Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

That's what I've been arguing for.

[X] Ask her to explain her grand plan in more detail, including what our next mission is actually supposed to accomplish beyond wrecking lots of stuff. We will not be an unquestioning pawn to her either.

Valid?

That's one possibility, but far from the only one. I'd prefer not to assume when the entire world is at stake and questions don't cost us anything.
You are leaving for your mission now, there will be a chance to ask her when you get back.

Also trying to prevent WW3.
After all nukes trump 90% of the things that might try to attack earth at the moment.
If you are trying to prevent WW3 then you are at direct odds with Gaia.
She wants this.

Then we still need to know the following:
- Do we have a priority target or do we just shoot whatever we see?
- What are our stances on 1. Combatant Casualties, 2. Civilian Casualties, 3. Infrastructure Damage? Which of these should we pursue or avoid if possible?

[X] {XP} Plan
-[X] Flight 7 -> 13 (570)
-[X] Knights Aria 7 -> 10 (240)
-[X] Plasma Sphere 5 -> 10 (350)
-[X] Thermal Spear 8 -> 11 (270)
-[X] Plate Armour 10 -> 12 (210)

[X] {Party} Cerys and Daiyu
[X] {Entrance} Hard and fast, attack right away

Clocktower first
Casualties and Collateral damage are up to your discretion.

She want Humanity to nuke itself?

1 would 1 hit ako us to permdeath. Humanity has thousands.
Keep in mind that she can stop humanity from nuking itself by assuming control of the people in charge. Karen is probably not stupid enough to let a nuclear war start, anyway.
And neither is the Counter Force.

I don't think she would assume direct control, still ww3 'conventional' warfare I don't think I have any real problems with propagating.

Casualties and Collateral damage are up to your discretion.
Try to avoid civilian casualties where possible. Not likely that there are many around a military base though.
Deal enough damage to the infrastructure of the base that it won't be used again soon. Not total destruction, but simply make it too costly/not worth it to repair.
Kill the soldiers/enforcers who get in the way of you.
It's war, but there is no need to go out of our way to kill everyone. No need to go out of our way to spare soldiers/enforcers either though.

other questers have a different view on how we should let cerys play this?

There is no point looking around though. We could just ask Gaia... :/

I'm a little baffled by the people who are all like "But I don't want to start WW3 and I wanna be a hero!". Did they just...forget, or something, that Gaia has explicitly told us already that her goal is to kickstart WW3 and provoke a major military build-up and arms race so that when the Barrier starts cracking, Humanity in general is more prepared and militarized than they would otherwise be? And that she's totally fine with literally millions of casualties in the course of doing so?

I'm gonna be contrarian. Leave Sabina on the turtle, both as a guard for Una and also so that Cerys can make maximum use of her auras. Sabina isn't yet, I don't think, suited to operating against other mages who can take advantage of her status as something of a glass cannon with no real defensive abilities. She's just another source of damage and a body that Daiyu has to protect.

Take her against the Counter-Force, though, because she already has experience with that and they're less likely to be able to pull something exotic that seriously injures or kills her in one go.

Just a reminder, Daiyu and Sabina will spend their XP after you decide on yours.
Also, chop-chop, no votes = no chapter.

Sabina will be a little less squishy after she spent her EXP. And I don't think Una needs protection on the turtle.

Sabina is a little eager when it comes to fighting, and Cerys might need to rein her in a little again. But that is not unknown to Cerys.

*shrug*

Unless she has a powerful defensive ability or intercept that lets her stop people from just Lightning Bolting her, it's really only a matter of degrees. Sabina's build is pretty clearly a sword-focused glass cannon and area control specialist. She isn't, and never will be, meant to soak up or ignore damage.

So it comes down to, again, her being another body to split Daiyu's protective abilities across, or the decision to leave her vulnerable to focus defenses on someone else.

Always question Mother about everything!!
Not interested in staying as her WEAPONS like in the main quest, still hoping Cerys become a hero supported by humanity's armed forces.
I.... You... You realize that Gaia is literally the fucking planet, right? That from the very moment we became a magical girl we were her weapons regardless of what side we were on? You know that we can fight for Gaia and also be a hero supported by humanity's armed forces, right? Its not mutually exclusive.

Well, Cerys is sitting on an armchair with Una and you were deposited right onto Daiyu's lap. Umm.

Well, we know which pairing Gaia ships.

As soon as we have free time, I'd like to try combining Ignition Aura and A&O once more. We've only done it once so far.

We're no longer restrained by the fact there is a bunch of normies around us (except Daiyu's sister). Unless we were having headaches from it..? I can't remember for sure.

She doesn't have a ship, she has a fleet.

...what if we didn't want to go on the mission at all until we finally had some answers? =/
If there had been hints the thread wanted to ask these questions earlier I would have included them into the past votes.

It's uuhh... kinda time limited. If you had questions, you could have asked them before we spent all our time on chinese cartoons.
Basically this.
