Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

I'm talking about ending up as her champions Hero and Weapon than Solid Core's future role if we are going to go on following her orders. I am hoping for Cerys to reintegrate with humanity's future forces once WW3 is over against the demons.
To be fair, Hero WEAPON is still hanging out at Solid Core's base and no one seems to have a problem with her or Gaia being there. Fighting with humankind and fighting for Gaia are not mutually exclusive... at least not in the future.

Come on, I'm questioning her even if she is Mother.
Really mostly reaction to the first and last bits.

How is Karen managing to spin it a good thing, and what are you on about with the main quest being WEAPON quest? Mainquest is counterforce quest, this is WEAPON quest.

Is it? I guess a bit wary of doing the whole solo type of operation even if we do pick up more magical girls and support.

our intelligence system is unmatched. she knows everything our enemy knows the second they have it planned.
they know where their weakspots are, when to hit for the best result.

couldn't ask for better intelligence :p

Gaia OP, pls don't nerf

We can talk to her again later when the demon invasion hits plus with Cerys not declare public enemy thus destroying Magical girl outreach.
WEAPON quest could go completely different.

does this mean no backstabbing and comsuming everything via until we can create a world of safety for Una? :(
Who is there to backstab? You already blew up Karen's house and set the remnants on fire on your way out.

Ah... this quest is almost tailor made to be WEAPON quest. There's the fucked up perspective and worldview, there's the whole referring to Gaia as "mother" bit, there's the fact that Cerys was already directly empowered by Gaia once already...
Honestly surprised it took this long to get here.

Ah true, I was hoping this Quest more early Magical Girl + Counterforce disrupt demon invasion with Cerys becoming the hero of humanity that all magical girls look up to her as legend.

[X] {XP} Plan
-[X] Flight 7 -> 13 (570)
-[X] Knights Aria 7 -> 10 (240)
-[X] Plasma Sphere 5 -> 10 (350)
-[X] Thermal Spear 8 -> 11 (270)
-[X] Plate Armour 10 -> 12 (210)

have a second draft for an exp plan. things this one does:
- raise our flight so we get the next level of high speed combat, allowing us to target moving enemies easier.
- also raising our own flightspeed, so some enemies will have a harder time targeting us. this is why this is raised to 13 and not 10. if it was boosted flight 11 likely would be enough, but since it isn't we go to 13.
- raising knights aria both increases daiyu's resilience and cerys damage (because daiyu will add an equal amount to her aria). we are attacking a fortified location of mages for the first time from the outside. daiyu can need all the defense she can get.
- raising the spells this far should all have them transition out of the exponential growth into the linear one.
- waiting to raise infinity edge after we got the training for a shop item done, so we do not lose out on MM
- raising plate armour two levels tripples our base resilience. even in her head quarters only a single enforcer could damage us before. this should make most of them unable to damage us, unless they synchronize their attacks, which daiyu will protect us from.

this will leave us with 293 XP leftover. to use in emergencies or for shop items after the mission.
I decided not to buy Ignition Aura: Incineration at this time, because it's use will be limited till we have it trained enough to not damage our allies.

suggestions or ideas for improvements?

[X] {Party} Cerys, Daiyu and Sabina
[X] {Entrance} Take advantage of the surprise and try to get a quick look around first

Not possible with WW3 starting up.
Not unless Rukia had the invasion happen before WW3, which I think we all know how that would go.

Of course, it's this. You press three buttons, 885, almost on instinct. The number had just popped into your head and lo-and-behold
love seeing Gaias subtle influence :D
"Who is it-- Oh." You'd recognise that multicoloured hair and giant pair of tits anywhere.

The looks she sends you is a mixture of predatory amusement and contemplation.
Good thing Gaia is taking it with humor. And I don't think Sabina has thought through all implications yet :p

The images suddenly disappear, the newscaster shuffling his papers a little numbly as a large picture takes up part of the screen. I recognise that. One of those fancy rune covered jets from the attack on the Fortress. The image pans out slightly and you see the flaming Big Ben in the background. The fuck? The newscaster gathers his courage and speaks, apparently the jet had dropped some sort of new bomb that caused all of the damage, and of course it was connected to the Counter Force because it was their jet. There was no jet. You look at Cerys when you feel the temperature fluctuate slightly, but her face might as well have been carved from stone.
Looks like Karen did her best to spin the damage on the Counter Force. Wonder what her enforcers are thinking, plenty saw what happened and know better.
Also makes me think Karen believes us to be with Gaia AND out of the picture. Only one of those is true.

She is in for a nasty surprise.

We did just escape being used as a pawn by someone we thought we could trust, and Cerys is rather paranoid by nature. Wanting to at least understand what Gaia's stated concrete goals are, and what our attacks are supposed to accomplish towards them, would be entirely in character, as well as just plain a good idea out of character.

Gaia already told us. She wants mankind stronger. Always.

This war and our involvement is meant get everyone ready for the type of warfare that will come when the barrier breaks.

Her recruitment pitch was do that for her and she'll protect us, our friends and especially our sister.

Just a reminder, Daiyu and Sabina will spend their XP after you decide on yours.
Also, chop-chop, no votes = no chapter.

Yes, but what does that mean in practical terms? Are we attacking them so they'll learn to fight against us? Are we trying to cripple their logistics so they can have small battles only where they learn how to fight without incurring mass casualties? Are we touring the hospitals and battlefields to heal people in order to minimize casualties of civilians especially so there'll still be a mankind left when the barrier drops? Or something else entirely? Does she have a plan for preventing the 'Libra's Lament' scenario? How does she intend to make mankind stronger and prepare them? How does she intend to use 'attack everyone' to accomplish 'make humanity as a whole stronger'?
Because as is, all we know of all that boils down to Step 1: Kill everyone, Step 2: ???, Step 3: Profit!

Maybe you should ask her.

I think stage one is forcing them to work together in order to violently kill us, aka get rid of disunity.

Maybe you should ask her.

That's what I've been arguing for.

[X] Ask her to explain her grand plan in more detail, including what our next mission is actually supposed to accomplish beyond wrecking lots of stuff. We will not be an unquestioning pawn to her either.

Valid?

I think stage one is forcing them to work together in order to violently kill us, aka get rid of disunity.

That's one possibility, but far from the only one. I'd prefer not to assume when the entire world is at stake and questions don't cost us anything.
