Lel at the curse we didn't know about going away like that.
IGNITION KNIGHT Armour
Strengthen your amour. Create armour strengthening mini-chapter.
Required: Materials, knowledge on armour, 100 XP
You don't catch any humans, but you do sense that big mass of heat in the water. It seems to be slowly working it's way towards your general area, though you don't know if it's looking for you.
Once it gets into the shallow areas of the water, it ambles around a little before moving back towards deeper water.
Nothing that big should like here, seeing as the lake freezes every year.
*Looks at chapter's title*The large fish thing was still ambling around three hundred metres away or so, though it was easily a hundred metres underwater at this point, so there wasn't much to be worrying about there.
Yeah. We might want to stay away from the road. We don't know if the US military have broadcasted their love for circumstantial evidences yet.Rukia said:you still feel distant signs of humans sometimes. The road was a good six hundred metres away, almost at the limit of your range, but you could feel the drastically hotter tarmac compared to the forest around it clearly. I bet every MG have their own unique Barrier. Like in PMMM.
It could be talking about our Alpha and Omega ability.Nope. Nope nopenopenopenopenope. NOPE! We are not walking close to the edge of the lake.
If we advertise that point/Alpha and Omega, they just might.
Required: Materials, knowledge on armourSo we basically inflict entropy on everything around us within the barrier and then absorb the energy into ourselves...
That is fucking terrifying so far as powers go...
EDIT: So we have 145 Exp right now and this is up in the shop. I'm kinda tempted to pick that up?
Required: Materials, knowledge on armour
You have neither, unless you feel that tree bark is good enough to try and incorporate into your armour?
Diamonds and Silk would be a pretty damn good mix for materials. Don't know if the study into carbon nano-tubes is a thing yet or not. And eventually there's the non-human/magical materials we can obtain as well.Ah right, missed that a bit, I read that as 'knowledge on materials' and figured that the info books we have probably have something in there.
But yeah okay, fair enough...
I guess that would be one reason to consider heading back to civilization.
Well, we have a good safe haven here for the moment, but I'm worried about the lake thing, and we are limited in how much we can do. If we're at the great lakes that means we're pretty close to Canada at least, so I figure we stay maybe one day, then make for the border? Possibly try to get picked up as hitchhikers even?

Accidentally set coal mine on fire...I wonder if there's a coal mine anywhere nearby. After all, heat and pressure are two things we can easily provide...
Heat, yes. Pressure, ... Eh, maybe. Depends on if we can keep the ice sphere we trap it in from melting under the heat we would need to exert......I wonder if there's a coal mine anywhere nearby. After all, heat and pressure are two things we can easily provide...
Not really? Again, the pressure we need to exert means it's all trapped.
The funny rating is so useful. Good for both something being funny and for something being horrifying... I wonder if they designed it that way on purpose come to think of it...Ooooh boy. These rolls.
It's time for me to write the WORLD NEWS chapter.
These fucking rolls
It's probably magical, so common sense doesn't apply to it. And why do we need to find what it is?I'm thinking we should try luring the fish to the shore, and then trapping it nearby by freezing the water behind it.
Then we could find out what it is.
You chose a tree of choice and carefully wind your arm back, before stabbing straight forwards. The spear shatters on the bark of the tree, though it does leave a burn mark where it had struck. Ah, yeah, fragile. You really needed to figure out some way to make these harder. Right now they held a shape but were useless at actually hitting something, they just broke, easy as they were to re-form.
Just a thought but maybe instead of making the fire more physical then it already is we could do something when the fire spear reaches our target. That very brief moment of contact wasn't enough to catch the tree on fire and it's going to be the same for practically everything else. Fire needs time to spread, so What if we make the spear copy the effects of napalm so when our spear reaches our target it will be on fire and stay on fire immediately? Or we could do this until we can make the impact damage do more and combine the two? Course we have to in character look up napalm probably.Thermal Weapon
Can create weapons from fire or ice. They deal Ignition Aura damage on contact.
What the what?! Well this was a very pleasant surprise, I wonder what exactly it was doing to us? Like -5 damage resistance?
I'm having so many lake placid flashbacks. You keep careful watch of the thing, seeing it slowly continue coming closer. Once it gets into the shallow areas of the water, it ambles around a little before moving back towards deeper water. You quietly share your findings with Una, making sure that she won't go into the water without you there to keep watch. You honestly don't even know if it's a hostile fish of some sort, but you don't know of any sort of water creature of that size in Lake Superior. Nothing that big should like here, seeing as the lake freezes every year.
Later. First learn to make the solid-fire weapon properly, then learn to make it so it shatters apart and sprays the napalm inside it all over whatever it hits.Just a thought but maybe instead of making the fire more physical then it already is we could do something when the fire spear reaches our target. Come on America kick into high gear soon.
Ouch, I feel bad for them.
Maybe it was a roll for their belief whether or not it was a hoax and it's good they think that? We're still a secret for most of the world.???
(82 + 15 = 97)
There have been strange events being reported recently. People appearing and then disappearing or a strange light flowing from nowhere. Most of these events have been reported over the American continent, with the recent disappearances happening at the northern border it is expected that the majority of these are hoaxes looking for attention. Some worth needs to be put to these words as a short recording was recovered from the recent terrorist attack.
It shows the town before the fire consumed everything. It is a short recording of street that is covered in bodies and damaged buildings. The clip only manages to show a person running down the street, covered in blood before an enormous shadow falls over the camera and destroys it. It has been speculated that this is a hoax of some sort, but it is thought of as unlikely, as the recording was leaked by military analysts located in the attacked town.
Oh damn, the demon... still a 15 is great... I think? Or maybe it was a roll to notice he was missing in which case this is horrible. Still glad we killed it so quickly every bad roll for them is more time for us.(30 - 15 = 15)
The search for the missing one begins, his absence has been noted.
They better be talking about the Demon. Some worth needs to be put to these words as a short recording was recovered from the recent terrorist attack.
I'm surprised the Demons can tell they're missing one of them.Rukia said:???

Shit. It's the cyclop-thing in the mountains, isn't it?People appearing and then disappearing or a strange light flowing from nowhere. I don't mind sharing at all that said thing is currently in the Scottish highlands.
Super abilities are beautiful. Just sayingAlpha and Omega
Level 3 -> 5
You've discovered that your barrier can destroy magic the same as everything else, living beings other than you are no longer safe within your barrier. Currently deals 5 damage per turn. This effect is additionally applied every turn the enemy is within the barrier with no upper limit. 5dmg -> 10dmg -> 15 dmg. Once they leave your barrier, the stack dispels after one turn.
So long as this ability is in effect and is consuming your surroundings, you cannot run out of magic.
Passively consumes magic being used against you. Buffs and Debuffs are applied at 50% strength and only last one turn. Offensive magic's are weakened by 25% per turn they spend inside the barrier.
I am honestly surprised we even got flight level 1
If that is the case, it is probably the fact that they think it is unlikely to be a hoax is the best optionMaybe it was a roll for their belief whether or not it was a hoax and it's good they think that? We're still a secret for most of the world.
The most surprising part of this is that the EU and America have both started floundering. While the Commonwealth has started a massive investment project the other nations have fallen into disarray and internal bickering. Many investors who had been planning on investing in these nations have since passed over to the vast expanses of land that Canada and Australia own, encouraged with money grants and promises of low taxes.
EU

The recent collapse of China hit the European countries hard, unexpected as it as. Germany has started bulking up it's exports in response, however other countries appear to be stuck in a bureaucratic nightmare of their own creation as their contradicting laws tangle with one another. The situation has made it something of an avoidance zone of any who wish to invest right now.
Japan
(5 + 15 = 20)
In Japan, a massive earthquake has hit the northern end of the country, killing thousands and doing countless hundreds of billions of yen in damage. Luckily, most of the region was farming and mountainous, so casualties were limited, however it is a crippling blow to many who live on the northern island.
The entire situation is compounded upon by the recent disappearances near the Canadian border and the massive terrorist attack that hit one of it's northern cities just days ago. Much of the city was left ablaze resulting in tens of thousands of injuries and thousands of deaths. The military is staying completely silent on possible causes, however it has been noticed that they are sending enormous search parties north towards the Canadian border, with the border itself receiving a large garrison for the first time in over a hundred years.
In other news, a there was a gathering of minds in London this week. Scientists, artists and philosophers from around the world attended and mingled. There is whispering in the background of an enormous scientific project in the works. A scientific bastion of truly colossal scale. These rumours seem to be validated by what appears to be construction of an entire city in the northern reaches of Scotland.
I don't mind sharing at all that said thing is currently in the Scottish highlands.
