Here is my prepared google doc from a year ago, copy pasted and with color added:

For the purpose of the following Colored Truths, "Trace" refers specifically to using projection magecraft with the 7 steps developed by Emiya Shirou (i.e. Judging the concept of creation, Hypothesising the basic structure, etc.).

Sayaka can learn to Trace weapons that aren't already recorded in Archer's Reality Marble.

Sayaka can learn to Trace weapons that aren't already recorded in Archer's Reality Marble without having the weapon in the physical space around her to use as reference.

Sayaka can learn to Trace the Progressive Knife.

Sayaka can learn to Trace Heartstopper.

Sayaka can learn to Trace the Lance of Longinus (referring to the version of the weapon appearing in this quest, not to the Nasuverse version of the weapon)

Magical Girls (besides a hypothetical meguca EMIYA Sayaka) can learn Structural Analysis.

Magical Girls (besides a hypothetical meguca EMIYA Sayaka) can learn Tracing.

A Magical Girl can learn to utilize World Egg Theory to summon their Witch's Barrier as a Reality Marble.

Now that the Sayaka questions are out of the way…

The person Homura met in the Velvet Room, referring to himself as Igor, is not an imposter.

I have to check, because he called the place "my Velvet Room" at one point, and in Persona, the real Igor never claims ownership of the place, with the fact that an imposter calls it "my Velvet Room" being one of the hints he is an imposter.

The changes to the appearance of objects Homura enchants in recent chapters is due at least in part to the Ego enchantment.

Because it makes them look more like 'real magical girl weapons.'

These were not blue text in the original post, yet you posted them as red text in your own post, Higure. Is that intentional, ie they are Red Truths? Or are they a mistake in coloring the text?

EDIT: And for some reason, the system decided to make it white text when I was quoting it.

I got real answers to almost everything I wanted to know! I was worried I had made some obvious mistake in my formulation of Blue Truths, but I have succeeded.
Thank you, witch, for cutting into the space of mystery.

Nah, that was an error. Thanks!

Good to see you back my friend, I'll eagerly be rereading the quest in preparation for any new updates. Do remember to pace yourself though, burnout is never fun.

Re:Nascence - A Girl in Blue
You step out of the hospital feeling satisfied, having managed to talk a collection of medical texts out of your doctor. You've gone too far long without studying medicine--particularly cardiology--and now is as good a time as any. You always have some downtime, after all, and you're tired of darkening your Soul Gem to keep your decrepit body in decent condition.

It's going to be a lot to learn very quickly, but you think it might be worth it. If nothing else, maybe you can improve your rudimentary healing spells a bit.

'Spells. That still sounds a bit silly. Kyouko was adamant though, and I don't know of anything better to call them. Techniques? Abilities? No, spells will do.'

You absent-mindedly begin making your way to the train station. You'd best get home and begin making plans, so that you can stay on top of things this loop.

"Hey there, Akemi-san! Finally out of that place, huh?" Sayaka's voice breaks your contemplation, and you turn in surprise to see her running up towards you, smiling and waving as she does so.

You scramble to get into character, "It is, yes." She blinks slightly, catching your calmer tone, and you quickly affect a stammer again, "I-I'm just heading to the train station. Is there something wrong?"

"I just realized that, seeing you're only just getting out, you probably don't have your supplies and everything! For school, I mean. Oh, and there's a cool arcade we should check out! I hang out with my friends there sometimes, and they've got…" You tune her out for a moment, scanning her body language. She's nervous, but seems excited. Worried about letting Kamijo down, or about trying to play Senpai for you?

"…so I was thinking that I could show you around town today! How about it, Akemi-san?" You return to the moment as she gets to the point, and nod after a moment of hesitation. You normally spend your first day prepping, but that's not time sensitive. If this opportunity can help you build a good rapport with this stubborn girl, then you'd be remiss to let it get away.

You do need to get your apartment rented first, though. If you don't get the paperwork done tonight, it'll be taken tomorrow.

You plaster on your best fake smile, "Th-that sounds nice! I-I can't today, though. I have to go find an apartment. M-maybe tomorrow? Oh, um, do you know if your complex has any openings?" You're fairly certain it doesn't, but living closer might be useful this loop, if it does.

She goes very still at that, mouth slightly open as she stares at you. 'Disbelief? Maybe she wasn't ready to be turned down? I can smooth this over.'

"I'm really sorry, I--"

"WHAT KIND OF PARENT MAKES A 14 YEAR GIRL OLD LIVE ALONE!?" Her roar of indignation cuts you off abruptly.

That was not what you expected, as her sudden shout echoes through the streets, and you find yourself thankful there aren't many people out and about.

You try to object, "N-no, really! It's alright! My parents don't live around here, and they're paying for all of my needs! I just have to--"

You're cut off again as she bulldozes over your argument, having the nerve to literally cover your mouth and silence you. Luckily for her, you don't generally lose your temper anymore.

"No! I won't hear of it! Someone new like you shouldn't be trapped all alone in some random apartment! I'm going to call my Mom, she's going to say yes, and then you're going to stay with me, okay?"

You just stare, genuinely shocked by this turn of events, and she seems to realize how absurd what she just said was, backpedaling, "Oh. I-I mean, if that's okay with you? If not, I can maybe ask some of my friends if they've got a spare room or something, if you don't want to stay with me, I mean. I just--"

You're not really sure what to make of this, but it's a new path, one you've never taken before.

It's at least worth a try, you decide.

"Are you sure? I-I mean, really sure? I don't want to live alone if I don't have to, and I'd like to get to know you better, but are you sure your parents won't mind?" Her father's dead, as far as you know, but you certainly shouldn't know that. You're also certain that Miho Miki will be quick to take in a lonely girl in need of help. She's always been a sharp contrast to her hostile and distrustful daughter, the few times you've met.

Then again, maybe you just never really knew Sayaka.

She laughs at your worry, "Hah! Yeah right. Mom would kill me if I didn't bring you home with me, or at least find you a good place to live. Follow me! The train's not heading towards home, so we might as well leg it--um, you're allowed to walk that far, right? Kyousuke mentioned your heart?"

You pause, still trying to figure out the best way to interact with this side of her, "Yes. I can walk as far as will be necessary." Wait, no, you shouldn't know how far away she lives, and that was way too calm. You need to cover for that quickly. "I-I mean, that's what the doctor said, at least. So I guess it should be fine? I'm cleared to attend Gym when I get into school, too, so…"

She frowns slightly, revealing a familiar suspicion, but smiles anyway, "Heh, those doctors can sure be stiffs, huh?" She looks at you, face a parody of stoicism, "Yes. I can walk as far as will be necessary." Now she's mocking the way you talk. 'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, after all.'

Then she throws an arm over your shoulder, smiling at you. The contact sends a pricking sensation up your spine. That's far too intimate for your liking, especially from Sayaka, but you do your best to tolerate it.

"Let's go then! Follow me!" She takes your wrist and starts running off to the west, towards her home, and you do your best to stumble along helplessly, even thought you'd much prefer to just pick her up and roof-hop your way over.

'This is going to be a long loop.'

For the hour that follows, you stumble and stroll your way there, taking numerous short detours as Sayaka suddenly remembers one "important" bit of local history or another, leaving you more than a tad bored, but you do arrive eventually at her apartment.

"Alright, this is it! Come on in, and I'll show you around! Mom's probably home, so I'll introduce you!"

Miho Miki

messenger
Sayaka : "Hey Mom! So, there's a girl who's just checked out of the hospital, and her folks apparently intend to just send her to an empty apartment. She's obviously not super eager to ask for help, but I'm not gonna take no for an answer! Would you mind if we put her up in the guest room for a while?"
You : "Could you just get a cat or something? ;-) Yes, of course we can put a roof over her head for a bit, but I'll need to talk to her parents about it. What's her name?"
Sayaka : "Homura Akemi. She's really nervous and looks pretty frail, but I think she's gonna be pretty cool when she get's out of her shell. There's this…it's silly to say this, but there's a kinda weird presence about her? You know? Should I get her parents phone numbers?"
Sayaka : "Mom? You there?"
You : "I'm here, honey. Don't worry, I recognize the name. We'll get it worked out. Just keep her busy for a while on the way here, and…don't tell her about this until I've worked things out with her parents. Just in case, okay?"
Sayaka : "Can do! I'll take her sightseeing! Love you, Mom!"
You : "Love you too!"

I sigh as I look back over the old messages. They should be here soon. I am just a bit worried about keeping the Akemi heir in my apartment--particularly without telling her about the details--but her mother was insistent that Homura should have the chance to "get away with something." She seemed positively proud of her daughter for going against her own plans.

flashback
"Hello? Miki-san, was it?" The woman's voice sounds slightly strained, as if she's in the middle of something. I try not to show my nervousness--we've only met once before, and that was barely an interaction. I'm surprised her phone recognized my number.

"Yes, that's right. Umm…my daughter Sayaka seems to have invited yours to stay with us for a while. Would that be okay? She seems very eager, and it's my understanding that Homura doesn't have anyone waiting for her." Anger creeps into my voice, to my horror.

There's a long pause, and I worry I've just ruined this, but she speaks again a moment later, strain gone and replaced with an aggressive cheeriness, "Ah! Oh, sorry about that. We're in the middle of a dig. Yes, I'm aware of the situation--I didn't exactly leave her without a minder, whatever she may have thought." She chuckles slightly, "But I think it's good that Homura gets out from under our thumb for a bit! She's finally getting to grow up and rebel some! To think for herself, and make her own decisions, instead of being dragged around by her father or manipulated by me! Besides, while I certainly could have her watched twenty-four seven, I think she might notice if I kept doing that outside of the hospital, much less in whatever place she chooses to live. Although, I guess that's sort of what you're for, so that works out!"

I feel cold, "Oh. I see. Umm…anything special I should do?"

"Nope! Just take care of her, okay? And don't report back to me unless there's a real emergency. She needs a chance to be happy, and…well, I'm not really good at that." Her voice gains a kind of lilt to it, almost sounding sad, "You know, my love is…he's always trying to keep himself in check. He's a passionate man, and his emotions frighten him, I think."

I wonder why she's telling me this. This seems terribly personal to share with a stranger.

"I'm different, though. Everything becomes very simple, if I let it. Emotions get quietly compartmentalized where they can't trouble me, and suddenly everything and everyone is a problem to be solved. You're different, though, based on my notes on you."

"N-notes?" I'm sure my fear is audible, now.

"Yes, certainly! Your daughter regularly visits my Homura's hospital! Of course I looked into you! And everyone else, obviously. You're a good mother, Miki-san. Better than me. You can just let your heart beat, and do what's right. My daughter needs that. Not a man forced to be a pillar of discipline, or an obsessive, calculating woman like me."

Her tone is still horribly cheery, and sounds genuine, but I choose to believe it's a façade. For Homura's sake.

"Alright, I will then. She'll want to see you again soon, though, I'm sure. When will you be back?" I ask, unsure what answer I'm hoping for.

There's a long pause, but she eventually answers, "Mmm…a couple of months, at least. This is an important time of transition in Homura's life, and she should get the chance to make her own choices." She seems pained, saying that.

Even as I find myself going to close my drapes, expecting to see someone watching from a nearby rooftop, I find myself pitying her. If I'm reading her right, which I think I am, she's genuinely trying to protect her daughter from her own influence. As unnerving as Kamiko Akemi is, I don't think Homura's life will actually be better without her.

"I'll take care of her. Come home soon, though." I say softly, repeating my earlier sentiment with a bit more sincerity, and a small noise of affirmation is all she provides before hanging up.

If that woman is only an Akemi by marriage, then I imagine her daughter's going to be even more of a handful.

I hear the door open, and Sayaka's voice, "Mama, we're home!"

I make my way out of my bedroom and into the foyer, "Welcome home, Sayaka! Wait...we?" I feign ignorance, glancing at Homura Akemi, "Oh! Hello, are you one of Sayaka's friends?"

The Akemi girl is not what I expected. She does have that same paradoxical gravitas to her as her grandfather, but it's barely noticeable with how pitiful she looks. I wonder if her visible fretting and nervousness is her parents' fault, or the hospital's.

"--I told her she was coming to live with us." I emerge from my reverie in time to catch Sayaka's closing words, and smirk at her, pride swelling as she puts me on the spot in spite of our earlier conversation. Good of her, to watch out for her new friend.

"That's my girl." I ruffle my daughter's hair, then kneel down and look the Akemi heir in the eye, "Nice to meet you, Homura-chan! Welcome home!"

Oddly, I mean it. I've never met this girl, but something about her is very familiar, as i stare into those eyes.

'She's been out in the cold a long time, hasn't she?' I think, glimpsing a tremendous weariness in her expression, although I can't imagine even her time in the hospital could make a young girl seem so old.

She smiles, eyes widening slightly as if surprised at herself, "Thank you, Miki-san."

I reach up, and ruffle her hair, just like I do Sayaka's. It's incredibly silky, and I can't help but think the braids need to go.

I offer to let her share Sayaka's room for the night--my daughter's not a selfish girl, I know--but she objects, trying to talk me into letting her sleep on the couch. I give her a look to end that nonsense, and then leave Sayaka to show Homura around. Best to let them get used to each other.

Somehow, I get the feeling this arrangement may last a while, unfortunately.

I can't remember, did we get much about Homura's parents the first time around? I do remember we got to learn a lot about her grandfather, obviously, and I think the Nervegear was a gift from her dad, but the details are hazy.

I suppose a reread is in order.

Her dad is one of the big wigs in the company making SAO iirc. I don't think we got much about her mom though.

I don't remember getting anything about her mum. I did have an Omake idea I never actually acted on to try and make Homura's mom be Rei Hino, but this obviously throws that idea out the window...and to be honest, I think this idea might be a bit more interesting in the long run.

No clue, myself. From her being on a dig I presumed some sort of archeologist, but then the references to having Homura watched at all times and checking out anyone she comes in contact with...that seems to suggest something more government or yakuza oriented. Or at least obscenely wealthy. A google search brings up nothing from the name, and anime is a bit too wide to try and search for just Kamiko without any other references to work from. And that assumes its from an anime and its related industries. Add in video games, light novels with no anime adaptions yet, live action fiction shows...

I kind of assumed she was an OC (do not steal), though possibly drawing inspiration from a pre-existing character (that I would probably not know).

If she is an OC it doesn't even necessarily need to be inspired from a pre-existing character, but rather from a place you know a character had to have existed. Example, I'm pretty sure there's no equivalent character for Homura's father mentioned in SAO, but the simple fact that a company made those devices means that there had to be some people working on the design that weren't important enough to the story to appear. Thus Higure was able to slot the girl's father into that hole we know had to have been filled by something.

So...that expands the search on what Kamiko is from even further when you then realize you have to figure out where there are holes in worldbuilding because that part of the universe wasn't important to the story that someone can create OCs to fill.

…So you're saying Kamiko leads the Yakuza Homura keeps stealing from.

Seems legit!

EDIT: Also, Re:Renascence day! Callooh! Callay!

Re:Nascence Sidestory - The Dig
Kamiko Akemi

Wiping the sweat from my brow, I hang up on Miho Miki. She will be better for Homura, for now at least. The girl will benefit from learning how to be human, and I am a poor tool for that purpose.

In a couple of months, I can return and make sure she knows I love her. By that point, she'll likely be well-attached to the Mikis, and I can let her lean on them as much as needed for the emotional support her father and I are ill-suited to provide.

It does not help that her grandfather poisoned her against my husband, but I suppose that was inevitable.

Honestly, a lifetime of conflict over clocks of all things.

Well, whatever, I'll make sure that Homura gets what she needs to be happy and successful, no matter what.

"Doctor Akemi, we found something!"

I narrow my eyes at the junior researcher as she interrupts my thoughts, but then recall the matter at hand as I look over the expansive Aztec ruin, and the poor, timid brunette kneeling down cautiously in the soil beside the rest of our team.

"Oh, what did you find? I'd imagine it must be important, since you found the courage to interrupt me." I answer, pleased that they've found something of value enough to make this one grow a spine.

She seems suddenly fearful, however, and I realize that likely seemed threatening, "So!" I resume my usual cheery deception, but I think she's onto me, sadly, "If it's so interesting, let's take a look!"

I hurry over, kneeling down into the dust next to her with care. She hesitantly points down at a stone object that her brush has revealed.

"It doesn't stylistically resemble any other art objects we've seen from the era." The researcher states the facts clearly, but remains too timid to state the conclusion she has clearly reached.

"And?" I press her, for her own good.

She hesitates, "I think it's probably an Aberration."

I nod in agreement, as I carefully take a brush to the stone mask, revealing the long spikes leading from its back, "Yes, almost certainly. Notice these spines--the stone shows patterns of wear and tear that make no sense for a normal stone object. However, if one assumes they can extend in some manner…"

She slowly nods, examining it closely, but probably only trusting my analysis, "Supernatural in some way, then. What should we do?"

"Take it back to the lab for testing, and decide from there. No one's putting it on, though. Those spines seem far too likely to pierce someone's brain. Perhaps Matthew."

She gives me a wide-eyed stare of horror as I joke about having one of her less skilled peers wear the mask, and I flick her forehead in annoyance, eliciting a flinch as I explain, "I was joking, Alice. Matthew is still a skilled researcher, and a human being besides."

She seems uncertain, staring at my face as if thinking to find some answer in my expression. As if I'd actually show something I didn't want to.

Eventually, casting her eyes down, she answers, "Of course, Doctor Akemi."

I shake my head, sighing, "Well, let's unearth this. Be careful not to damage anything else as we do so--this is an Aberration, but those are actual relics. Probably."

She scrambles for her tools, nearly falling over herself as she does so, and we get to our work.

Ok, as someone utterly ignorant of JoJo beside the ubiquitous memes and the occasionnal Death Battle analysis, what are we in for?

If someone puts on the mask, they become a particularly weird type of vampire.

Sunlight kills them, but beyond that they become blatantly superhuman and can do shit like turn their skin close to absolute zero to freeze you on contact or fire boiling liquid out of their eyes like laser vision.

If it expands beyond just the masks, vampires are the least of the worries.
