But they would be? They are pretty much in the same room if my estimate of the floorplan is at all correct. The T.V. with the consol should be in the living room.
Honestly, I thought the implication of the winning vote was that Kohaku would be 100% alone, which is why she's texting Yumi about demons that will anywhere between being dealt with in 5 minutes to wipe the building off the face of the Earth.

What's with that other cult that was being confused by the one that wants Kohaku?

I'd like to just point out three little things, and ask one little question:

Items exist. They break the game in SMT V and are hardly useless in any game where they exist and you get enough money to buy them.

What else, besides Beads(!), did Kohaku take with her?

This (and her ability to outrun Okame however as long as she did) is why I don't make assumptions about Kohaku's ability to defend herself. I just vote for things that make sure that she survives long enough to use anything... but Yumi-blender is OP, so Kohaku never needs to play Batwoman. :p

As for who to know more about... I'm still suspicious about Yuma's teacher. She's waaaaay too together after what happened, and she still has her memories of the event. My estimation of her being Just Another Human is hovering somewhere around 10%.

I don't really want to plan on more hypothetical Kohaku hacking in items tbh. Our side is kind of stacked as is already.

Also, Yumi is literally in the next city over, so Yumi isn't getting here anytime soon.

If Kohaku has bs items, weird she didn't use them, but great! More power to us.

Honestly, considering our allies and our current growth, it's kinda hard to imagine us losing to any actual antagonist unless we actually sabotage ourselves. RPG mechanics makes scaling harder imo cause of hax or destructive potential.

All humans keep their memories. They just end up justifying it as a hallucination. Kyubey doesn't wipe memories in this fic.

Also, if the teacher was a demon, we likely would've detected her already on our gauntlet, considering we've picked up Yuma every day for a while now.

Teacher is too old to be a MG, and if she is a disciple, she's too weak to do jack shit cause she should've kidnapped Yuma already back when Kohaku dropped off Yuma, then do a ransom of Kohaku for Yuma or something.

Fun Facts 12: The MMO That Somehow Still Has An Active Player Base
I wanna know more about Yumi's mom!
1. Ryoko's favorite color is crimson ("No, Takeshi! Red and crimson are totally different!")! Her first fancy dress, which she wore on one of her first dates, was this color!

Kyubey. Definitely Kyubey.
2. Kyubey has had his eye on Nagisa for a while, and was slightly inconvenienced by you saving her mother. But I'm sure you already knew that (And take great pride in giving him the finger.).

Hot take, Abe no Seimei.
3...?. I honestly can't find much about Abe-no-Seimei, aside from the fact that he was a Persona in Persona 2 (both of them). I assume it's all in Raidou's page, but I don't have enough time to look. So, uh... Abe-no-Seimei seems to be pretty similar to Haruki Kuzunoha, at least personality wise.

Well, right now I'd like to know more about Shoji.
4. As interested as he is in MMORPG Games, he doesn't play them. He'd much prefer to play DnD and actually build a world with his friends.

Getting some insight into a big background figure like Eris would be neat.
5. Eris is the goddess of strife and chaos, but she has a surprisingly strict way of doing things. Many weak demons throw themselves at her feet to serve her. Eris simply walks over them.

Is there something tentacular and friendly, in not-Mara way?
6. No.

Nero and the troubles of going to Japan.
7. That isn't canon, but I can't imagine getting an entire van across the sea would be easy. Poor Nero might get seasick, or planesick.

8. Sometimes, when she had a moment, Kohaku would sketch pretty flowers she saw. She's not the best artist you've ever seen, but she's getting there.

As for who to know more about... I'm still suspicious about Yuma's teacher.
9. Ms. Koizumi is surprisingly put together during all of this, but on the inside, she's panicking. She just knows how to put up a front, if only to avoid scaring the kids.

10. Nori is still struggling to get the hang of summoning.

  • [X] What would Yumi do? "I guess, first talk to them and verify their intentions? I think Yumi's said something about some friendly demons in the area."
    -[X] And what would Yumi cause me fewer heartattacks if she did? "Inform Yumi of the situation, update her on where they are and that you're going to talk to them when that comes up. Don't provoke them, if they're not hunting or hurting anyone. If they prove hostile and you're overmatched, tactical retreat, call for backup, hide your trail."
    --[X] And what would keep Yumi from having a heartattack over me? "...try not to get too far away from here during all that, I guess? The kids can protect themselves some, but..."

623: fear.
[X] What would Yumi do?

"...I guess we could try to talk to them?" You suggest, eliciting a surprised stare from Virtue, "Y'know, verify their intentions? I think Yumi found some friendly demons in the area."

"Diplomacy first, then?" Virtue smiles slightly, "I am sure Master Yumi would agree."

"Oh, speaking of her..." You add hastily, "Shoot her a message about the situation! A-And keep her updated! Take care not to instigate anything if they aren't malicious, but you're to fall back if you're outmatched, okay?" Gosh, is this what Yumi does all the time? You have no idea how she manages it all!

"My sentiments exactly." Virtue nods, "I shall tend to the situation."

"Um, before you go!" You stop Virtue just as he turns to leave, "Try to stay close! I know that Yuma can defend herself, but--?"

"I understand." Virtue interrupts, "I shall deal with this swiftly and accordingly." With that, he floats out the door, closing it behind him.

"I can fight, too!" Nagisa looks up at you, a little peeved, "I have magic!"

You gasp slightly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"No daughter of mine shall wield the vile power of demons!" Another lash, "Your corruption shall be hidden, you shall not stain my name!"
You don't understand. All you did was light a candle.
"Answer me, heathen!" Another lash, "I shall bleed this evil from you! One!" Another, "Lash!" Another, "At a time!" Another, "If you dare show your horrible secret to anyone, they will surely be put to death, and you severely punished!" Another, "Do you understand, you insolent child?! That handmaiden is dead because of you!" Another, "Her blood stains your hands!" Another.
You make the horrible mistake of wincing audibly.
"Does it hurt?!" Another, "I pray you take this pain into your blackened soul!" Another, "I hope you remember the price..." Another, "...Of this betrayal of faith!" Another, "If you were not needed to bring the Messiah into the world, I would surely put you to death!" Another, "Instead, I grant you this mercy!" Another.
You relent. You simply slump against the cell wall, waiting for another.
The door opens behind you, "You will remain here until I deem you fit to breathe in my Disciples' presence." He slams it shut.
You look around the room as you hear Father storm off. Naught but chains and shackles, aside from old stains of blood.
The shackles are cold around your wrists. But that's the point, isn't it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You take a step back out of reflex. Nagisa looks confused.

"...Ms. Kohaku?" She tilts her head, "Is something wrong?"

[] What will you do, my daughter?

Now, either Father Hino's gone full on hypocrite with all the magic involved with the Disciples, or he was intentionally trying to keep Kohaku weak and subservient by trying to gaslight her into his subservient pawn. And the effects are clearly still palpable since he's subconsciously whispering into her ear.

[X] Hug Nagisa

I.. what… but that makes no sense wtf? I thought that this guy would be like some kind of super schemer but no, he's just crazy.
That makes no ducking sense whatsoever when he uses literal demon magic.

Welcome to the lawful faction

They have a stick so far into their asses that it probably impales the brain and are outright murder maniacs if you ever dare to refute them.

At least chaos faction admits they are murder maniacs.
