A training room barrier. What specifically was this thing that our spell hit and how strong was it? Just curious.
The second one she hits is the barrier pointing towards the surface.

As if betraying the walking WMD was ever going to end in anything but blood, fire, and tears.
True, I think someone going to get fired for sending those man in harm's way because I really don't see Karen ordering it considering her people's skills, she would stop Cerys herself, words at first but could let them go since any actions would trash the base and reducing manpower even more. You know giving space and all.As if betraying the walking WMD was ever going to end in anything but blood, fire, and tears.
We literally just got shown evidence that Karen is a ruthless, cold-blooded bitch, and your interpretation of things is "Oh, I don't think she'd do that"?True, I think someone going to get fired for sending those man in harm's way because I really don't see Karen ordering it considering her people's skills, she would stop Cerys herself, words at first but could let them go since any actions would trash the base and reducing manpower even more. I think Jrin was more along the lines of "There's no way she'd actually go against the damn planet would she?"We literally just got shown evidence that Karen is a ruthless, cold-blooded bitch, and your interpretation of things is "Oh, I don't think she'd do that"?
Have we been reading the same updates?
Karen's problem was that she was neither methodically ruthless enough about maintaining control, nor honest and genuine enough in her offer of alliance. In the latter case, she would never have to deal with a betrayed Cerys because she would not have lied to and betrayed her in the first place, while in the former case one of the first things she should have done would have been to assign Una (and later Daiyu) permanent "guard" details both to outwardly appear to be keeping her word and also give her instant hostages on demand should Cerys ever act out.I think Jrin was more along the lines of "There's no way she'd actually go against the damn planet would she?"
And to be fair that seems pretty stupid, I hope we don't slowly see her spiral out of control now that she's starting to lose control. I mean she just lost four magical girls, had her base torn open, dead enforcers, a public disaster, and the counter force is about to knock on her front door. That is a lot to have on one's plate. I want Karen to be smart about this and not be desperate.
I think Karen trust Cerys to an extent since she may be a kid but she's mature enough to raise Una by herself.Karen, for whatever reason, didn't take the appropriate precautions against the entirely predictable results of her betrayal and manipulation of Cerys. This means that either she could not, for some reason we do not know (and I can't think of any good ones), or simply didn't think to do so (which is the opposite of smart).
You know if this is a Karen Negaverse quest, the players voted thinking Cerys could handle the truth but they rolled poorly for her reaction, that would be an epic meltdown, I mean can you imagine the time they invested trying to increase Cerys affection level but dice being all tsundere.
Thinking back not mentioning the full details of the false vow is quite SV too, guess we are playing with an SV Karen.
Except that, you know, those were all lies. From her end, at least.

The update for that one would basically just be a scene of Karen laying things out, Cerys going "okay", and then a scene cut to ten minutes later, where your mages are dead, your clocktower is blown up, and everything left is on fire.
When you put it like that, it sounds really frustrating on Karen's end. Like people have already said, that's just what happens when your methodology dealing with the imouto-morality WMD is so wishy-washy.The update for that one would basically just be a scene of Karen laying things out, Cerys going "okay", and then a scene cut to ten minutes later, where your mages are dead, your clocktower is blown up, and everything left is on fire.

Yes.
Nah, they rolled 97 and rejoiced... then all maluses piled up and dragged it down to seventeen and ?? passing number being 80. "THAT high? Uhhuh..." (C) NegaPlayers. "At least you were nice enough with her previously and dodged minus two. THAT would've been sight to see!" What about all the retcons to scenes that were dependent on how powerful it was?Levels now cost 10xp per rather than 15, shop items have increased in price since they were too low and I'm going to be giving Juggernaut Wave an overhaul.
Yes, that means that a low level story won't have a spell that increases in damage by over 100,000 per level.
Since the damage has dropped the cool-down has also been lowered accordingly.
Target Army has been removed and XP refunded with an additional 50% for the hassle.
yes
it hasn't been nerved that hard that that would be necessary. mostly future growth was nerved. What about all the retcons to scenes that were dependent on how powerful it was?
even target:Army spells do not hit everywhere. would need omnipresent for that (which is likely to kill our allies). We havent really had the chance to even use the Target:Army part of it so its not really that big of an impact. Makes the future demon invasion more risky when we cant just flatten everything from the sky.
And since it has been brought to my attention, I really should get around to fixing some of the erroneous shit in my quest.

I really don't know what I was thinking with that tbh, this has been a fix long in waiting.
(Note: Character Page might change back and forth for the rest of the day while I tweak things.)
