So attempting a new quest. Inspired by having read AmberAge recently, I have decided to start a quest where you play as a fledgling spirit that is revered by a primitive tribe.
The village of Awawyr is located in:
[] The Mountains
[] The Grasslands
[] The Wetlands
[] The Hills
[] The Forests
You are Gwarlon and your followers are simple folk. They toil during the day to provide their village with the necessities of life and they regularly give you praise and reverence in order to keep them safe.
While you have been previously limited to blessing your followers and healing serious injuries in exchanges for prayers, you have recently gathered enough energy to form a physical body. Basing the body on those of your male followers, it isn't particularly stronger than those of your mortal followers, but it does allow you to physically interact with the world at large and that alone is invaluable.
Now you have choices. You still have some Energy reserved and you can use that to carry out the usual activities of providing Blessing, Inspirations and Healing to your followers while you also have the option to hunt local wildlife or explore the local area around the village.
Available Energy: 12 (Energy is how much power a spirit has and is required for them to do things. For a local spirit like Gwarlon, they just use basic, raw Energy, but more powerful and complex spirits may use more specialised forms of Energy that is stronger than basic Energy, but also more limited.)
[] Bless Follower: Costs 1 Energy. (Imbues a follower with power.)
[] Inspire Follower: Costs 2 Energy. (Inspires a follower to commit a great deed.)
[] Heal Follower: Costs 3 Energy. (Lets you heal an injured or ill follower.)
~ Smite Person: Costs 3 Energy. Distance increases costs. Currently unavailable. (Lets you strike down a person. Increase distance between Gwarlon and the target increases the cost of the action. Currently not an option as there is no one to smite and none of your followers have given you a reason to smite them yet.)
Avatar: Avatar is currently formed. (Avatars are the physical body. Avatars are essentially a long term Energy investment as they cost a lot of Energy to form, but once they are formed, they let you physically interact with the world that are impossible as a bodiless spirit.)
[] Explore: Costs 3 Energy. (Explores the area around the village.)
-[] With Followers. (Explores the area around the village with your followers.)
-[] Without Followers. (Explores the area around the village without your followers.)
[] Hunt: Costs 3+1D6 Energy. (Hunt the local animals around the village.)
-[] With Followers. (Hunt the local animals around the village with your followers.)
-[] Without Followers. (Hunt the local animals around the village without your followers.)
[X] The Mountains
[X] Inspire Follower: Costs 2 Energy. (Inspires a follower to commit a great deed.)
[X] Explore: Costs 3 Energy. (Explores the area around the village.)
-[X] With Followers. (Explores the area around the village with your followers.)
Now having your avatar to use, you decide to take a change of pace as you spend your energy on exploring the local area around your village.
The village of Avawyr is a decent enough place to live. Several hundred people live in it and your people are able to get just enough food to survive the seasons with you using your power to make up for any shortfalls. You are pretty pleased with doing that. It feels good to keep your people from starving.
There is also more than enough space as there is plenty of room for everyone. Not enough to fit twice of Avawyr's population, but there will not ever be a concern as there is not enough food for the population to increase.
Fortunately you don't need to worry about that this year, but you conserve your energy just in case. Instead you decide to take a band of your followers exploring and inspire the leader of your explorers, a real nice girl called Bronwyn.
Some of your followers think that Bronwyn was chosen by you for her looks. Unnatural white hair at a young age, tall and fit, soft brown eyes, a muscular build, that silky, wavy white hair that loosely falls down to her shoulders and an excellent bosom that is really pleasant on the eyes...you can totally see why some folk think that her appearance is why she was chosen.
In practice, you weren't really paying attention and she was chosen randomly. That said, if your loins took the opportunity to do the thinking when your head was not, Bronwyn's selection might not have been as random as you initially thought and those rumours might have some truth to them.
Hmm, Bronwyn has yet to be given to a man, but that will change soon and you do feel like trying out your avatar fully.
Eh, that can wait until latter. You go exploring to do and Bronwyn's future can wait until you, her and the others get back to the village.
***
The exploring goes well. Both you and Bronwyn proved to be good at it, the two of your lead your group of eight through the mountain passages to the north-west of Avawyr.
The journey takes a few weeks and you really get to appreciate that Bronwyn is more than just a beauty that puts a fire in your loins. It turns out that her spirit is also just as capable at firing up your loins as her body.
A very forthcoming girl in when it comes to turning her thoughts into words, Bronwyn is very clear headed and clever, easily figuring out problems and the solutions to them in a manner that makes you rumble with approval.
And the best part is that the girl is so darn nice and loyal to the point that she is willingly to credit all of her successes to your guidance.
Yet Bronwyn does not get along well with the other villagers. Apparently the rest of your followers do not enjoy her willingness to speak her mind like you do and the fact that she points out their problems as people and telling them how they are failures while coming up with the right way to get things done has made her something of an outcast.
All the more reason to take her as your own.
Eventually, your group reasons the edge of the mountains and the great body of water beyond.
You are not the first to make the journey to the waters, but you, or rather Bronwyn, are the first to make the discovery of the land that can be faintly seen in the distance.
Once Bronwyn points it out to you, you are easily able to see what she sees.
Now you just need to decide whether or not to swim out to that new land or call it a day and head back to the village.

[X] Swim out to the land on the other side of the water.
***
You decide to swim over to the new land that Bronwyn has spotted. Being a mighty spirit, you should be more than capable of making the trip across the water.
Your followers on the other hand...eh. Yeah, apart from possibly Bronwyn, none of them could make the journey like you could and even then, you do not want to test whether or not Bronwyn would survive the journey.
If worse comes to the worse, you can just reform your avatar back at Avawyr while Bronwyn would, well, just be dead.
So yeah, Bronwyn will be staying behind.
"Hey," you say, turning to face your followers, "You guys can head back to the village now. I am going to swim over there and check out that land which Bronwyn spotted. I nip over, take a little look around and nip back before making my own."
"As you command Great One," replies Bronwyn respectfully, speaking for both herself and the rest of your followers.
Handing your supplies back over to Bronwyn and the others, you make your way down to the water's edge. Rolling your shoulders, you dive into the water and begin the long swim across the body of water.
You are fine for the first few hours, but you swiftly begin to tire afterwards. Fortunately, you are able to bolster your avatar with unused energy, restoring its warmth and stamina.
In the end, it takes you a good full day and night to make the swim across the water along with most of your remaining energy reserves.
[-5 Energy]
The land is a strange one compared to the mountains within which Avawyr lies and you are used to.
There are plenty of hills, but no mountains and unlike the handful of trees that you have back in your home mountains, you have countless of the large plants on this land.
Fascinating.
You travel inward a bit, stumbling about as you try and adjust to this new terrain.
However, it is not long before you stumble upon more humans. And these ones are members of Avawyr nor are they your worshippers.
They are great talkers and pretty friendly. Being as tired and unfamiliar with the area as you are, you easily agree to their offer of heading back to their village with them. You take a moment to check in on Avawyr via your shrine before setting off with them.
The village is similar to your own, but slightly smaller and a bit more prosperous. The people also look awfully similar to your own, but their clothing is different, something you put down to them living amongst all of these trees.
As you enter the village, you are brought before the local spirit of these people. A lean man with messy brown hair, friendly brown eyes and an easy going smile, he introduces himself as Evatine of the village of Evalon. In turn, you introduce yourself as Gwarlon of Avawyr.
You quickly come to the conclusion that Evatine is a great guy and would make an awesome friend. And Evatine feels the same about you!
You spend the next day swapping stories and hanging out with Evatine, not that either of you have many stories to tell with both of you being young spirits who only recently got their avatars.
But in the end, you need to head back to your own people. Your new friend offers to go with you and offers you use of one his people's wooden constructions, something they call a 'boat'.

You quickly decide that boats are good and you like them. Definitely much better than swimming as while the rowing is tiring, it doesn't exhaust you like swimming did and force you to expend a large amount of energy to keep your avatar from dying.
The boat is a small wooden construction that fits two and requires the user or users to row with two wooden sticks called oars.
As much as you would like to build some of your own boats for Avawyr, you do not have enough wood available to use for such projects. You will be forced to rely upon Evatine and Evalon for boats until you and your followers can acquire enough trees to serve as a suitable source of wood.
With enough supply to make the journey across the lake, as Evatine and his people call the large body of water, and to travel back to Avawyr, you and Evatine set off together.
***
"So what is your village like?" inquires Evatine as the two of you row across Lake Eva.
"Very different to yours," you reply after a moment of thought, "We have few trees and plants, but many mountains and rocks. With my aid, there is enough food produced to keep the village from starving. It is also harder to get about as a misstep can result in a fatal fall."
"I see," says Evatine, "Trade would be useful for Avawyr then."
"It would if were not for the fact we have little to trade for," you say sullenly, "We barely have enough to get by and the only thing we can offer in return are rocks."
"Rocks can be valuable depending on what type of rock they are," says Evatine idly, "There a few types of rocks I would happily trade for and the same applies to others in my village."
"How would trade travel between our villages?" you inquire, "Our people do not have boats of our own and the mountain paths are perilous and dangerous to travel upon."
"Then we shall have to find a safe path for the traders," says Evatine, "I shall handle the boats and the crossing of the lake while you can handle finding a safe route through the mountains."
You nod your agreement. It does seem like a good idea and a proper division of responsibilities.
***
Your return to Avawyr is a proud and glorious one with a friendly spirit in tow. Your followers praise your success at finding new lands and new people in addition to making friends out of these new people.
Given how similar your people are, you have no doubts that the villagers of Avawyr will get along just fine with the villagers of Evalon as the only real differences between the groups is that one lives in mountains and worships you while the other lives amongst trees and hills and worships Evatine.
Oh, you are certain that the differences will increase in time, but for the time being, the only known people in the world are practically brothers and sisters.
A shame none of the villagers have gotten to meet each other yet, but that will definitely change in time as the trade suggested by Evatine picks up.
You are particularly pleased to see Bronwyn upon your return. Sure you seen the white-haired lass when she has visited your shrine on a near daily basis, but that isn't quite the same as seeing her with your avatar.
Speaking of Bronwyn, the girl has proven to become a leader amongst your followers when it comes to matters regarding you.
You could make it an official position or you could claim the unmarried girl as your wife. Or just bed her for some good times. No need to make a commitment if you don't need to, especially when you can make it later.
However, it is not all good news upon your return. Some wildcats are moving in from the west and are starting to pose a threat to your people. As the spirit of Avawyr, you ought to do something about them in order to protect your followers.
Evatine offers to help you as his own followers have been encountering troubles from that direction along some creatures called wolves causing a bit of havoc on the far side of Lake Eva.

You make two major decisions this cycle of seasons. First is to take the previously unclaimed Bronwyn as your own wife. The young lass is exceptional and since your influence and her spirit has kept anyone else from claiming her yet, you decide to do what your followers do and take a wife.
Bronwyn happily agrees to your marriage through you suspect she would not have objected even if she did not wish to be your wife.
Taking Bronwyn as a fine has another effect that you vaguely notice as by taking a wife like the rest of the men in the village do, you feel yourself drawing closer to your followers by partaking in their traditions and customs taking one of them as someone close to you.
Your nights go fine with Bronwyn sharing your bed. You put that down to your Inspiring of Bronwyn this cycle as while you attempted to Inspire someone else, your power found its way to Bronwyn again. However, you must put an end to them earlier than you originally expected when Bronwyn becomes expectant with your offspring early into the cycle.
A shame that is as it means that Bronwyn is also unavailable to join you and Evatine on your hunts, but between the two of you, there are plenty of other followers to join your hunts.
With several incursions of wildcats, you and Evatine lead bands of your followers in hunts. While the normally small and solidary wildcats wouldn't be a threat to your people, these ones are abnormally large and travel in packs of five or six.
The hunters of Avawyr and Evalon proved to be evenly matched with these abnormal wildcats, either trading equal losses or being able to avoid each other. In the end, you and Evatine prove to be the vital edge needed by your followers to win against the wildcats.
The two of you are able to systematically hunt down and slay multiple packs of wildcats, letting your followers claim the spoils as neither of you have need for them. Besides, you get enough of it back in offerings anyway.
It is in the middle of Harvest Season when the hunts come to an end. You and Evatine are on another hunt together.
***
You detect it first. Hefting your stone club, you lead the way, chasing down the unnatural scent that has reached your ears.
"This way!" you call to Evatine and your fellow spirit looks like he has sensed it as well.
Carefully making your way towards the source of the scent, both you and Evatine are careful not to disturb your prey.
Eventually, the two of you make your way to the point where the scent is strongest before it nearly disappears on you.
Your eyes widen as you realise something is wrong and you barely notice the trap in time. Bracing yourself in time, you are able to bring your club up in time to block the attacks of the Wildcat Spirit.
Throwing the animal spirit aside, you quickly put the pieces together. This Wildcat Spirit is responsible for all of your problems with the invading wildcats, driving them into intruding on your lands along with making them unnaturally large and making them live and hunt in packs.
Before the Wildcat can make another go at you, Evatine strikes. Ramming his spear into the side of the Wildcat Spirit, your friend prevents the hostile spirit from attacking you.
Seizing the initiative, you swing your club into the head of the Wildcat Spirit, whacking it backwards even as Evatine keeps your foe held in place with his spear.
Snarling at you, the Wildcat Spirit tries to pounce, but Evatine keeps it held in place, twisting his spear to make the Wildcat Spirit hiss in pain.
Not much stronger than a normal wildcat the same way you and Evatine aren't much stronger than a normal human, the Wildcat is close to dead after the wounds you inflicted upon it.
Gripping your club with both hands in a firm grip, you bring it down on the head of the Wildcat Spirit with one great cry, caving in the skull of the animal spirit.
As the avatar of the Wildcat Spirit disperse, you can feel its energy begin to fade and return to the greater flow of the world.
As another spirit, you feel the potential to reach out and grab its fading energy for yourself, claiming the spiritual remains of this fallen spirit as your own.
At the same time, you can also sense another group of energy, one brought together by the hunt of this beast and its ilk.
You could take either one, but not both as you have no doubt that Evatine will claim the bundle of energy that you don't take.
In fact, he is already reaching out for the energy collected by the hunt.

With your friend already claiming the Aspect of the Hunter, you decide to let Evatine have his chosen prize while you go for the Aspect of the Wildcat.
Seizing the cluster of spiritual energy, you let it flow through your body, mingling with your own essence and becoming one with it.
You feel changed. Your eyesight is sharper whilst your muscles feel stronger and your body more agile.
Feeling your mouth with your tongue, you also note that your canines have grown into fangs.
"You have changed," notes Evatine and looking at him, you note that you aren't the only one who has changed.
The Spirit of Evalon is still lean, but also muscular now with his friendly brown eyes containing a new sharpness behind them.
"I am not the only one," you reply, stating your thoughts out loud.
"True," agrees Evatine with a smile that you easily return, "Thank you for letting me claim this Aspect as my own. While we were able to work together to slay this spirit, the wolves threaten my explorers are too far away for you to assist me. With this Aspect of the Hunter, I shall hopefully stand a better chance against the wolves and any possible Wolf Spirit that they may have leading them on my own."
"I see," you reply, "Good luck in your hunts."
"That can wait until later," says Evatine with a dismissive wave of his hand, "We still need to return to Avawyr and I shall not embark on my future hunts until we have finished celebrating the end of this one."

It at the start of the new Growth Season that Bronwyn finally gives birth to your children and well, they are certainly yours. Giving a birth to a total of four babies, Bronwyn doesn't suffer any of the usual nastiness that comes with childbirth, especially one that large, as you use your power, which has never been greater, to heal her of any complications and keep her and the children healthy.
From what you can tell, there have been other effects of pouring your energy into Bronwyn and the babies within her womb.
Sure, Bronwyn and all of the kiddos are healthy, but err, the kids are distinctively yours.
The first of them is a healthy looking lad and looks no different from another babe. Your three new daughters on the other hand...yeah, anybody can tell that they are yours.
The cat ears, tails and eyes is pretty much a no brainer when it comes to parents are.
The only thing that baffles you is how they came to be like that as you did not claim your Aspect of the Wildcat until after impregnating Bronwyn. You not sure how it is possible, but you suspect it has something to do with you imbuing her with your energy after you got the Aspect of the Wildcat.
Seryn has white fur along with blue cat eyes while Gwyn has also has blue cat eyes, but instead has golden-brown fur. Arwyn also has brown fur, but is duller with black stripes and while her fur is not golden, her eyes are.
You sense the Aspect of the Wildcat within your daughters, but it feels stronger...more potent then what is contained within you.
Hopefully that will not cause troubles as they grow up, but you doubt you will be so lucky as that will be the case.
After all, if the Cat within them has made them so physically different, it stands to reason that it would have changed them mentally.
Conversely, you take solace in the fact that just their physical oddities may result in mental oddities, just as their bodies have remained mostly normal, so will their minds.
And with the birth of your children out of the way, you need to plan the next year.

The year goes average by your standards. It is not a bad one, but you would not call it a good one either as while it has had its upsides, it has also had its downsides.
You go about your spiritual business. Your inspirations are lacklustre this year while your healing are mostly par for the course.
Like with your healing, the blessings are pretty average as you decide to bless people who are not your wife this year, but none of them live up to the standards of Bronwyn even if that strapping young lad proves to be an excellent hunter.
If only the hunts were as good as last year.
With the Wildcat Spirit slain at the hands of you and Evatine, the only wildcats in the area are the ones under the command of your daughters. You and your followers do find and slay a couple of bears and a few wolf packs, but hunting is minimal compared to the bounties of last year.
Speaking of your daughters, the little rascals have been growing up abnormally fast. Putting it down to being part cat-spirit, your three girls are about five or six winters old when by the time they reach the end of their first.
Seryn is a proud girl, greatly pleased with herself. This has an unfortunate tendency to translate into reckless behaviour, but you cannot fault her courage. Gwyn is the opposite of her sister, rather afraid of the world and prefers to stay at home where she likes to come up with new ideas on a whim.
Her ideas are still lacking right now, but you expect that to change in time as she grows older. After all, you cannot expect greatness from a mere kid?
Arwyn is closer to Seryn than Gwyn as your golden-eye daughter likes to go on adventures and has a natural adeptness for cunning and deceit that makes it hard for you and Bronwyn to keep an eye on her and keep her from endangering herself on her 'adventures'. Despite her troublesome adventurousness, Arwyn is a caring young lass who takes pleasure in looking after her siblings.
Meanwhile, your son Cadyl is still just a babe and is growing up like a normal person as you originally expected. At least he does not cause any trouble, unlike his sisters.
Your daughters are troublesome to keep track of, regularly escaping your attention and often not bothering to follow your commands. Who knew herding cat-daughters would be so hard?
Given how hard it is, you seriously consider not bothering to look after the kids in the future. Then again, all kids are troublesome when they are young and hopefully the girls will get better as they get older as they are able to understand things better instead of just following childish whims.
Still the exploring has gone well even if the hunts and babysitting have not done so. You make a couple of journeys to the east to explore the mountains that lay that way. You do not get any further than anyone from the village usually gets, but you are able to map out that sections of the mountains for future exploration and usage.
As for finding a path to Lake Eva, you are able to locate a pathway down to the mountains. It will take a bit of clearing and mapping out before it can become a proper passage for regular use, but it is something.
Apart from making the turning the path into a proper passage from the village to the cove, you will also need to build some pens or something in the cove to store the boats as if the traders are to travel from Eva to Avawyr or vice versa, the boats will need to be kept somewhere.
You have no doubt that Evatine will be working on something on the other end at Eva Island.
Speaking of Evatine, you have not heard from your friend this year apart from the at start of it when he contacted you to inform you that he was heading off to hunt the wolves harassing his followers.
***
"No more children," states Bronwyn as she looks down at your latest batch of kids and you are inclined to agree with her.
She only gave birth to three children this year, but given all of them are daughters with cat traits, that is more than enough.
"I am serious Gwarlon," says Bronwyn as she leans again you, "Three of the girls has proven to be more than enough to deal with. Six is just going to prove too much let alone more than that."
You put an arm around your wife as she sighs. Still in the prime of her youth, the white-haired woman still puts a fire in your loins as you gaze upon her. Despite giving birth to multiple children, your power has ensure her good health and looks remain.
"Do not worry dear," you inform her as you squeeze her gently in a one-armed hug, "I concur that more kids will be too much. And I shall aid you in looking after our current ones."
"I am glad that you take this seriously," replies Bronwyn and you lean down to kiss her.
Your lips meet and after a moment, you pull back.
"Now dearest Bronwyn, let us enjoy this night," you say with a sparkle in your eye as your feel your way up to her chest and she lets out a happy bark of laughter, "It has been too long since we have been able to properly share a bad.

Well, the exploration is a mixed bag this year along with the rest of the year. You don't get too far in the west or the east as you stumble about without anyone to point you in the right direction and you end up stumbling about in circles before giving up and heading back to the village.
Mildly disheartened and frustrated by your lack of progress, you put exploration on hold for a bit and focus more on internal affairs.
To increase relations with Evalon, your followers will need a proper way to get the other village. While boats will be important, the villagers of Avawyr will first need a way to reach Lake Eva.
To do this, you decide to make work on the natural pathway you found to the Lake Eva. By smoothing the surface, filling in holes and marking it out so travellers know where to go, it can be a proper, official route for the Avawyrish.
Alas it goes terribly as when you begin the initial progress, you accidentally destroy a large section of the pathway in a landslide. With a good portion of the natural path having collapses and plenty more of it covered in rocks and dirt, it will take some significant work to remove the landslide debris. And to rebuild the parts that have collapsed, you are certain that unnatural power will be require to restore to its prior condition.
Fortunately you are a spirit and supernatural power is well within your grasp. You just lack any prior experience in using it for something like rebuilding a collapsed mountain passage.
Oh well, there is a first time for everything.
With the failures at both exploring and constructing a proper pathway, you decide to help Bronwyn with looking after your son and the little hellcats that you have for daughters. Mainly the latter to be honest.
But it goes well in the end. With time to focus on your fast growing daughters, you are easily able to get along with them as now the eldest are growing up, they are finally listening to you. Furthermore, elder trio are able to get the younger trio to listen to them and in turn, listen to you.
It turns out to be great for family bonding and you are able to use your newfound influence over the girls to curb some of their more negative traits.
You convince Seryn that while it is okay to be proud of what you can do, it is important that you can actually do what you are proud of lest your words exceed your actions.
With Gwyn, you tell the girl stories of your old hunts and take her on trips into the wilderness on the outskirts of the village. While the girl is still very wary of the world, your tales of glory have convinced her to face her fears rather than hide from them.
When it comes to Arwyn, you decide to cut off her deviousness and trickery before it becomes a problem when she gets older. Gently guiding her, you are able to redirect her sharp mind from tricking others for selfish gain to the working towards the betterment of others. While your daughter still has a sharp and active mind, she uses her cunning to help others and not hurt them.
Eulyn looks set to grow up to be a real benefit to the world as the girl is a kind, helpful girl who likes to lead others. And furthermore, she takes your lessons of guidance you give to her and your sisters to heart and you notice her trying to the same with the other kids of the village.
Terwyn and Morwyn turn out more troublesome than their sisters, the especially the latter. Both of them are rather judgemental towards others, but Terwyn is generally willing to pay attention to things and shows kindness to others while Morwyn is whimsical and takes pleasure in gaining at the expense of others.
Getting Terwyn to be fairer and more forgiving in her stances towards others is easy as the little lass is easily able to grasp the bigger picture. Morwyn is far more unwilling to change, but you eventually get through to her by pointing out that she cannot judge others if she is no better than herself. While it doesn't prevent her from judgemental towards others, it does make her get her own act together if only so she can look down on others who are not as good as her.
Good girls, the lot of them. Sure you have some early troubles, but they are turning out just fine. Hopefully Cadyl will turn out okay as well.

You come to the edge of the mountains and you pause as you take in the sight that lies before you.
Open grasslands as far as the eye can see. You stand upon a ridge of the last mountain in this direction.
You are tempted to explore further, to see these new lands but you know that the journey has already been a long one. You are tired despite being a Spirit and while you can kept an eye on Bronwyn and the kids from afar as long as they remain in the village, it is not the same as being there with your avatar.
With one last look at the fields of grass, you turn back and begin the long, tedious journey home.

"Great One!" says the Evalonish man as the dark-haired man sprints into the village mere hours after your avatar has arrived back, "The Noble One requires your aid!"

You decide that helping Evalon is the greatest priority. With the Evalonish man having a boat to travel across Lake Eva, you decide that making the journey with your friend's follower is the best move. While the journey to the lake itself will be slightly harder and slower, the usage of the boat easily makes up for that by nullifying the time and energy it would take for you to swim across on your own.
There is a dirt trail leading from a small cove on the island to the village itself. The pathway has been created by Evalon and his followers, having cleared out the trees and vegetation in the way.
You find this piece of work to be absolutely fascinating. You have been attempting something similar with the pathway from Avawyr to Ava Cove, but you have some setbacks so to see something similar in its final form gives you some ideas on how to proceed with your own project.
Evatine is in the middle of Evalon and you can tell at a glance that he isn't well. When you last saw him, your avatars were both as strong as the best of your followers with your supernatural abilities allowing you to exceed your mortal followers.
Now Evatine's avatar is weak and frail. The life that once lit up his eyes has faded and the vigour of youth is no longer there.
Furthermore, you don't sense the Aspect of the Hunter in the energy of Evatine. Instead there is something else, but this new something is still similar to your friend's old Aspect. Additionally, you can sense more unshaped energy hovering in the aura of Evatine, just waiting to take a more stable form and are on the cusp of doing so.
"Greetings Gwarlon," says Evatine weakly, but with some firmness in his voice, "I see you have come."
"What has happened to you?" you demand, "Who has done this to you?"
To your surprise, Evatine chuckles in response.
"I am afraid that this is all my own doing," admits Evatine, "I got foolish in pursuing a possibility and it backfired on me. I attempted to reforge the energy I got from slaying the Wolf Spirit, but I instead managed to break the energy upon my Hunter Aspect, mangling both my old Aspect and the new one.
Now I have a single weaker one and my Avatar has grown weaker. Weak enough that I struggle to maintain my body outside of the village. I can also sense more power, just outside of reach. But it grows closer and I am on the cusp of grabbing it for myself.
In the meantime, I am going to direct my followers from here in the village and I am going to study what I did in order to try and figure out what I did wrong."
"I see," you reply, "What aid do you require from me?"
"Not much," answers Evatine, "I shall hopefully recover in time, but I am limited in my ability, especially outside of this village. Because of that, I require someone to assist my followers when they are operating outside of the village. When they are in need of help, I would appreciate it if you could lend a hand. Otherwise, I just need time to see how much I recover."
"I understand," you say.

Inspired by the works of the Evalonish, you return to work on the passage to Ava Cove, spending a good portion of the year on it. Things almost go disastrously like the prior year, but having since a finished path built by mortals, you are able to avoid that mistake if just barely. Otherwise, progress is slow, but steady and you are pleased with that even if things are not going as quickly as you would like.
You spend the rest of your year with your family and with guiding your followers. The girls are still growing up fast, but you notice that it seems to decrease as they get older and you can't help, but note that it will even out as your daughters begin to mature into young women.
Now that is something to worry about, especially if they end up inheriting their mother's beauty.
Oh, how Bronwyn makes your heart go warm and puts a smile on your face. You spend many days in her presence and it makes them all the brighter.
The fact that the two of you need to look after you kids limits your options, but you are able to manage a couple of quick hunts together with the elder of your daughters looking after the younger and their baby brother.
You feel some mild pity towards Cadyl. The boy will grow up without proper siblings as all of your daughters will be all grown up when your son truly enters his childhood. His siblings will be aunts to him rather than sisters like they should be.
Unfortunately, you can't do anything about that except for having more kids and you and Bronwyn are both still in agreement regarding that possibility.
No, you are limited in that issue and Cadyl will just have to cope with things. Nonetheless, you do still feel sorry for your son.

The year goes on and there is not too much of note that happens. You bless a couple of followers and inspire another. They don't do much as your followers focus on carrying out their daily lives with the only big project being the construction of the Ava Cove Passage.
Those who were blessed proved capable as assisting in the legwork whilst the woman you inspired help design the future construction that can now begin. With the rubble removed and the pathway partially restored, the real construction can finally be started.
The only other major event of the year is a visit to Evatine as you hope that your friend and fellow spirit can assist you in managing the plants of your village, perhaps increasing the amount of food that the villagers of Avawyr are able to grow.
Unfortunately Evatine proves to be a dead end as the Spirit of Evalon knows nought about what you desire knowledge of. It turns out that due to the natural bounty of the Isle of Evalon means that the villagers of Evalon have never had to worry about increasing their food supply, especially since there are less Evalonish than there are Avawyrish.
That said, Evatine did mention it was something he and his people were going to be looking into in the near future as he feel that a higher food supply would be needed to both increase the population of his followers and excess food would allow for greater opportunities.
As for the rest of the year, you spent it with your family like you usually do. You don't spend too much time on your kids this year as Cadyl is still a little one while your daughters continue to be free-minded and independent. Oh, you spend some time with them and you have your father-daughter bonding activities, but for the most part, you let your daughters do their thing.
Instead, you dote on your wife. You aid each other in your daily lives, you bring happiness to each other most nights and you take Bronwyn on several tours of the wilderness on the outskirts of the forest.
***
"The sunset is beautiful tonight," says Bronwyn softly as she rests her head against your chest, deliberately leaning at an angle as the two of you are practically the same height.
"Indeed it is," you agree, stroking the white hair of your wife, "If only we had more days like this."
"At least there is not a storm coming," says Bronwyn as she snuggles up against you and you gaze down at her lovingly.
Ah, such as beautiful woman. The mere sight of her puts you in a good mood and there is not even counting what it is like to spend time with the person beneath the exterior.
"You never know dear," you reply, "A storm could be just right about the corner and neither of us could know it."
"Is there a storm coming?" asks Bronwyn.
"No," you admit.
"Then let us not worry about things that shall not come to pass," says Bronwyn quietly, "Will I grace your bed tonight oh Great One?"
You take a moment to look down and observe Bronwyn in all her beauty.
"Would you be willing to grant me that honour oh Beautiful One?" you ask in turn and Bronwyn lets out a laugh that rings sweetly to your ears.
"Do not call me that," say Bronwyn, "I am no spirit. I do not deserve a title like that."
"On the contrary," you disagree as you run a finger down the curves of your wife's chest and she grins at you as you do so, "You are more than worthy of that title and I shall make it so if needed."
"Of course you think that," says Bronwyn, "Who bears you your children and warms your bed at night? I shall go along with it if you wish it so, but I shall let you decide on that. It is your right not mine to determine who is to be granted such a title."
"As you say dear," you reply.
As the two of you sit there, you can feel a power gathering in the background your aura, waiting to be shaped. It has been there, growing, for some time now and it will not be long before it takes a proper form.
You just do not know what form it will take.
