Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

You could just add that in.
There's one overall problem, and two symptoms from that.
The problem is that not all people stick around for a quest discussion after making a vote and don't come back 'till an update.
The three symptoms are:
People who copied my vote verbatim won't be affected by the new addition.
People who I'd tag in a request for them to update their votes might not do so or even agree to.

Thus, my addition might not be wanted, or even part of the winning vote. Still, if you think it's worth a shot...

1.No one did a copy paste so far, its all been your name. Edit: One person has, my apologies.

2. That's there fault. If you even go so far as to tag them, they really only have themselves to blame... or way to many alerts popping up. If that's the case though they should be regularly checking out their unread thread page seeing if they missed anything that way. In which case its still their fault.

[X] Run him down yourself. Ignore the duplicates and always fly after the newest copy of Oni Lee, shooting as fast as you can.

2. Samantha can only teleport to 'known coordinates'. I have no idea how restrictive or loose that is.
LoS, places she's been before, places in WAS range (when cast), and places she has actually looked up longitude and latitude coordinates for.
3. The only limit I know of on Oni Lee's teleporting is that each one takes slightly more of his mind and how long the clones last, not how fast he can do them. This means he can potentially beat Samantha's melee Alpha-strike.
He has no hard and fast canon limit, but here, I'm giving him a 1 second cool down. Magic teleportation requires 2-3 seconds.
I've said why I don't want to get Samantha next to a clone since it'll just suicide, but there's more than just that. Her Battle Frenzy explicitly lists that she can die mid-frenzy due to overwhelming injuries. Anyone who's had the stomach to look up IED/Suicide bomber casualty injuries... let's just say those are pretty debilitating for those who haven't. Again, this is not the time or place to be testing that damage reduction.
To give you perspective, Taylor just took a grenade blast at point-blank range, and she's feeling it. She can still fly and shoot, but she isn't up to any kind of physical combat. Sam has a stronger barrier, but if she gets too hurt, she can no longer contribute to the fight.

[X] Always Late

This is so long as we play the safe game and stay out of his range while using WAS to do our work for us in regards to aiming. Also, I personally don't think we need to risk Sam getting hurt in this fight so kinda on the fence on whether or not to let her try to attack when a chance appears.

Seems like a pretty good plan. Just a question, but what do we do if Oni Lee attacks Purity? In Cenotaph, he teleported right next to her and stabbed her, which took her out of the fight.

Just go ahead and edit it in. The whole point of a direct proxy vote is trust that the one who has your proxy would make the right choices. Otherwise they'd copy-paste.

Hm... no, if they track a ash clone its not useful.
They probably would track the ash clone, due to how Oni Lee's teleportation works:
1) Create a clone of Oni Lee at the destination.
2) Original and clone takes a second of action.
3) Original disintegrates.

So all possible tracking effects would go for the dying original regardless.
He has no hard and fast canon limit, but here, I'm giving him a 1 second cool down. Magic teleportation requires 2-3 seconds.

IIRC his canon limitation is primarily based on mindstate erosion. The more he teleports, the more copy-errors he has, and his mentality degrades. So more of a total use limit before he grinds away his personality and experience than a number of blinks per second. This in turn means he usually tries to get his bearings before a second teleport, because they're not free, he's casting from xp. Which functionally works out to about a single teleport per second or so.

Given that, the best option would be the following sequence:
[] Stay where you are and fire whenever he appears. Thanks to Homing Bullet, your shots will chase down whomever you aim them at.
-[] Apply Wide Area Search to pin down his location, and then sic Samantha on that location, ready a second use of Wide Area Search immediately to trigger the instant he teleports.
-[] Smash the new position of his teleport with Flare Shooter immediately, with additional volleys for effect in random directions to force him to take more care with where he teleports for fear of ramming into a random bullet.

However, I don't have enough time online to update with new strategy and discussion, so I hope @Always Late could incorporate that.

Well, since all three of the party are staying above the rooftops, if Lee teleports up there he'll probably go with something alot more damaging. But if you're asking about what happens if anyone gets injured, then its bug out.

Really? Thought the Clone/Origional thing was the other way around. That's some SOMA shit right there.

I thought Wide Area Search was something that went up and stayed up?
Do we really need to recast it every time he teleports?

That... sounds like a good way for property damage.

Word of Wildbow. His teleports copy his body down to the mind, but imperfectly, then destroys the real deal. It's why he's the silent ninja type in the end. There wasn't much left of him except service to Lung/Bakuda.

IIRC this was how the revised Wide Area Search works in this game. It's not a remote scrying sensor, but an almost instant sweep of the immediate zone for a specific thing.

If you aimed them to hit stuff instead of detonating in midair yes.

Can't seem to find a quote that says anything on that. Was this mentioned on the SB thread?
Once you cast WAS, it stays up until you drop it or cast it somewhere else. That's how you get the real-time tracking I promised you. So long as Oni Lee stays within your (currently) 6 block range, you'll know when and where he appears.

This is a Worm/LMGN thread. You need to escalate the situation and then 'Befriend' each other before figuring out! :p
