Is this grudge-worthy? He has made this beyond a private matter and made a very outrageous and public claim. He's toeing the line. Is there any way we can fucking humble this guy?

We finally complete our Windsight, prepare for the storm to get all that Adamant, and goods for the Dragon Gronti, set up our creation list, and take a look at KKR for shinies!
I like everything except the Khaz stuff now that Ornsmotek is a problem. This is just me spitballing here: We have 3 retainer actions this turn, 4 next turn. There is not feasible way to get training done and help Ornsmotek because we'd need 8 actions total. That's a big oof. So ignoring that, I would put 2 into Ornsmotek to finish, 1 into training. Next turn 1 into Grom, and 3 into training. That makes it much more feasible to finish.

Edit: On second thought, I think we should send them to support Grimgal if she marches. Changed the last retainer AP to reflect that.

My Brother in Thungni, this is very, very minor in the grand scheme of things, as soulcake above noted; the rivalry is known and words exchanged between them is the norm. Both of em both don't like each other, say shit- but in their clash, they both push the limits of runedraft to its utmost!

Dissent? He is in fact, actually doing what's intended of the rivalry: getting him to institutionilise and spread rune knowledge amongst the dawi- and letting them have the choice to remain and be taught so in his Citadel despite his views. Snorri'll grumble but he knows overall: this is good for rhunki as a whole.

We can buy 2 slave wyrms from the elgi market which is way cheaper so you should swap out the blood order for those. I'd also swap the Khaz stuff for the Ornsmotek project but that's just my preference.

I'm completely open to swapping orders and Khaz actions around - they're a bit incidental to the overall narrative thrust, and I just posted the numbers that we needed before the update. Let me have a look at what needs to be fiddled with and I'll get on it.
 
I'm very curious what Thormund cooked up down in Kadrin and if it'll lead to another big building project. It definitely sounds like it. Add in more Underway expansion with Vlag and there's even more infrastructure projects going up.

This turn we should have between 3-5 simple research. With ESP being the major research action of this turn I believe the vibes for those actions will go towards either the light tree, probably 3a, or towards some of the odd mats as Snorri stares at them with his eye. If I could choose I'd throw it at two of the Shrooms, Crystal, and Kraken.
 
Allow me to float a variant plan to the above, with the key points being:
  • Completing Windsight Part 1
  • Our first major forging action with Windsight
  • Our first major forging action with Thungni's Hammer.
  • Forging ourselves magic protective gear explicitly designed to allow us to withstand high magic conditions, and make as much use of the magic that we can without harming ourselves (a threshold that will increase over time thanks to Worldly awarding).
I'm laser focused on what we can learn from windsight applied to the forging process, how that applies to Durin's Consternation, as well as setting ourselves up to safely study and use higher magic phenomena such as Waystones on Turn 59 and beyond.

All other aspects of the plan should be identical - it's a straight swap of waystones+KKR examination for the Aetherbinder forging.

We have *far* better things to do than get into a grudge spiral.
Fine...as long as Vragni keeps it between us and doesn't include either our students or heir. But I think the tactical option is to reveal our possession of Gifts from the Ancestors as incontrovertible to our worthiness. Please keep my suggestion in mind should he actually publicly insult us.

I had two questions now that the turn is over.

1.Since the Animating runes of Skaudardrengi are going to be inscribed onto the walls of a chamber inside of its body, said chamber accessible by a removable plug of adamant, are the runes going to have trouble fueling themselves when the chamber is sealed?

2. The other question is a request for clarification. If we want to have smelters that benefit from the recharge boost of active Waystones, we have to build those smelters close to that Waystone right? This is me trying to make sure you and us are all on the same page. Because us players have been operating on a potentially faulty assumption for awhile that if we turn on a waystone the smelters in Khaz will benefit.

If we gave all 240 members of the Hearthguard Adamant talismans with the Rune of Siphoning (and two other variable runes that are irrelevant for this question), we know that the runes on those individual talismans would recharge faster. Does Snorri think anything extra or weird would happen, beyond that? Like an aura of 'Runes recharge around this company when they march in formation' or the like.
Snorri doesn't think it should. Runes without explicit functionality for that don't change in unexplained ways because there are a lot of them in close proximity. Like having 50 guys with the Three Runes of Fire on all their weapons near each other won't improve the Runes of Fire, it'll make more fire because yeah you have 150 Runes of Fire there, but the functionality of the Runes of Fire on one weapon isn't impacted by the 147 around it. Then again you're dealing with high energy mechanics and Siphoning DOES impact other Runes.

Khazagar is about as close a comparison as you can make, but that's not a good sample for two reasons. Different Runes, even if they're largely comparable, and more importantly the fact that you did an unrepeatable ritual on the site and have no idea if that changed anything. #Mechanics #Runes
