Blake also gets much less anti social over time in canon, and a small core of good friends was kinda key to character development there. We obviously don't have to do the same thing, but I think it would be fun?

i feel like while LH is cool and alivaril obv made them cool... AE still sounds more interesting. Character interaction as opposed to treasure hunting- and there's not really anything saying we can't go to MGLN if we want fancy artifacts later.

This is a pretty good one. They would likely have less issue with our off-plane trips than we thought, not to mention more useful data we and Blake could learn.

sure but

Isolde would also know roughly where to find a smaller number of records if she doesn't already possess personal knowledge of Planeswalkers

I would like to emphasize the smaller bit there. Also, remember that having people research specific topics from a preexisting body of literature is still a full-time job in the modern era; there's a big time difference between "I already know this" and "I know where I can look to find sources that would tell me more."

I like that "if she doesn't have personal knowledge" disclaimer though. Finding someone else who's got mtg color magic or seen cross plane stuff would be a big win?

Yeah, I'm not much of a fan of innuendo either. Here's hoping that LH wins.
I really shouldn't have used that as a scene, huh? ^^; That really isn't representative of what typical interactions would be like; in that possible timeline, Isolde would just be a mischievous shit since serious discussion of motivations akin to Truth and JusticeTM make her slightly uncomfortable.

EDIT: At any rate, I'll leave it open for about 2 more hours and 13 minutes, barring a sudden momentum shift.

tbh, I spent most of my read through laughing, so I'd still call it a fun one to read, thanks for making it.

It still boggles my mind that people see having to read through things like the provided snippet as an upside.
Not being able to comprehend that others might have different preferences and opinions says a lot more about you than about anyone else.

I am able to comprehend that. I am unable to comprehend why they have such preference. Not that I had any issue with any of them (except you attacking me right now) in the first place, thank you very much.
...I think their point is, you absolutely didn't convey that in your framing. The choice of putting "having" in the middle of that sentence, like it was and could only be a grudging chore, really wasn't endearing me to your position for all that I can definitely understand it.

I happened to find that snippet amusing, myself.

Please don't fight. I'm too tired to do the mediating thing right now.

*vaguely waves hand* So I'm on the verge of falling unconscious and Angel's Eye has a comfortable lead now, so you can just assume it'll lock in half an hour even if I don't explicitly repeat that. (Because I might be asleep by then.) EDIT: Actually, I might as well just lock it a few minutes early since I doubt we'll have that many people abruptly appear out of the woodwork in the next 23 minutes.

Could I get a general show of hands for whether people would prefer to ask Angel's Eye about the voices before making a choice (estimated 2-3 weeks before AE is even joined) or whether they want to temporarily interrupt the timeskip for a choice regarding how to handle said voices?

Please note that this isn't a vote – if enough people want a vote interrupt, then we'll have one even if that leads to a vote of "ignore the voices for now."

I feel comfortable asking a tight knit guild about the voices, although I'd like to wait until we know a little more about them? But I would prefer asking them before talking to the voices. Same with LH, I think.

so, get to know them, > ask them about the voices > if the problem isn't solved, try talking to voices > profit?

I'd like to at least start a conversation with the Voices before we mention them, if only because I consider that both less likely to fuck us up than asking other people without proper lead up and because its much quicker to do.

That said, I'd definitely rather at minimum have a better understanding of the various Angel's Eye members and the Messenger in particular before we mention the Voices to them thank you.

Based on the OOC info you provided, it's reasonable to auto-ask, I think. If that's what you are asking.

It was a chore to me, and "having" is supposed to convey that. I thought it obvious that it wasn't a chore to them from the fact that they enjoyed it. Is there a way I could have conveyed all this better?

I'm not opposed to talking about the voices early, but I do still think it should be done after or as part of asking about summoning magic and how it's acquired.

I would prefer not to interrupt the time-skip.

I really have no opinion on the voices themselves. We haven't learned enough about them for me to have an informed opinion.

Until we know more I prefer to ignore them.

I think that talking about voices is something that we should do with Raleigh when we start learning about warlock magic.

I would prefer indirect asking - like if they've heard of cases of possession, if anyone's heard a god in their head (ask the angel this....?) that kinda thing. Seeing reactions to the general concept can inform us a lot?
