Hmm

Has Seryn had any strife with her male followers, if she has any at all @Oshha ?

I only ask because I noticed she was gung ho on sacrificing male prisoners, but started feeling bad when she made them into females.

Makes me wonder if this sort of bias extends negatively into other things.

Probably works just like the way the children of spirits can end up Demi-Spirits if they're lucky.
Of course, that doesn't shake the idea of a spirit getting a trait like 'Kitten Daughters' that can garuntee a trait getting passed on...Quick check: Are the Silver Tips simply Blessed Spear wielders or are they metal mages wielding the blessed Spears? Mortals trained to be the best warriors with the spears? I'm not 100% Sure what precisely the Silver Tips are beyond 'these guys are gonna be the ancestors of Knights given enough time.

Pretty sure any male followers she has would seek out the blessing as soon as possible, given how central it has become to her identity.

No. She has a preference for females, but doesn't hold negative feelings towards men. The only possibly problems is that to hold certain positions like leadership positions or being a warrior requires you to be female, but that is only because you need Seryn's blessings to hold those positions and her blessings turn you female.

If anybody does have a problem with her, they can just move to Evalon or Avawyr.

They were originally Evalonish warriors with iron spears that have been blessed by Evatine. No Myrymar amongst them. Now they are all Cath Wyrs with iron spears which have been blessed by Evatine.

Silver Tip = Warrior with iron spear

Only if they want to have a leadership position or become a warrior or hunter or are gay/lesbian or transwomen. Otherwise, the day to day people continue on their lives with only generic blessings. Seryn doesn't want to crash her population by having too few men.

Cycle 17 - Dual Meetings
[X] [Cadyl] The Rescue of Seryn II: Cadyl Edition. Send everything just as you did last time. You got three spirits, a Goddess of War, several hundred Cath Wyrs and a few hundred iron spears. The Sangerish may outnumber you, but you will crush them.

***

When it comes to the option of what to do, it is a trivial decision for you. Just as you did when Seryn was captured by a spirit of another village, you will rally everything that you can and go to rescue to Cadyl along with the other prisoners.

But for all of the similarities, this time is also very different. You have fought the Sangerish for three cycles now and have an idea of what their warriors are capable of. You have a powerful force of warriors led by the Goddess of War. You have hundreds of iron spears, easily superior to the stone spears and clubs, you have dozens of Lyltymar and you have a strong logistics network and no small amount of surplus food to feed your armies.

The only concern is that by sending all of your warriors down south, you will have issues with the rebels and the shadow monsters. However, Seryn decides to solve that issue by simply sticking the cursed rebels in Bedygan where they will need to stay under the protection of Seryn's shrine to stay safe from the shadow monsters due to being too weak to defend themselves.

It takes two weeks for the supplies to be shipped and the army to be gathered in Bedywn, but when it is done, it is an impressive sight. Eight hundred warriors, close to four hundred iron spears, almost two hundred Lyltymar led by two spirits and commanded by the Goddess of War, the Mighty One herself.

You struggle to believe that anything in the world can stand before this force.

With a grim determination that you share with Evatine and Seryn, your army crosses the South River and marches towards Sangere.

***

It is the morning of the second day that Evatine and Seryn feel Wyrn calling upon their power via her connection to each of them. Quickly sending you a spiritual message to inform you of the situation, they grant Wyrn as much power as she needs.

It leaves Evatine tired and exhausts Seryn even more, but neither of them are slowed down even if they will not be in top state for any battles today.

While neither you or they are entirely sure of what Wyrn is doing, your brother and daughter are able to tell you which direction Wyrn is.

It is noon that your army comes to a halt as you find Cadyl, Wyrn and the others you set out to rescue.

The half a dozen women are running across the grasslands with the inhuman speed and stamina that only the power of Seryn could offer. Wearing ragged clothes, they are unarmed apart from Cadyl and Wyrn, the former wielding his iron sword while Wyrn has acquired another iron sword as she also has one despite hers being broken when she was captured.

As Cadyl reaches you, you rush up to your son, scooping him off his feet. You ignore his girlish yelp as you hug him close to your chest. As you hold your child close to you, you do not care if Cadyl is a boy or a girl even as you distinctly know which one he currently is with his body so close to yours.

In the corner of your eye, you notice Wyrn make her way up to Evatine, a happy grin on her face as she approaches your brother, while the Cath Wyrs with them are welcomed back by their fellows and Seryn.

"I knew you would come Dad," says Cadyl as he hugs you back, "But Wyrn did not wish to wait around so she broke free and rescued the rest of us using the powers of Uncle Evatine and Seryn."

"And the Sangerish?" you ask.

"Pursuing us," answers Cadyl, "There are thousands of them and they are led by multiple Spirit-Chosen. I am not talking about the village, but the army they have pursuing us. Their Spirit-Chosen were going to take us as their personal wives with Wyrn and I going to their top chief."

You let out a low growl at that, your anger rising at the Sangerish. But at the same time, you have to restraint it. Thousands of warriors coming to recapture Cadyl and the others with multiple Spirit-Chosen leading them.

You have hundreds of Cath Wyrs, a Goddess of War, dozens of Lyltymar and so many iron spears, but thousands of enemies?

Even the lower estimate of thousands such as only two or three would prove troublesome. Oh, you could beat them, but you would pay a price in life and limb. With Cadyl and the others back, you came for what you set out for, but the Sangerish have gotten away with what they did unpunished.

Looking up, you spot movement in the distance. Sharpening your eyesight, your eyes widen slightly as you realise that you are looking at the army that Cadyl was talking about. Your son was right when he said there was thousands chasing him as you can easily guess that there is at least four thousand warriors marching towards you under the midday sun.

Glancing at Seryn and Evatine with both of them spotting the Sangerish horde was well, you do not have long to decide on what to do next.

A Sangerish army numbering in the thousands is coming for you.
[] [Choice] Retreat. You got what you came for and there is no reason for you to fight such as a massive army, especially when the costs will without a doubt be high for you even if you do win. Withdraw to Bedywn while you still can. This army will either withdraw or you can fight it from the safety of Bedywn's walls.
[] [Choice] Fight. They took your son and their leader tried to claim Cadyl as his wife. Make them pay.

If you chose to fight, please vote on the below choices, picking one from each.
[] [Leader] Gwarlon the Great One. You are the Chief and the top leader of this army. You will personally command the army in the upcoming battle.
-[] [Leader] Write-in. Decide how you will fight this battle.
[] [Leader] Seryn the Mighty One. The Goddess of War, your daughter has plenty of experience in the art of war and warfare is a major part of who she is a spirit. She will be more than capable of commanding the battle against the Sangerish horde.
[] [Leader] Evatine the Noble One. Clever and wise, your brother is a capable leader of warriors and men. Responsible for directing your army against Cynfanor, he can direct it again here today.

[] [Battle] Lead from the front. As a spirit, you shall fight the enemy up close, crushing these mortal men with your supernatural strength.
[] [Battle] Heal the injured. Cath Wyrs or not, your warriors will quickly begin to suffer wounds in the battle today. With Evatine and Seryn being more potent warriors, you shall stay back and use your spiritual powers to heal your injured warriors, saving lives and keeping more in the fight.
[] [Battle] Write-in.

Even with superior soldiers and weaponry we would still be fighting against 4-1 odds with an army that is devoted and will not break from morale loss.

If they choose to chase us, well we have walls for a reason.

If they choose to chase us, well we have been building that Stone Wall for a reason. Even incomplete it should still provide some sort of defense.

Completed wooden wall. You would be retreating to Bedywn, which has a wooden wall that has been finished while Avawyr is the place with the mostly completed stone wall.

Ah, still doesn't really change my point of walls > open field, especially against a numerically superior foe.

I know, but I thought I would correct the inaccurate information.

Speaking of correcting inaccurate information, I'm the anonymous guy currently updating the character sheets word doc. Mostly formatting it right now, but I will start adding info in just a bit.

Okay, I have finished making the changes to the character sheets word doc.

I just looked and jeez Seryn has a lot of traits.

I also enjoy that she has eaten so many spirits now that she actually has a trait for it. :V
It also seems like Isorine might be a Genus Loci of some sort, since she has a trait directly related to her lake and seems almost monofocused on it.

[X] [Battle] Heal the injured, leaving the two powerhouses to fight, but when you have the time between heals, especially in the beggining, make traps in the ground, or spikes through the enemies, trying to aim for their leaders.

I KNOW, deep in my heart and by the will of my mind, that retreat is the best option. Yet, somehow... This is calling to me. We'll loose alot. Maybe even the battle. But we shall break their army and stop them from raiding us for at least half a generation, and this simply feels like what should be done... Once again, I know retreating is best, but I want to battle with them, and I highly doubt they would pursue us until our walls and keep fighting there.

Let's face it: Seryn's kidnapping, Aeryn's death, we've had so many times where we've had awesome fighters laid low by sheer numbers, even if our dudes are better than theirs. And frankly I'd rather play this to our strengths as much as we can, and that means using walls to control the fight so we don't get straight-up mobbed, plus it should seriously benefit the Silver Tips-their spears are empowered by Civilization, and our villiages are more Civilization then some random open plain!

Our objective is to get our kids back. Theres no sense spending MORE lives...especially when it looks like it was bait to draw us out to begin with.

Hmm, has Seryn ever used her ability to summon wildcats @Oshha ?

And in general, do we have any sort of animal companions in any of our villages?

Yes, but normal, non-animal spirit enhanced wildcats are small and not useful for much beyond hunting rodents so all they have done is hunt rodents and help preserve the harvest. Beyond that, the wildcats have been the animal companions for your villages to the point that for some of them, it is now inaccurate to call them 'wild'cats.

Not importance enough for Gwarlon to take note of.

Otherwise, you have goats in Avawyr with cows and sheep in Bedywn.

The thing about wildcats becoming "tame" cats made me think: can our aspect change aswell? I mean, can the wildcat aspect become a simple cat aspect?

When it comes to Aspects, there is no different between wildcats or tame cats due to the two being too similar. However, an Aspect of the Wolf could be turned into an Aspect of the Dog.
