Well, the exploration is a mixed bag this year along with the rest of the year. You don't get too far in the west or the east as you stumble about without anyone to point you in the right direction and you end up stumbling about in circles before giving up and heading back to the village.

Mildly disheartened and frustrated by your lack of progress, you put exploration on hold for a bit and focus more on internal affairs.

To increase relations with Evalon, your followers will need a proper way to get the other village. While boats will be important, the villagers of Avawyr will first need a way to reach Lake Eva.

To do this, you decide to make work on the natural pathway you found to the Lake Eva. By smoothing the surface, filling in holes and marking it out so travellers know where to go, it can be a proper, official route for the Avawyrish.

Alas it goes terribly as when you begin the initial progress, you accidentally destroy a large section of the pathway in a landslide. With a good portion of the natural path having collapses and plenty more of it covered in rocks and dirt, it will take some significant work to remove the landslide debris. And to rebuild the parts that have collapsed, you are certain that unnatural power will be require to restore to its prior condition.

Fortunately you are a spirit and supernatural power is well within your grasp. You just lack any prior experience in using it for something like rebuilding a collapsed mountain passage.

Oh well, there is a first time for everything.

With the failures at both exploring and constructing a proper pathway, you decide to help Bronwyn with looking after your son and the little hellcats that you have for daughters. Mainly the latter to be honest.

But it goes well in the end. With time to focus on your fast growing daughters, you are easily able to get along with them as now the eldest are growing up, they are finally listening to you. Furthermore, elder trio are able to get the younger trio to listen to them and in turn, listen to you.

It turns out to be great for family bonding and you are able to use your newfound influence over the girls to curb some of their more negative traits.

You convince Seryn that while it is okay to be proud of what you can do, it is important that you can actually do what you are proud of lest your words exceed your actions.

With Gwyn, you tell the girl stories of your old hunts and take her on trips into the wilderness on the outskirts of the village. While the girl is still very wary of the world, your tales of glory have convinced her to face her fears rather than hide from them.

When it comes to Arwyn, you decide to cut off her deviousness and trickery before it becomes a problem when she gets older. Gently guiding her, you are able to redirect her sharp mind from tricking others for selfish gain to the working towards the betterment of others. While your daughter still has a sharp and active mind, she uses her cunning to help others and not hurt them.

Eulyn looks set to grow up to be a real benefit to the world as the girl is a kind, helpful girl who likes to lead others. And furthermore, she takes your lessons of guidance you give to her and your sisters to heart and you notice her trying to the same with the other kids of the village.

Terwyn and Morwyn turn out more troublesome than their sisters, the especially the latter. Both of them are rather judgemental towards others, but Terwyn is generally willing to pay attention to things and shows kindness to others while Morwyn is whimsical and takes pleasure in gaining at the expense of others.

Getting Terwyn to be fairer and more forgiving in her stances towards others is easy as the little lass is easily able to grasp the bigger picture. Morwyn is far more unwilling to change, but you eventually get through to her by pointing out that she cannot judge others if she is no better than herself. While it doesn't prevent her from judgemental towards others, it does make her get her own act together if only so she can look down on others who are not as good as her.

Good girls, the lot of them. Sure you have some early troubles, but they are turning out just fine. Hopefully Cadyl will turn out okay as well.

You come to the edge of the mountains and you pause as you take in the sight that lies before you.

Open grasslands as far as the eye can see. You stand upon a ridge of the last mountain in this direction.

You are tempted to explore further, to see these new lands but you know that the journey has already been a long one. You are tired despite being a Spirit and while you can kept an eye on Bronwyn and the kids from afar as long as they remain in the village, it is not the same as being there with your avatar.

With one last look at the fields of grass, you turn back and begin the long, tedious journey home.

"Great One!" says the Evalonish man as the dark-haired man sprints into the village mere hours after your avatar has arrived back, "The Noble One requires your aid!"

You decide that helping Evalon is the greatest priority. With the Evalonish man having a boat to travel across Lake Eva, you decide that making the journey with your friend's follower is the best move. While the journey to the lake itself will be slightly harder and slower, the usage of the boat easily makes up for that by nullifying the time and energy it would take for you to swim across on your own.

There is a dirt trail leading from a small cove on the island to the village itself. The pathway has been created by Evalon and his followers, having cleared out the trees and vegetation in the way.

You find this piece of work to be absolutely fascinating. You have been attempting something similar with the pathway from Avawyr to Ava Cove, but you have some setbacks so to see something similar in its final form gives you some ideas on how to proceed with your own project.

Evatine is in the middle of Evalon and you can tell at a glance that he isn't well. When you last saw him, your avatars were both as strong as the best of your followers with your supernatural abilities allowing you to exceed your mortal followers.

Now Evatine's avatar is weak and frail. The life that once lit up his eyes has faded and the vigour of youth is no longer there.

Furthermore, you don't sense the Aspect of the Hunter in the energy of Evatine. Instead there is something else, but this new something is still similar to your friend's old Aspect. Additionally, you can sense more unshaped energy hovering in the aura of Evatine, just waiting to take a more stable form and are on the cusp of doing so.

"Greetings Gwarlon," says Evatine weakly, but with some firmness in his voice, "I see you have come."

"What has happened to you?" you demand, "Who has done this to you?"

To your surprise, Evatine chuckles in response.

"I am afraid that this is all my own doing," admits Evatine, "I got foolish in pursuing a possibility and it backfired on me. I attempted to reforge the energy I got from slaying the Wolf Spirit, but I instead managed to break the energy upon my Hunter Aspect, mangling both my old Aspect and the new one.

Now I have a single weaker one and my Avatar has grown weaker. Weak enough that I struggle to maintain my body outside of the village. I can also sense more power, just outside of reach. But it grows closer and I am on the cusp of grabbing it for myself.

In the meantime, I am going to direct my followers from here in the village and I am going to study what I did in order to try and figure out what I did wrong."

"I see," you reply, "What aid do you require from me?"

"Not much," answers Evatine, "I shall hopefully recover in time, but I am limited in my ability, especially outside of this village. Because of that, I require someone to assist my followers when they are operating outside of the village. When they are in need of help, I would appreciate it if you could lend a hand. Otherwise, I just need time to see how much I recover."

"I understand," you say.

Inspired by the works of the Evalonish, you return to work on the passage to Ava Cove, spending a good portion of the year on it. Things almost go disastrously like the prior year, but having since a finished path built by mortals, you are able to avoid that mistake if just barely. Otherwise, progress is slow, but steady and you are pleased with that even if things are not going as quickly as you would like.

You spend the rest of your year with your family and with guiding your followers. The girls are still growing up fast, but you notice that it seems to decrease as they get older and you can't help, but note that it will even out as your daughters begin to mature into young women.

Now that is something to worry about, especially if they end up inheriting their mother's beauty.

Oh, how Bronwyn makes your heart go warm and puts a smile on your face. You spend many days in her presence and it makes them all the brighter.

The fact that the two of you need to look after you kids limits your options, but you are able to manage a couple of quick hunts together with the elder of your daughters looking after the younger and their baby brother.

You feel some mild pity towards Cadyl. The boy will grow up without proper siblings as all of your daughters will be all grown up when your son truly enters his childhood. His siblings will be aunts to him rather than sisters like they should be.

Unfortunately, you can't do anything about that except for having more kids and you and Bronwyn are both still in agreement regarding that possibility.

No, you are limited in that issue and Cadyl will just have to cope with things. Nonetheless, you do still feel sorry for your son.

Essential Expenditures : Spend time with family; bonding with Evatine; finishing the pathway.
6 + 5 + 2 = 13. 4 remaining.
Inspire + Blessings x2 = 4. 0 remaining.

Plants, farming, gardening is an attempt to a) feed our family and community, b) provoke the development of a balancing growth-oriented attribute, c) see if there is a way to plant things along our trail so as to forestall erosion.

--[X] About ships, and how to build them.

Learning about plants and gardening seems rather useless in a place that has very few plants and is pretty bad for farming.
We also need ships, so that we can trade on our own terms.

Learning how to garden and so forth is even more important because there are few plants.

Learning how to garden and so forth is even more important because there are few plants.
I can see the reasoning, but are we sure he would have information involving plants that can grow in our environment?

It was mentioned that we lived in very different environments, after all.
If so, I would be willing to switch my vote.

Do we know that Evalon can actually teach gardening/farming/plant growing?
What we know he can do is based on his aspect of the hunter and I would guess trade and maybe crafting(they got boats, but this can be from before his time(he also recently formed his avatar) since they live next to a lake).

We definitely have different amounts of trees due to being on a mountain rather than an island, but most crops tend to be similar. And I kind of think he like purposefully cultivated them?

Any knowledge from which we can grow is better than knowledge useful largely if we both have boat pens and move our village closer to the lake. Besides, even once we've done that farming will still be necessary. And finally, I just don't feel that trying to get a craft oriented aspect when Evatine is already leaning toward it is a good move. We're more community, family, and mountain oriented. Plants fit in with that.
