Renascence: A Homura Quest

Honorifics or Western-style Titles? I've used both before, which is bothersomely inconsistent

[X] ATTACK!
-[X] Conjure Spear x5
-[X] Conjure Chain
-[X] Enchant them: Flaming, homing.
-[X] Conjure the spears around the monster and throw them at the monster´s Head, left arm and right arm with each spear having a chain tied to it.
[X] With the last remaining spear rush towards his gigantic arm and hammer it down his elbow while enchanting it with a [Explosive] property, fill it with magic and set it to explode right in his elbow, evaporating his arm.
-[X] Use chain barrier to protect yourself and nanoha from the explosion, as soon as you´re able grab her and retreat to a safe place, cleanse as soon as possible while making sure she´s okay.

Rough plan, ideas and criticism are welcome!

This will most likely fail.
Still best overall plan I have seen so shall go with it.

I'm not actually assuming that, I'm pointing out that "attacking from within" may not actually work.
Only doesnt work if we actually let him regenerate. The idea is to delay that.

Lets look at the facts of the situation.

Herk is regenerating. Depending on how severe the wound is, that'll take up to about 20-30 seconds if we're lucky. Hopefully, Herk has no arm control till that occurs, so his death grip on Nanoha won't become lethal till then.

He has a hole in him. So long as that hole is open, we can do more damage.

Once Herk heals, we're potentially fucked depending on how cruel Higure is, because he gains DR 400 or so against something. If we're lucky, its specifically against Lancea Rosso (is that the right name?). If we aren't? Its verse all piercing attacks, which means we've slashed in half the number of attacks period that work.

Our best option requires we delay that regeneration. Herk regenerates, its good night.

It may be good to have it as [] Crow since Ill probably be editing it a lot in the future depending on how the discussion goes.

You are probably right in that it needs polishing so.

I researched it quite a bit. As best as I can tell, god hand only grants boosted DR AFTER Heracles finishes healing from the original attack.

Big giveaway is when Rin kills him: She kills him multiple times with her gems. He heals. She can no longer kill him with those after that.

Despite that, Illya tells Rin that she might have finished him if she had used them all right away.

This implies that he is still vulnerable for a short period after the initial killing.

So, the best (slightly bizarre explanation), is that he loses additional lives if the attack would have been sufficient to deal lethal damage multiple times over.

No, that doesn't make a ton of sense, but it's all I can make of it.

Was unaware the hole already sealed shut. Godhand's only on his skin, judging from Archer and Blackened Herk.
Its not a bad plan, another way to kill him would be to impale him with extreme prejudice and do as BerserCu does and make more spears(in flames and acid and maybe explosive) spam from his insides.

... ... ... So if saber had done the smart thing and kept on attacking him before he fully regenerated she would have won..... my God what RPG gamer would have not just keep on hacking/killing until the regeneration stopped..... Well I have lost a large chunk of respect that I had for Saber.

Think of it this way. Godhand allows for the existence of negative hp. One Godhand life restores 1000 hp. If Herks hp is still negative (or 0), it pops another life and keeps healing. If hp is 0 or less and no more lives, he dies.

This is why Gae Bolg can only ever kill him once, even boosted. It deals damage equal to Herks HP.

Well, no, because as previously noted, Invisible Air harming him at all is a Ufotable addition. In the VN fight, it fails to harm him.

I don't like Saber much, but that's not really something she can be blamed for, seeing as life isn't an RPG game.

Ah yes, because continuing to hit a Berserker at close range is such a good idea. Especially when he has Battle Continuation A, meaning that he's still resilient enough not to die easily.
