855: "No Blood."

    While you'd like to get in contact with Shoji as soon as you can, you're currently carrying one (1) Kyoko. You'll have to wait until you're inside to set Kyoko down on the couch or... something. You'll figure it out once you're inside.

    Kohaku walks just ahead of you, and opens the door. As soon as she steps inside, you hear Grandma gasp.

    "What happened?" She asks as she approaches your bloodied friend, "You're not hurt, are you?"

    "I... No. We..." Kohaku stumbles over her words, avoiding eye contact.

    "It's over. The cult is leaderless." You finish for her, "It was..." Deep breath, "...We won."

    "You two won." Kyoko corrects, "I was what got them into that whole shebang."

    "On that note, uh, you..." You think of just how to word your thoughts, "...You wouldn't happen to know how to get blood out of clothes, would you?"

    Grandma nods, "I'm a little rusty in that particular area, but yes. I'll handle your clothes, you just get washed up."

    "Oh, uh, alright!" You nod, "Kohaku, you should go first! I can wait, honest!"

    Kohaku hesitates for a moment, then nods, heading off to the bathroom. Then, you set Kyoko down on the couch, and--

    "No." Grandma stops you before you sit next to her, "No blood on the couch."

    You blink. She was just across the room a moment ago. "How'd you--?"

    "No blood. On my nice couch." She reiterates.

    You simply nod in response.

    This seems to please Grandma, as she turns away and shuffles back to her original position.

    "...Your Grandma scares me, Yumi." Kyoko mutters to you.

    "Understandable." You mutter back, before you both hazard a glance at Grandma.

    She waves happily to you.

    You slowly turn back to each other.

    Kyoko sighs, "So, I'm guessin' you're wondering how I got... Got?"

    "Hey, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." You almost put your hand on her shoulder, but stop. "B-But, if you wanna--?"

    "They jumped me. There. Let's leave it at that." Kyoko quickly finishes.

    "...Okay." You nod to her, pulling your phone out.

    >YOU->Shoji: We're back at Grandma's. Let's meet back up there.

    ...Sent. Now, how to kill time until Kohaku's done in the shower...

    ...I mean technically the shotgun might not just "shoot things". Depends on the ammo.

Get angry. At first, I believed it was because they were disappointing in their movements, but now..."

    "Hey, Grandma?" You ask her, "So, I met this demon that was sealed inside of a TV--?"

    "Ah, Mithras?" Grandma smiles fondly, "Oh, that feels like a lifetime ago! See, it was just at the beginning of your mother's career..."

    "Ryoko, I'm losing ground!" You growl out as Mithras pushes you back in a blade lock, "Whatever you're doing, hurry the hell up!!"

    "Keep your damn pants on!" She shouts back, digging for something in the window of a store, "I need a-- Here we go!"

    Both you and the demon glance to see what Ryoko has produced from the--

    "What kind of joke is this?" Mithras pushes you aside, "Are you attempting to confuse me?"

    "Nope!" Ryoko grins, showing all of her teeth, "Have fun in the 'tube, bud!"

    (RYOKO CASTS: SEALING GLYPH)

    "No!" Mithras shouts as he's pulled into the TV by tendrils of light, "Ryoko Konishi, you will rue the day you stood against me! I swear upon my--!!"

    The air goes quiet. Ryoko sighs, and jumps up from her seated position, "Did you see me do that?!" She laughs as she almost skips over to you, "Now begins the legend of Ryoko Kuzunoha!"

    "I thought it was Ryoko Konishi?" You grin.

    Her eyes narrow. "W-We're just dating, Raido! I only said that because I drew a blank! Besides, I didn't want to give a demon my full name! And...!"

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    "So, she would've sealed him in anything else?" You ask, crossing your arms.

    "That television simply happened to be there, yes." Grandma nods, "But enough about that, I... Oh, hello, Kohaku."

    Kohaku waves slightly, wearing a different set of clothes, "Hey...!" She tries to keep a smile, "Shower's open...!"

    I can tell a young Raido would probably be asking if he can keep Yumi and send Ryoko back to the future in her place. In that half joking manner siblings have of course.

    "Knew your mother, yes?" Grandma nods slowly, "She was one of your mother's demons once upon a time. When she... Passed, Raido collected and dismissed her demons, sending them back to their realm. Although he couldn't find-- Oh, forget it. Anahita isn't a liar."

    "...Okay, good!" Kohaku sighs a breath of relief, "Now I don't feel as worried about Shoji...!"

    (INT ROLL: 12+9)

    Some of her energy has returned, but she still doesn't seem to be in tip top shape. You'll talk to her after you wash up.

    "Alright, I'm hitting the showers, I'll be out quick!" You wave, heading for the bathroom. You round the corner, and...

    "Yumi Konishi." Kyubey sits in front of the door, "I see that this little "cult" as you called them is dealt with?"

    You step over him, "We'll talk later. I'm gonna clean up."

    "Very well." Kyubey remains seated in front of the bathroom as you close the door.

    You shake your head as you check to see if Shoji replied yet...

    ...Well, Shoji's never been one for text conversation. It can't really be helped, you suppose.

    After getting ready, you step into the shower. It might be a good idea to start planning the rest of your day...
