization speed. We can absolutely win this war, but only with an aggressive strategy which emphasizes our strengths. Aiming to knock out Austria will be crucial, or at least taking Vienna and leaving their Alpine forces unable to hold against Italy and Spain, which opens up about 6,000,000 soldiers for use somewhere other than Alpine passes.

We can and should be on the offensive wherever possible though, to take advantage of our early edge and to encourage revolts and anti-Imperial action in enemy territory, especially Poland, Bohemia, and Austria proper.

[x] Rattle the saber.

I'm not convinced the excuse is good enough for Spain and Italy to jump right in and the Entente to waffle. Give em a little more rope to hang themselves without.

I severely doubt they'll take the off ramp.

Not to dispute your choice by any means, just noting that Italy and Spain will in fact back your play regardless. Otherwise I'd have mentioned the possibility that they wouldn't.

the entente isn't going to jump in on this crisis immediately, hell they'll probably only get the news that we declared war by the time we're half-way through mobilizing! at which point britain, who's in the middle of a depression, and hates the imperial league will make upset noises. a blockade, especially against an economy as big as germany's, pisses off everyone, so they won't jump on it immediately. they'll instead try and negotiate something while we roll through vienna. and then when we've achieved our war aims britain will see we're going to far, then blockade us, at which point we've already won the war we wanted and can start peace negotiations. (of course this does presume we win, but i think that's a sucker's bet)

@Etranger is Fritz Haber present in Germany? Is Artificial Fertilizers created yet?

Also is there a reason why no Non Abrahamic Religion included in Religion List of Republic? Is there so few Non White among Germany that such Faith Does not count in statistics wise?

Y'know, given this started off with the ships anyway, how's the Marinewehr doing? I imagine the Imperials are going to be contesting the Baltic a fair bit.

I am more worried about France and Britain joining war or stop it in middle.
That at least, shouldn't be too pressing a concern. Given they're no fans of the Imperials either, we do have a casus belli that stands to some amount of scrutiny, and we're not immediately scrambling to threaten their territories, it'll be a bit before the Entente will have any serious good reason to intervene, and we'll probably have advance warning that they're thinking about it. So long as we don't actually march directly to Moscow or something, it should be fine.

Don't actually go to Moscow, though. Much as the Tsars may deserve it, there are so many reasons it'd end poorly.

The Haber Process is decades away. Artificial fertilizers do exist.

Your immigration from Asia and Africa is negligible.

However, party leader Elisabeth Strauss shocks the Assembly when she elects to enter coalition talks not with the Radicals, the Communists' usual partners, but the Cooperativists. According to Strauss, her desire to achieve a strong working majority outweighs any differences between the centralists and the devolutionists, and the two parties' platforms are indeed quite harmonious.

Conversely, it is the Radicals' explicit rejection of internationalism that sees them excluded from the coalition
It's so beautiful...

While most of the voters are not currently as enchanted with the continued implementation of the National Personal Autonomy Principle as the Federationists may have hoped
Well, that suck, but hopefully we can ramp this up later.

Given that Germany still operates with a substantial food deficit, one that is currently growing faster than production capacity, emphasis is placed primarily on high-yield production methods, especially those using new types of nitrate-based fertilizer and other helpful chemicals.
That is less environmental focus than I have hope, bu oh well, proto-green revolution is not something I am going to complain much. Hopefully they will put more focus on sustainability later.

officially recognizing the Republic of Sequoyah as an internal protectorate of the United States. Comprising former Indian Territory, the Sequoyah Republic is a fully autonomous and democratic polity with its own laws and government, ceding only the right to an independent foreign policy and specific legal concessions to the United States in exchange for military protection.
On one hand, super cool. On the other hand, this will result in border gore, and that's terrible.

CRISIS: The Heligoland Incident of 1897
To be honest, when I first saw "Heligoland Incident" threadmark come up in my alert list, my first though was "Heligoland? As in that island that was own by British? Oh no, did we just start a 2 fronts war? We are going to be so screwed." Then it turn out to be our version of USS Maine incident with Imperial League, and now I am much less worry. It's not like they can actually win any war against us.

...Let's hope that last sentence won't aged poorly.

[X] Rattle the saber.

Yes yes yes, we can possibly win the war, and it's a somewhat good enough enough Casus Belli to finally destroy their empires. The point is I do not believe encouraging a jingoistic mindset where we go to war over every accusation or pretence regardless of whatever that pretence is true or not is a terrible idea.

Not that my vote is going to change anything, of course.

Marinewehr
Type: Brown-Water Navy
Training: Adequate
Quantity: Medium
Equipment: Adequate
Morale: High
As per the update

[X] Draw the saber and strike first.
I mean, yeah, but I meant in the context of potentially starting a war either now or in the near future with the Imperial League. How do our boats stack up against theirs, and how quickly should the German Baltic coast residents be packing their bags, if at all? I know we were doing a buildup, but how much of that has materialised already and how much is still to come?
