I do wonder where Sasuke and Naruto left the remains of the destroyed cookware; kind of curious just what they did to it.
 
@Tekomandor just one small thing, has some of the recent developments changed the relationship of Hinata and her family and/or the upper brass of the clan Hyuga?

I mean, she may have not been as impressive as the members of team 7, but in the span of a few weeks she has proven herself as great fighter (on both her combat exams and during the war), a very skilled practitioner of the Gentle Fist (she has even created new and powerful techniques of this style as a genin), she has also performed admirably in two A ranked missions as a genin, and finally, she has been promoted to chunin on her first try...

Because if in this continuity Hiashi disinherited Hinata for being "too weak" like it happened in canon, I am guessing that after seeing all of this he probably would want to eat his hat raw...

Confirmed by canon. Itachi stole Sasuke's clan and sanity. Sasuke stole Itachi's eyes.

I'm slightly intrigued that this description doesn't specify "samurai-style sword techniques". Samurai also had lances and bows, if I remember correctly.

It's a dead-end rank, you cannot be promoted from Special Jonin.

I think you're thinking of the Dreaming of Sunshine definition, but even there, it's not an absolute dead-end. Being a special jonin means you are acknowledged as an expert in a particular field, which means that no matter how good you get in that field you won't get a promotion for it. But you still can get promoted; you just have to show jonin-level skill in other areas. It's harder than going directly from chunin to jonin directly;
essentially, you have to qualify for without counting your specialty.

I get the feeling we'll be seeing a few missions where its 'team 7 minus Kakashi, who is busy'.

It does make me feel a bit bad for Gai, as the only one who didn't get any of his team promoted.

That probably has to do with Neij getting murked against Gara, in spite of our 'cautious' vote,

It honestly feels like it was never a option after that dice roll, unless Tenten did very brilliantly - which she didn't. At least Neij was able to survive it, which is something i would say for some other genin only if their teachers were Gai fast or Gai was looking out for any Leaf genin (after all, non-leaf genin don't get that blanket here, as Gara killed one in canon).

seals are pretty sick also coolest of the names other than the sword one

Getting a name based on your own skills rather than for the people around you seems pretty sweet.
